  1. Yes there are guard dudes flying in aggressors and also the 422 that I know of for sure. It's possible, to apply for the aggressor one, the others over there I think it's more of an internal dudemized recommendation. Overall you've got to be a good dude who's pretty also a pretty sharp dude. A nod from you SQ weapons dude helps too. Sledy The dude abides.....
  2. I use SafeLog from Dauntless Software and I really like it. It has a ton of options that I unfortunately don't use, but the fact that the guy continually updates it, and will even modify it and make changes to it based on your input is nice. The 8710 feature is nice The ability to print Jepp style pages is nice The online backup is nice The ability to have it on more than one computer is nice The fee is not so nice, but it really isn't that much for a 5 year subscription. Sledy Edit spelling
  3. I ended up doing the same thing and it was all taxed. It doesn't matter where you are when you recieve the check, it matters where you are when you are earning the leave. If you are in a tax free environment and you earn leave that you subsequently sell back once you get home (non-tax free environment), you still get that leave at a tax free rate because you earned it in a tax free environment. Opposite is true for your situation. There is one exception to that, PM and I'll let you know. If you find something else out, let me know, because I got screwed out of 55 days of tax free leave sell back. I'm pretty sure it's as stated above though. Sledy
  4. Anybody have any insight into seniority based (i.e. airlines) and returning to work in regards to bid status. Example, I left as an F/O in equipment A, and can now hold Captain in equipment A and B. When I choose to return, can I choose both the seat and equipment I can return to? We have no company policy against it as far as I can tell in our contract, just curious about USERRA rules for seniority based companies. Thanks in advance Sledy
  5. Luke, Tucson takes just a few, Kelly does one class a year I think, and Springfield is closed now which sucks. Chances are, you'll go to Luke PCS 9 months is about right
  6. Read some of the comments on that page. Some people are just ######ing stupid beyond belief.... Sledy
  7. I don't have that switch...would love to though.
  8. CAPS for this scenario IFF BUTTON -- PRESS 3 -- ENTER 5 -- ENTER UPON RE-ENTERING ALTITUDE 3 -- ENTER 5 -- ENTER Buckeye MOA is a tough MOA though. Lots of traffic, and for some reason, ATC likes to keep them just above it. I know a guy that tried, and came damn close to suceeding, doing a rejoin on a United A320 after some HABFM. Springfield was a schoolhouse. Sledy
  9. Actually, the Koayashi was the common term for the "excessive lift vector in lead" maneuver that is typically used during a radius defense. Hair split. Sledy

  12. Thread Revival: With the cutbacks, anyone know if they're still doing the 2 254 day cycles or just 1? My initial orders are for 1 and was just curious if they add the second one on later. Thanks in advance. Sledy
  13. AlphaMF-thanks man, that's what I needed. USMC, ORI is this week so......yeah.......no official guidance as of yet, but we'll see. I don't expect it, but I figured I might as well get one set out of the moving containers. Give me a call. Sledy
  14. I used the search function, but all links to AFI36-2903 appear to be broke, along with the one on the e-publishing website it keeps telling me that "the file is damaged and could not be repaired". Anyone have a hard copy of the AFI to PM, a link that works, or some computer help to get the website to actually work. I haven't worn blues in two years and can't remember if it's 1/2 inch, 3/4 inch, or all the other stupid numbers. Thanks in advance. Sledy
  15. BTW, who is that in the avatar?

  18. We used this for our IFF class photo, we gained inspiration from all the others on here, thought I'd share it.
  19. Hey Sleepy Sorry to hear about the troubles. I used your letter with SLFC and didn't really have any problems. When I talked with them they capped my commerical loans at 6%, but my federal consolidated loans they offered to put them on a Dep. of Defense deferrment. I talked with the legal dept on base and they helped a bit. As the others have said that should be a good bet, good luck. Sledy
