  1. Since they're supposed to be original...
  2. How early will the draft be? I voted for a live draft but that is a holiday weekend.
  3. Awesome. I'm a diehard Bengals fan so I have to represent my team somewhat. I'm sure it will hurt my scores in the league but thats ok. EDIT: And another newbie question. All the QBs and RBs are at the top and the Team D's down in the 100s and kickers around the 200s. With an autodraft how low down that list is it going to go? Will it just keep taking receivers until you have the 8 WRs the league allows as a max? What if you end up with 8 WR, 8RB then you'd have no D or special teams or anything. Or should I be moving the kicker I want up into like the top 25 players in my ranking?
  4. So will it do the auto-draft based on how you rank the people you want? I was under the impression that an auto-draft just picked whoever the top ranked player was each time your pick came up.
  5. How serious are you guys about this kind of stuff? Never done it before but I know some people get really into it. EDIT: I joined but have no clue what I'm doing. Should be interesting.
  6. Apparently the students didn't like him much, from that youtube video comments sections.
  7. It is kind of awkward getting in and out but I certainly wasn't complaining.
  8. It's actually 2 seater. They removed all the shielding and some other things from behind the pilot's seat and added a second seat and basic instruments/controls. Unless you see inside the cockpit or see two people in it you wouldn't know the difference. I've watched it transform from being just a body with no wings to this state and its been a pretty incredible restoration. They've had an FG-1 Corsair all stripped down to be restored for a couple years now but keep getting sidetracked. Bought a B-25 that was supposed to be in flying condition but when it showed up it was spewing oil all over the place so they had to fix it up a bit. Life is just rough for some people isn't it?
  9. I have friends who go every year. Look for Cincinnati Miss and they usually take either Tweety, a yellow AT-6, or a blue TBM-3 Avenger, don't remember its name. I've gotten to fly in the P-51, absolutely amazing. If somebody could find a way to legally get the owner up in a pointy nosed jet I bet he would reciprocate with some time in the Mustang. He's a pretty cool guy.
  10. It will usually get paid about a day or two after its due. I can't tell you how many times the bursars office threatened to disenroll students from our Det because ROTC didn't pay tuition on time. That's always a fun phone call let me tell you.
  11. https://members.shaw.ca/rlongpre01/moon.html
  12. Looking at the website its written by the same guys who did The Wire so no wonder its good. Also explained where the hell I recognized the one main Marine from. He was in season 2 of The Wire.
  13. Not to break from all the T&A but this is hilarious.
  14. Anybody watching this new series on HBO? It's being referred to as Band of Brothers meets the Iraq war. Not sure it will be as good but I watched the first episode last week. The Sergeant Major reminded me of a lot of the bitching from the Deid thread, yelling at people to tuck in their shirts while turning wrenches on a Humvee in the middle of the desert. Does that mentality really make its way into even the Marine Corp? Anyways, seems like it will be interesting and HBO usually comes up with some pretty good mini-series.
  15. You shouldn't have to. Our COC did that during Lead Lab one day. If you live near your Det you can pop your head in just to be safe but it shouldn't be necessary. Many people go home for the summer and are hundreds of miles from their Det(I usually was) so making them report in within a certain timeframe would be dumb.
  16. So its bad when "shoes" have no clue about the ops lifestyle and its also bad when they actually go out with the ops people? What should they do exactly?
  17. Does anybody use other sports to train their cardio instead of running? I get bored out of my mind running, whether its on a treadmill, a track, the street, music or not. I know its a mental thing but I feel good after lifting and like shit after running. I was looking at taking up boxing or muay thai since I know they require a lot of cardio but the training is more than just simply running all the time. Anybody else do this? Obviously swimming would be good but you can't just go join a swim team somewhere but with the boxing I would have others to help keep me pushing myself. The crossfit seems pretty popular from the responses in this thread.
  18. I think you meant 8-9% annually. The Fed Funds target rate is currently at 2.0% here because the Fed is trying to bail out the banks instead of worrying about inflation. The UK equivalent, The Central Bank of the UK, has their target rate currently at 5%. Thus, as Grey said, higher interest rates on savings as well as on loans. This is an overly simplistic explanation but one of the main reasons.
  19. I've heard good things about it but don't do it personally. I hate working on cardio and need somebody to push me to make me keep on it so I've been considering either signing up at Crossfit gym or taking up Muay Thai.
  20. Anybody in the Dallas area catch this gem on the news recently? Apparently black holes are a racial thing now and not a phenomenon in space that sucks in everything including light and not letting it escape. People like this really piss me off. https://www.myfoxdfw.com/myfox/pages/Home/D...mp;pageId=1.1.1
  21. How long does it take for them to pack up your stuff usually? I EAD on 1 Sept and was told even with orders the movers can't come until you EAD because you aren't actually Air Force property yet. My RNLT is 4 Sept and I need to get from Ohio to Colorado Springs which will be ~1,200 miles of driving. Since I'll have to be there to watch them pack up my stuff I can't leave until after they do and I'm just trying to make sure thats enough time. I'm planning on doing a partial DITY so the movers shouldn't have all that much stuff to pack really.
  22. My local gun store only had 1911's that were $1,000 and up which is more than I have to spend at the moment. I really wish I could afford something from these guys. https://www.westernfirearms.com/wfc
  23. Any good recommendations for a 1911? I've already got a Glock 21 so plenty of .45ACP. Now I need a 1911 to share it with.
  24. Thanks for the info. I really want to get back to learning Chinese. Anybody used the Rosetta Stone for Mandarin? I see some other people have said their Korean stuff isn't any good.
  25. Seriously? That was the way I was taught to blouse my BDU's and the only way I've ever done it. It specifically says in an AFI we can't do that? Quick look through AFI 36-2903 has no mention of this not being allowed. All its says at 2.7.6 is "6. Individuals may sew down pockets but no local policy will be established to make it mandatory. Secure BDU pant legs around or in the uppermost portion of combat boot so the fabric of the lower exposed pant leg blouses over the top edge of the combat boot."
