  1. Yeah I would have to say a 250 is just too small and you would outgrow it rather quickly. I also read that the new 250 gets significantly worse mpg than the older models.
  2. There should be no speculation, find your safety officer and read the f'ing report.
  3. Holy shit, the jet can fly in rain.
  4. You'll have to read the entire safety report.

    Popped ears

Yeah just snort some Afrin and you'll be good to go.
  6. Check out www.motorcycleroads.us for recommended roads. The Talladega National Forest is a nice area to ride but it is 2.5 hours away.
  7. Sweet Ducati. A dude I know has the red one but he sure can't ride the distance that I can.
  8. Yes a few times. The cops have gotten bad on the Dragon so watch out. There are plenty other roads to ride like the Hellbender and Cherohala Skyway. Not sure where you are staying but there is a hotel in Robbinsville, NC called Two Wheel Inn (https://www.twowheelinn.com/). You have your own motorcycle garage attached to your room. If you ride the Dragon then I definitely recommend riding very early in the morning. It gets busy quick. Falls on the Skyway On the Dragon
  9. Yes I have the vest and it works great with the ID card. They just scan it through the holder so you don't have to remove it. Only after 10:00 pm is when you have to remove it so they can see the back. I've never been asked for a safety card, just had to give a copy to the safety office.
  10. Kawasaki ZX-12R as a LT. Now as a Captain I have a ZX-14. I want the new Camaro when it comes out but the woman of the house says I have to sell the bike.
  11. So what's the chance it was one of the guys going to the F-22? That would suck.
  12. They also said they offered all the passengers psychological counseling.
  13. Well I imagine he's talking fiscal year 2008.
  14. I was returning from x-mas leave back to Randolph and my wife and kids took me to the airport. I had to use my military ID to check in since I had the gov fare and the lady at the counter gave me passes for the family. I thought that was pretty cool since I didn't even ask for one.
  15. I wasn't at Daytona but watching it on TV you could see the Thunderbirds do more than one pass. You could hear them during the interviews after the anthem and see people still looking up. It was the first time the Thunderbirds flew over Daytona and it was also the 50th running of the race. They were there at the track during race week and even gave a ride to a driver and broadcaster. Funny thing is, the Air Force car didn't even qualify!
  16. Been there, done that! At least you still have a CSA in your squadron, hell we don't even have those anymore. I believe our squadron has been reduced to a few life support troops (which are consolidating at the wing too) and a casual LT.
  17. I have a ZX-14 and love it! I've ridden it on a 1400/4-day road trip from the Smokies to NC and back thru TN and MO (SR-32 thru Mark Twain Nat'l Forest is sweet!) when I was stationed at Whiteman. I felt pretty good during the trip and constantly did 160-200 mile legs. My longest day was 480. My ass did get sore the last day (sts) but that's still with the stock seat. I've heard good things about Corbin seats but haven't tried one. The Concours 14 sport touring bike is out if you're interested in the sportbike look. I've heard many good things about it. If you want a big cruiser then look at the Yamaha Royal Star Venture. My Dad has one and we've taken a road trip together through TN and it's a nice bike. He did well with it on the dragon too. Concours 1400
  18. +2 Try State Farm for insurance too. Not sure of type of bike you're looking at but they only care about cc's.

    PIT Crash Pad

It's close but lacks the hot chicks that EFD has.
  20. Hell I had almost 8 tickets on my record and several were for speeding and the others were careless driving or something like that for smoking the tires. I enlisted and was even on PRP (not sure how much that matters) with no issues. I was even picked up for ROTC and got a pilot slot. I even had a few more tickets while enlisted. As you can see I don't think it matters much. BTW, not one ticket since! I've been pulled over a few times and have been thanked for serving my country and was released with a warning. Once was on my motorcycle hauling ass around Charlotte and still can't believe he let me go.
  21. I only went to Club USA and G-Spot. My old squadron is out there right now. I'm missing out on the great scuba diving.
  22. I definitely try to thank others in uniform as well. I returned from leave yesterday from my training TDY so my wife and kids took me to the airport. I used my military ID to check-in and the lady at the ticket counter asked if I wanted a pass for the wife and kids so obviously I said yes. She thanked me for serving and that was pretty cool hooking us up with the passes.
  23. I don't think it's good anymore because my new trailer is still enclosed even though it's rather small (#8 states body no higher than 28 inches). However #5 states associated trailer and it's clearly a motorcycle trailer so maybe they'll count the weight. I can't put anything else in it other than a few bags around the bike. Anyways I just looked at the weight and it's only 650 lbs so how much are we talking anyways?
  24. I had glasses while in UPT because I hadn't started the contact program yet. I really hated flying with them and I seemed to have hot spots around my ears. Once I got to my unit I started wearing contacts and had no issues since. However to wear contacts in UPT I believe you have to have them in for 6 months or so.
  25. I was former SF and I ran into some dick head pilots in my days. I really hope I'm not that way now and I always thank SF troops when I see them. Their job sucks hard and trust me, they get shit on constantly.
