  1. It's totally unreasonable to expect no drinking while traveling as well...
  2. Typical F'n thugs...
  3. Sounding like an idiot...
  4. Tactical deception! What...oh ya, I knew my DOR was coming up, totally forgot! I'll go get that sewn on ASAP. That will work for about 2-3 lower level guys, but only 1 DO or CC, then it's time to fix it. Another good one is the, "oh crap I wore one of my old flightsuits with 2LT (or 1LT) rank!" It's a fine art, but done correctly, you can stretch that out for a few weeks or, if you're good, months! Key is to avoid leadership at all costs! Also stay away from anyone that has already heard your excuses...this keeps them from catching on to your ploy! The vault is generally the best place to avoid all who would actually give a damn....plus much of what you need, to be good at your job (flying/killing), is conveniently located there as well! Now this is important...if found out, bribes may work! I recommend Glenlivet 18 year or better, Johnnie Walker Green, Jameson 18 year, or the standard Jack! Goodluck! I want all the pay of Capt with the responsibility of a LT Fighter Pilot. It was the best job I have ever had in the SQ! My job was to fly, know everything I could about flying my jet, fly some more and keep the bar stocked. Not get all bogged down with BS "additional duties," that really relegate flying to an additional duty and let your skills atrophy...why would you want to get promoted (minus the pay)! I about the first time I had to say, I need off the schedule or said I couldn't fill that open line because I had to work to do! Here I thought my job was to be a pilot. My wife's birthday and our anniversary, should be easy to remember too...but I seem to screw that up year to year! 2! I make it a point to check it about once a month, mainly so I can unf%ck the inevitable errors! Takes all of about 2-3 minutes if everything is correct.
  5. 2! Have yet to join! the club!
  6. If we are in such dire straights and drastic measures are needed, then NO ONE should be immune to the cuts! We are all in this together...including Congress. Yes, I think it's symbolically important that they take the cuts as well. How can they have nerve to look all other Federal workers in the eye and say, you need to take a pay cut...but not me!
  7. As stoleit2x said...I'll buy the pay freeze, IF all members of our government lead by example and freeze their pay as well!
  8. I love flying light twins, but would never want to own one. Not when you can buy a plane like a Cherokee 6 and fly the same or greater payload, while giving up relatively little airspeed, for a fraction of the cost. When you factor MX on that second engine, and a turbo if you add that...your price skyrockets. Also, check on the price of insurance, that alone may be a game changer! Now, I will caveat that with the fact that twin prices are relatively low right now. So if you are set on buying one it's a decent time to do so.
  9. Don't forget dealing with CRAZY instructors! Those who have flown with him, I'm sure, will never forget it! Great dude! NSFW, I guess...
  10. This and add in the Squadron toast, if you have one.
  11. Why not...the tweet could do it! Which is probably why you need full aileron to pull a straight loop.
  12. Haha, we used to have to suffer through that video every year, back in my enlisted days, when we knocked out all our annual requirement! I figured it would go well with all the people nerding out about the obogs/LOX/Nitrous.
  13. Block 50/52 Vipers.
  14. It's a good thing Congress doesn't have any other pressing issues to deal with...
  15. Seems odd to be speaking so late on a Sunday night!
  16. Yet another reason these guys should never pay for a beer!
  17. WOW...my bad. Too much
  18. Speaking of WTF...WTF happened to the posts of Lt I have to much time on my hands, so I became a NFL cheerleader. I'm pretty sure it was on this thread!
  19. Then said Airman cries (no shit, actually cries), goes to the shirt and complains that so and so, was mean to them. First shirt goes to his commander, who talks to your commander, your commander forces you to apologize to the airman. Not shit, a Major forced to apologize to a SrA, for giving the airman a counseling session (in private). It started out as a "talking to," to the airman about not doing their job, when the airman got respectful, it was time to talk in private! Our Marine exchange officer about shit his pants when he saw this! Saw it happen...
  20. 10%...awesome!
  21. Are we talking an active A1C, or a guard A1C? Had an buddy (A1C) making just under 100k and numerous SrA - SSgt friends making well over 100k, in their civilian jobs!
  22. This has been a big question lately. I would go into the base retention people or whoever run the GI Bill at your base. They should have nailed down, what you can and can't use. I haven't looked into it in a while, but I'm pretty sure they are getting it changed so you can count your title 32 time as well. From what I understand, you can only use a total of 48 months worth of GI-Bill from any of the various benefits (AD, Reserve, Post 9-11). I used the Reserve GI-Bill for college, so I only have 9 months left on mine...but it's still a years worth for the kiddo!
  23. I hope they have been hitting up the BSA range! Ok, so...tight base, IAA, high wire, thing on the thing...$hit there went min release!
  24. Wow, I'm surprised it took this long for this story to end up here. I love the description of his profile pic in the second link. FAIL!
