The British investment on Ukrainian soil (aka fixed targets) for war manufacturing is a bigger risk than British-trainers in Western Ukraine I think. Who's £s??? Not to mention whatever new involvement in the Black Sea too. Very sticky situation

"The Per Diem Committee ensures that uniform travel and transportation regulations are issued for members of the Uniformed Services and DoD civilian employees." Pretty sure DTS is an approved method, and specified as such. The Per Diem Committee gets to set these policies and gets the final $ say. https://www.dfas.mil/MilitaryMembers/travelpay/regulations/

Bye bye demo teams (A-10, F-15E, F-16)

They did, I flew them there and back. -
For example some joint non-rated-required joint staff tours or OCONUS non-flying accompanied = 36m Or some controlled teaching tours are 24, 36, or 48 months... Or some education programs (i.e. Masters/PhD) could be 24-36m or longer Or like how the AU Fellowships for IDE/SDE used to be 2+1y =36m (but those were exempted as PME, but did change ones ASC at the HARM...however if you extended in-place too long after PME and your ASC chang(es/ed)....!!!) ....its all tabulated monthly as rated payback and reported to Congress eventually as utilizing rated forces, AND FUNDING, effectively There is always a 'pumpkin' timer!!..even a personal one, especially noticeable lately in people around ~17 YaS/TAFMSD, those salty, grumpy people...Caveat Emptor!

Seen it, checks. The CEA pumpkin timer! Don't go enhancing yourself for more than 48 months at the expense of a thinner pocketbook.

Likely, but not as entertaining

So making biblical bricks without straw is akin to making pilots without airplanes!?...nah AR/VR will work..makes great filler and cohesive-binding substitute, especially when they not a fully rated simulation substitute by their own enterprise standards...on second, but really first thought...double nah

Had to research a project and find Army pubs. Opening the page found the ?quintessential Army experience? under the top downloaded forms and it gave me a good laugh... 1. I want to leave, take leave 2. You've been counseled 3. We're taking admin action against you 4. I have a new dependent to add to MilPDS 5. I need to borrow something

Take rate is up!! ...when you decrease the denominator, and rig the math. AFPC should put a metric of take rate percent vs IDE in-res select/attendee. That would reveal the take-to-stay/play rate of rewarding the yes-people under their control, the 'on-ramp' people. To be fair, no gripe is holistic without an accompanying proposed fix, so, reward free, independent thinkers who have the courage to speak up and act. Senior leaders should listen instead of shoving everyone into your box-construct of self-licking ice creams (Aka adapt and the system adapt like AF teaches and preaches). Build new carton constructs, like see-through milk containers so everyone avoids any sour, curdled milk! What AF does not realize is people see the covered, non-descript AF container is fermented and about to explode.

No, make it a PhD, while shifting the goalposts, why not...

So if USA is in for another CR, and maybe no paycheck during a gov't shutdown, and likely in the future, could a DPAP contract be indentured servitude? Aka no $ for work contract? And maybe not even the BoP, at the discretion of USAF?! Interesting plausible path...
-
And give you a PCS commitment of 1-2 years or 3 for OCONUS accompanied while under a DPAP ADSC? So when does the DPAP ADSC go away if BoP is not honored? 1 year before or after being voluntold for another PCS?? didn't read the fine print covering that administrative dilemma

Easy when the denominator is adjusted closer to 0, they'd probably try a 0 denominator policy if possible. Oh wait, what's this? https://www.defensenews.com/air/2023/03/08/us-air-force-eyes-fleet-of-1000-drone-wingmen-as-planning-accelerates/ https://www.af.mil/News/Article-Display/Article/2448376/ai-copilot-air-force-achieves-first-military-flight-with-artificial-intelligence/ https://www.c4isrnet.com/unmanned/2020/09/28/the-air-forces-robot-pilot-returns-to-the-skies/ https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.military.com/daily-news/2022/07/21/air-force-testing-autonomous-control-transport-planes-amid-pilot-shortage.html/amp https://www.defensenews.com/air/2016/11/09/darpa-banks-on-robot-copilots-to-help-quell-military-pilot-shortage/ Heck even Amrny and Marines trying it! https://www.armytimes.com/news/your-army/2018/10/31/this-darpa-program-will-give-army-and-marine-aviators-a-robot-co-pilot/

Hell, I'd settle for a common-sense cover-up! (Ha, so many jokes in one brief, ha). You know, like a cover-up that isn't derived from down-under; or a simple play on/of/with/among/between/opposite prepositions!

Questions in response to your question, because this isn't the right medium for specific answers. A cliché GI Joe quote is, "knowledge is half the battle!" This case being knowledge of test processes. But what is other half, actual execution thereof??? And, does test know and employ the way test is regulated and supposed to test? Do our Senior Leaders truly understand test? Are we structured in this period of adapt or lose to test fast enough? What is the limiting factor? Do we need more tests, which I akin to fun play and learning? A metaphor that comes to mind lately is that the Service's aim is correct, but the "organizational-ballistics", being misunderstood, lead to a target miss. The miss we all talk about and loathe - 'they can't get it right'. For whatever the reasons, some being wrong "powder", wrong "grain- weight", wrong "barrell", wrong "twist", and wrong "metallurgy" but good optics on the right target. So does the shooter see the miss? If yes, are they being honest with themselves? Do they fix the whole system to bulleyes' at 100, 500 or 1,000 yds or just move the target to pistol-whip distance and then PCS calling it a win (KC-46, F-35, MyTravel, MyFSS/Eval...etc, etc) Also - Anyone who truly, wholy understands the implications of these three words must brilliant - organize, train, equip. Those military leaders who properly understand and execute those three to fruition must've been epic.
