  1. I liked this series a lot as well, but I had to get it up in Kansas and bring it back to OK.
  2. Actually about the only thing you can see when someone is in the water is their noggin. (unless they are floating in a gumby suit) Hell, the USCG used to wear blue flightsuits until they standardized with everyone else. Make sure ya ditch your hat in this case! :) I saw a picture recently of one of the Army's modifications to the ACU. It was a half breed between the top and a underarmor shirt. Basically the 'underarmor' part was covered up by the body armor they wear, but the sleeves still looked like a regular ACU top. Kinda slick and makes sense.
  3. Go back to Canadia Alanis....
  4. If I had known what a wet dream was at the age of six, this would have been it:
  5. Just remember, labia flapping in the wind is too much though...tested that boundary.
  6. I have a damn hilarious gif of some naked chick skydiving...might be a bit much for this forum though. thoughts?
  7. Ok after looking through 138 posts on the subject of pets...my eyes are dizzy and I have no answer: I'm going overseas, and we are taking a commercial flight then the rotator. On the commercial flight it's supposedly going to cost $250 per pet. On the rotator it's $100 per pet. So for my wife's two cats we are looking at $700. Easy math. So is that cost covered in some PCS allowance, is it something I can claim and get reimbursed, or am I just going to be out $700 for two pussies that do me no good? I don't have any information in my gouge on this, other than the govt allowing me to bring two pets to my new base. And it's 4pm so no one on base answers their phone.
  8. CB 09-12 Graduation As mentioned before...sorry for that class.
  9. On the subject of redheads, always liked this rocker-chick redhead (even if dyed), Hayley Williams. ed. spelling
  10. Baby wipes are worth their weight in gold.... My group used our headlamps every night, there was always something going on well past dark. And they, like baby wipes, are worth their weight in gold when it comes to a 3am crap.
  11. All MC-12 drops are now with a follow on assignment. Mostly C-17s and KC-135s from what I've seen. That said, time will tell once these new MC-12 studs finish their 179. The guys who went through IQT before June still have no follow on and probably wont find out till they are done. I don't think they'll have a stateside home. My guess is that 90% of the folks in them are just doing a 179 and going someplace else after. Wouldn't be surprised if this program only lasts a few years or is turned over to the Army. (just my opinion)
  12. After I got 'fired' from MC-12s I had a ton of AFSOC stuff up front, Ospreys included. From what I understood, the various pipelines (NSA, U-28, ect) are fairly backed up. I'm surprised they aren't dropping MC-12s with AFSOC type jobs. Seems most of the guys that wanted one or the other, would have gladly flown either. I still think they should not have follow-on's for MC-12s, more studs might be interested. I've heard dudes say "I'd fly MC-12s if I wasn't shoehorned into KC-135s.." I digress. If two dudes want to swap assignments before they graduate, I don't see what the big deal is. We're just numbers at that point.
  13. Action starts around 2:20ish. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3_zueaQ4T8
  14. I have a Coast Guard video on the rescue of Capt Udell. Converting, will upload.
  15. That's awesome..that's what that is. no edit.
  16. The TIB were at Snowfest in 2004. After a long day on the slopes, I wasn't in the best state of mind and actually went to see what they were about. (I had no idea...I wish I did) I left before the first song started, went back to the room and became best friends with a bottle of Cuervo, passed out on the floor.
  17. Haven't other guys ejected over Mach 1 and survived? I recall reading something about a Hun driver doing that back in the 60s. I guess it all depends on a load of factors. (going 1.3 at 3000 AGL is rather outside the safe ejection envelope...)
  18. On the original subject of the Navy getting a few ST's, a family friend out in the Virginia Beach area said he saw some "T-6 look'n things with weapons" on the ramp recently. Dunno if it was at NAS Norfolk or Oceana. Will try and find out more...
  19. I don't blame you. Finished my Double Dead Guy earlier..not as hoppy as I expected overall it was good stuff. Currently sipping on some Extase XO Cognac & Orange for a night cap (raided the old man's wine room) Hate me some more... I'm going up to Ft. Collins tomorrow for a brewery tour: Anheuser-Busch (never been to a huge brewery, brewing lager on a large scale is quite impressive to me) Ft. Collins Brewery (they make a good chocolate stout, but it's summer) O'Dell Brewing (Levity Ale and Cutthroat Porter...mmmm) New Belguim Brewery (I want that damn bike of theirs) Then Rockbottom for dinner and more beer. ...and to think, I'll be living in Germany the next three years. Life is good.
  20. so much for my clever observation...
  21. Back home in Colorado Springs for leave, hit up my favorite beer/wine store, Coaltrain, and found their new isle of beer 'bombers'. Like a kid in a candy store!!! Never had anything from Ommegang, so I picked up their Abby Dubbel. 8.5% and deeeeeeeeeeelicous. Tomorrow I'm taking on Rouge's Double Dead Guy Ale.
  22. This video has more footage of the full landing sequence. Kinda surprised that they had the mind to only use the inboard TR as the outboards would have kicked up wicked amounts of dirt and grass. I'm sure they were light as shit though: Dimensions: 8002 x 150 ft. / 2439 x 46 m Surface: concrete/grooved, in fair condition Weight bearing capacity: Single wheel: 65.0 Double wheel: 85.0 Double tandem: 130.0 Quad Double Tandem? Just empty the damn thing weighs about 280K. Not sure what KOSH's weight restrictions are on an a/c with 22 wheels. :)
  23. lol must be a French carrier pilot.
