  1. Has the AF ever been the perp in any of these incidents? Seems like you always see the USMC on these headlines.
  2. Maybe he's making a derogatory reference to the pilot of American indian descent? I forgot about the mission critical status. Will try and get my GTC put in that. Danke.
  3. Don't hate the player, hate the game. I'm a few months into a year long TDY en-route and have not had a single accrual go through yet. Been a huge mess. I already had to pay a couple hundred out of pocket to reinstate my GTC in order to not pay for lodging out of pocket. I really look forward to 'not being responsible' for this: Everyone that I've dealt with has been doing their job. I have no complaints about the people. The system however, is broke. Everyone knows it. The AF knows it. But yet they hold you and I to the flames, declare us fiscally irresponsible, ect if our GTCs go overdue because WE haven't been paid for the vouchers we've put in on time. That's just f'd up to the 10th degree. /preaching to the choir
  4. Sacred Cow
  5. Being an olympic athlete, wing/cc's son, ect usually helps as well.
  6. They sure do. Just pointing out that they were disbanded in 1783 and not re-established until 1798. Navy had a similar gap at the same time and the Army had some quasi-militia thing going on as well. The USCG, started as the Revenue Cutter Service back in 1790, has the longest continuous service of our armed forces. /historicalquibbling
  7. 222. Mind the 15 year gap. /historicalballbustin'
  8. What if some sort of baseops fund was set up to donate to [insert worthy cause here] and infractions could be tallied, paid, ect then donated? Seems simple enough...someone figure it out. I'll pony up my $5
  9. The ability to win frivilous lawsuits has pretty much eliminated personal accountability for being an idiot. The new American way.
  10. The best conversation in human history....(NSFW?) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVBYwntkiFA
  11. Glad I'm not one of the people counting that stuff. Remember the videos from the Florida 'chad' counters. FTS Fvck That Shit, FTS, not sure if that's an acronym yet.
  12. A quick search can find you the aftermath video as well.
  13. Barber's slim lead grows to 500+, her camp files for a restraining order to keep certain ballots from being counted.
  14. Thought you'd know better!
  15. Maybe this will keep them from stealing iPads and blaming their wives....
  16. Always the dig at the MC-12 roll. Hacker, apparently you cannot say the MC-12 has 'capes'. OPSEC and all. Shit I just said 'capes'. There, did it again. Crap.
  17. Not the least bit. ^this
  18. I may be wrong, buy I still get the impression that the whole "AF wants to transfer MC-12s to the ANG" stems from the response of Texas politicians when faced with losing their TXANG herks. "we'll take the MC-12s AND the C-130Js from Ramstein". Then everyone [insert ANG units about to lose airframes] jumped on that bandwagon. Being pretty far down the chain of 'need to know' it seems that all the talk I see out there is from politicians. Politicians wanted to give all the MC-12s to the Army. Politicians want MC-12s for their states that have no flying mission anymore. Ect ect.
  19. That's my point. Against those kinda numbers and they still got that thing to your front step each year I was there. Silly BQs.
  20. I think it is Born over-reacting, while Lengyel has a better perspective on it. You know he's an Aggie right? I've heard he's a good dude, Old Army kinda guy. Speaking of great traditions....Flight of the Pumkin! Such a good time to watch all you silly BQs struggle to deal with one outfit. I don't remember any pizza parties at OTS back in 06/07. I do remember all three squadrons incessently pranking one another. I also remember killing years of 'tradition' when they made us chip a metric ton of paint off the Hoya rock. As far as gay dancing in the Big Red Bed, I certainly didn't witness that kinda shit while standing in the back of the room so I wouldn't get caught sleeping a second time.
  21. Old man flew helos (HH-52/HH-3/HH-65/HH-60J) and herks (old AF hand-me-downs) for 20+ years. My kid brother and I didn't know any better....both of us went AF. He's a 'fighting falcon pilot' and I'm starting my third aircraft in 3 years. Guess I can't make up my mind. Powered lift time. Two of my cousins also serve(d): one was an ANG life support guy for a bit, the other is currently an EOD tech with a bunch of deployments. edit for cousins
  22. Wow. Kinda damming on the Gulfstream team. Also noticed there was no section on crash survivability. Most NTSB reports I've read have one.
  23. That'll be rather useful for those enemy bunkers made out of plywood. (I didn't have sound, so maybe they said something about the test site?)
