  1. when the tanker remembers to ask, we will provide them our tails (HC/MC/KC-130). Not sure what form they document the HAAR on, but our FE just writes it in on the refueling log on the back of the 781H (or whichever 781 it is where MX signs the ER). With HAAR, there doesn't seem to be a way to really have a precise quantity. I've had the tanker set their system to cut off after 500 lbs, and it doesn't, or it does, when we show an onload of less than 500 lbs. So we typically write what we saw for onload, and that's about it. I'm sure many times the offload number noted by the tanker doesn't exactly match... I once HAAR'd where all the fuel was venting straight out of the pod into the atmosphere next to our aircraft instead of flowing through the hose to our probe. Their offload definitely didn't match our onload on that one.

    Shoe Clerk Vol 3

here's one for you...our group shirt just kicked back an EPR because the rater marked "clearly exceeds standards" on the military bearing section, because he (the shirt) saw two previous PT failures in this guy's fitness history. Oh BTW, this guy achieved an Excellent on his most recent PT test (in the rating period) after working his ass off. Fuck you shirt, it's not for you to decide, it's for his rater.
  3. you can stay wherever you want without a non-A, and you'll get the on-base rate x 30 each month (30 replaced by actual number of days in the month you are there).
  4. So, who here knows what precipitated the FCIF from ACC regarding lack of flight dicipline?
  5. I posted this in another thread, but it's definitely more appropriate here...
  6. Does saving 30% at REI prevent dehydration?
  7. I think when I last had to renew there, I told them it was illegal to copy the ID, and they renewed my account anyway without it.
  8. welcome to the 6th post of the thread, on the first page...
  9. SOS is NOT IDE.
  10. umm, it's been against the regs since I've been deploying (05) to have sleeves rolled up in the AOR.
  11. it's a probe, people! Also, referencing the first three birds off the line:
  12. if you get hired by a unit and attend AMS, you are only required to complete your degree within 7 years of commissioning. You don't have to start with a degree if you go this route.

    Baseops Chat

ok, so this morning I was in the chat room for about 20 min, and at least 5 other people joined the chat room over the course of that time. So I said howdy to each of them, asked a question, and got no responses from any of them, then they all left chat a few minutes later. My question is, were those people not seeing the posts at all, or were they being anti-social? I use FF, and had a nice chat with several peeps last night, so I'm just trying to figure out if some browsers are having issues with the chat feature.
  16. you suck.
  17. as long as AFPC keeps producing a product that breaks down percentage promoted with/without degree, with/without PME in res, etc, then of course those two items will continue to be the discriminators.
  18. No, the only requirement is to be an instructor to actually TEACH IRC. There were a handful of non-instructors in my class in June (including me), and one Nav. However, all of us were ID'd for IP and most would be attending IPUG within a few months of finishing AIS. Also, shack to what JS added above. Big fan of that Embassy Suites and the Manager's Social each night...
  19. were these taken before or after the tornados wreaked havok and the birds had to be sent back to Sikorsky to be repaired? Either way, looking great, and it appears that the TFU is at least a couple more inches from terra firma now...
  20. when you're an F-22 trying to cross the international date line?
  21. (besides zoomies) And for that one E-9 who does know the Third Verse, does he know that it is sung to a different tune?
  22. I helped host their event at Moody in 05 I think it was, and I'm on the e-mail list. Too bad I'll be in the midst of formal training when this year's event occurs with the Navy.
  23. this trick works for PEX, so it may work for GDSS: Hold down CTRL while you are clicking the link with the popup. Once the popup has popped up, then release CTRL.
  24. Dan Zerbe was the other PJ onboard. Dan was a great dude, I was stationed with him at Moody. A Toast... https://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf/2011/08/york_county_soldier_among_thos.html
