  1. Interesting, give the T-6 bros a little slack though, it's a fairly crazy syllabus rewrite for them. It'll be interesting to see how this affects the toner/38 bros once the new guys start "tracking" their way. Any word on how they are going to divvy up T-1/T-38 slots? I had been part of some discussions of it before I left but never heard the final. The big hang up was if you have a stellar stud but no 38 slots (or T-1 if thats what the kid wants).
  2. "...without causing an unacceptable delay..." So this program has been ongoing for years and COIN ops have been going on far longer and the AF is just now getting around to this...if this is an "unacceptable delay" what constitutes an acceptable delay?
  3. There are spots open at UPT? I'll believe that when everyone isn't behind.
  4. Why are we still FAIPing people to Laughlin? Can't they FAIP their own kids?
  5. Well we can't provide mass if we can't get a 40 year old airplane in the air.
  6. Damn. Just damn.
  7. $20 says nothing comes of this (and I hope I'm wrong).
  8. Yup, only 1-2 fighters for the T-1 bros...
  9. As much as I would love to see that, I doubt it, the AF will use it to pump more money to the F-35
  10. What's old is new and what's new is old. Read old pages on this thread for explanations
  11. Check my username, very aware of such. It was asked sarcastically/in a vain attempt to interject some humor. In my case, beggars can't really be choosers, I'll take what I can get.
  12. Does that include the beer and the women?
  13. Copy, didn't read everything. I asked my local safety shop and they said they haven't seen anything, but I'll query again tomorrow.
  14. There has been a rumor that they'll be on the next drop since I was in UPT back in 2013, so your guess is as good as anyones.
  15. Any word on the safety report?
  16. The lack of knowledge that they exist is a pretty big issue, that coupled with no leadership to use them. Last I remember there were a pair of civilians who maintained them but no one knew how to fly them or what the 11-248 was. It would go a long, long way towards helping cadets/the AF if there was a pilot there who ran the program and/or led classes on basics of airmanship or gave the cadets some basic things to practice. Basically they just need someone to focus and teach the cadets, the rest will work itself out.
  17. Think people just stopped posting stuff, and/or the AF scared the hell outta the younger generation with their "don't cheat" policies and such.
  18. Don't mock too much, the AF eliminated that requirement for T-6 students
  19. He should join the AF, he'd make GO in a heartbeat.
  20. AF answer- let's spend as much money as we can on a pointless cup that probably won't work but will involve 69 congressional districts Common sense answer- tell your people to put their drinks in a bottle with a cap.
  21. That'll last just long enough for a student to spill beer all over it/lose it, then they'll stop.
  22. Much like the BUFF was supposed to be gone by what 1970? 1980? 1990? 2000? 2010? I'll believe it's gone when it's at the boneyard.
  23. Mission first, people when it means I'll look good in front of my boss.
  24. The fact that the Wg/CC actually hunted the Airmen down shows me where his priorities are. While I'm glad he didn't punish him, it's still bs, park somewhere else, you have two legs that work just fine.
  25. Glad one Sq/CC finally made the decision without asking for mommy's (upper management) for approval.
