  1. Tears up over minor inconveniences?
  2. Feature, not a bug.
  3. We couldn't even build high speed rail from LA to San Francisco. What makes you think we'll be able to do it across state lines?
  4. If you're a patch hand- selected for a PhD program, how much extra help do you need?
  5. I always expected the masters degrees would come back...what I'm really curious about is the "rewarding specific degrees" portion. Do AU's "Leadership" and "National Security" degrees count as "technical" for the purposes of promotion?
  6. Ah, I love you too.
  7. ~$210 for O-5 at Wright Patt
  8. Good news there... this was a retirement photo. Pretty sure that O-3 exec is still in, though.
  9. Seatbelts are mandated. People wearing seatbelts have still died in car accidents. He said he wasn't a fan of any mandates. We can argue the merits of wearing a mask in a hospital if you want, but his statement that he hated all mandates seems a bit silly for someone in a profession built on safety rules like aviation.
  10. And I wish you'd never joined this forum, but here we are. Have fun driving drunk with no seatbelt.
  11. Front page of the Air Force subreddit.
  12. O-6 taking pictures of his junk in uniform, having sex with an O-3 in his chain, and publishing all of it on Twitter? Let me ask you... would you have a problem if an airman in your squadron wore various parts of their uniform while making OnlyFans content? Would you have a problem with an airman in your squadron wearing a mask in uniform at work?
  13. What the hell is going on in the Army? https://twitter.com/NoVA_Campaigns/status/1601302770761760768?t=MF9Zyun_bn3AQTOjCr9GDA&s=09
  14. That second part was my point. We accept a whole lot of mandates. But somehow wearing a mask in a hospital is where it becomes tyranny.
  15. After seeing big Air Force drag their feet on using the full authorized amount for bonuses, I'm not optimistic about seeing $1500/ month flight pay. Especially when we have B-21s to pay for.
  16. Are there a lot of O2 tanks in the waiting room? Even then... shouldn't everyone be free to make their own risk decision? "That guy is smoking next to an O2 tank, maybe I should leave". Of course the point is we accept some mandates... it's part of living in a society. I don't know why some people have decided wearing a mask in a hospital is the last straw towards a totalitarian society.
  17. And if it had been a border control act, you'd be in here bitching about the money that's going to China. Take the win, man.
  18. Would you push back against other mandates? Like... is it a terrible blow to your freedom that you can't smoke in the hospital waiting room?
  19. They have a whole series of these. https://youtu.be/C4QFmBlpnNw
  20. I get he's vice chairman of the joint chiefs, but seems like CSAF would have been a better fit regardless of his place in the JCS pecking order.
  21. It wasn't even about their ability. They got paid whether they played or not; got health insurance through US Soccer, had guaranteed salaries and time off. The men had none of those and negotiated for a bigger percentage of earnings in return for having to pay more games, not having salary guarantees, and not having insurance. In fact, the women were offered the men's contract and rejected it.
  22. As to question two... about 63%. https://www.ussc.gov/sites/default/files/pdf/research-and-publications/research-publications/2019/20190124_Recidivism_Violence.pdf
  23. We're probably going to get less help from France this time around...
  24. Not a huge fan of Kinzinger, but I'm not sure the Afghanistan pullout is the flex Mike thinks it is.
  25. For your Christmas decorating needs.
