  1. But the fossil record DOES support evolution... https://www.britannica.com/science/evolution-scientific-theory/The-fossil-record
  2. But the fossil record DOES support evolution. So does DNA analysis. https://www.britannica.com/science/evolution-scientific-theory/The-fossil-record
  3. Your strawman path? Sure. Plenty of evidence for moths changing colors, wolves becoming dogs, fish adapting to fresh or salt water, bacteria and viruses adapting to new hosts...
  4. Even if you don't believe in the Big Bang...that's a separate issue from evolution, which has very robust evidence and a ton of real-world examples.
  5. And yet the NEA just voted for $127k to publicize CRT and $56k for opposition research into people against CRT.
  6. It'll be around until everyone typing away on this message board is dead.
  7. Can YOU describe what CRT is?
  8. I'd certainly argue that the 1619 Project is a form of CRT. As for defining it: CRT is, at its core, the idea that race is the overriding factor in all of American society. That race dictates where people live, the incomes that people have, the opportunities they can take advantage of, the laws that are passed and enforced. It's the idea that race is the single most important factor in a person's life. The Biden Administration has proposed giving more funding to schools that teach the 1619 project and Ibram X Kendi's work. https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2021/04/19/2021-08068/proposed-priorities-american-history-and-civics-education
  9. Just keep a bare bones HUMINT structure on the ground, bomb a training camp into mist every 6-9 months.
  10. I don't think pro pay is an unsolvable problem. I mean, how do we figure it out for doctors? Private practice? Biggest hospitals? Survey of all doctor salaries? I don't know what the magic formula is, but the bean-counters at the Air Force figured out some kind of formula.
  11. Is that why fighters have the best manning? Oh, wait...
  12. So I'll ask again...if you mistrust every official source of information...what data are you using to make your decisions "for the good of myself and my own family?"
  13. Wow...five quotes in a row. But no, I'm not Chang. I am going to tap put of this conversation, because if I don't, I think I'll say things that will get my posting privileges revoked. Good luck fighting the vaccines when they're made mandatory. I wonder if y'all will fight your airline employers with the same fervor when you find out they're making all the passengers wear masks.
  14. You're right...much more credibility from random strangers on the internet than the people who literally study epidemics professionally.
  15. Hard to have a fact based discussion when you distrust everyone who collects the data.
  16. Based on no data, because by my count, you've discounted every source of data. You don't trust the federal government (while employed by the federal government...interesting irony there). You don't trust the CDC. You don't trust the NIH. You don't trust the FDA. You don't trust the vaccine manufacturers. You don't trust the data from state and local governments. You don't trust the WHO. I'm just curious what actual information you do trust to make these decisions. I'm also curious if you'd have the same disdain for medical professionals if you were being treated for something other than Covid. Would you go on Google and second-guess every decision your oncologist made? Maybe you'd argue with the x-ray technician about your kid's broken arm?
  17. Oh goody, another pilot who know more about immunology than immunologists and doctors. Would you extend the same level of credence to a doctor who read about aviation on the internet? Would you believe a guy who flew jets for 20 years, or a guy who googled an article about lift and drag? Dunning Kruger on full display in this thread.
  18. I know you don't understand immune systems because you think a vaccine for one disease impacts your ability to fight other diseases. Did you spend a week in an isolated bubble after getting the smallpox, anthrax, or flu vaccine? No? Weren't you worried about your immune systems in those cases? Here you go. Read to your heart's content. https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/hcp/conversations/understanding-vacc-work.html
  19. Based on just your gut feelings?
  20. So 100% faith in 5000 deaths from vaccines, but no faith in 600K deaths from Covid? From the same agency? What WOULD you accept as valid estimates for Covid fatalities?
  21. Again...useless without total number of vaccines distributed in the same timeframe. Also, 5000 deaths in 171 million vaccinations is still way better than 600k deaths in 32 million Covid cases.
  22. 1. Not nearly as many 2. It's not like we stopped all other vaccination efforts.
  23. Means nothing without the denominator. 2000 vs 5000 deaths sounds scare...how many more vaccines were given in that time frame?
  24. Well, joke's on you, 'cause I got picked up APZ. Never thought it would be so controversial to suggest we follow the guidance from the SECDEF, but here we are.
  25. Lot of military folks who were political scientists last October have suddenly become epidemiologists with the vaccine roll out.
