  1. From what I’ve heard it’s not anything that will affect end state timelines. It’s delays trying to get it IFR certified.
  2. I mean they’re both at fault, and people who want to blame one or the other are looking at it with a partisan lens.
  3. Not a finance guy but I used AirBnB for TLE when I PCSd last summer and finance accepted it no problem. I didn’t even have an itemized receipt, the finance rep just filled out a lost receipt form for me.
  4. That’s a fair question. One that I don’t have the answer to, and I bet no one does because it’s not an easy solution. What I do know is that the absolute worst way to end it would be to leave with little to no warning, thought, or preparation and to leave our former allies to fend for themselves while they get slaughtered by Turkey and opening the door for high value ISIS prisoners to escape. And well that’s about exactly what happened.
  5. I’d say the SDF have done a pretty damn good job of fighting their own battles the past few years. To the tune of thousands killed fighting ISIS. Oh btw, now that US forces have pulled back and SDF have to focus on repelling the Turks, a bunch of ISIS prisoners are now free. Yay
  6. Ok? I’m not sure what being 15 has to do with this. The thread is about women being drafted into the military. And I provided an example of women in the military. But I’ll let you know how I feel when my non-existent daughter turns 15 and doesn’t get drafted or join the military...because she’s 15.
  7. Maybe it’s not representative of society at large but I’ve had co-ed bathrooms and showers on multiple deployments and it’s been a complete non-issue.
  8. Gone a lot, but usually to pretty cushy places.
  9. Are they actually taking it though? Has there been any guidance to say the flight suit is being phased out?
  10. Agreed, if the PF is task saturated it’s definitely helpful to delegate radios to the PNF (or other tasks for that matter) but 99% of the time it seems to make more sense to keep the radios with the PF.
  11. Valid but "today's war" has been going on for 15 years now and will continue for the foreseeable future so I would be willing to bet we would get lots of good use out of the Scorpion in today's war.
  12. There is nothing about the T-38 track that prepares you to drop bombs so why does it matter?
  13. Haven't heard of any straight to guard out of UPT guys going through UPT yet but generally non-fighter/bomber guard guys go T-1s with some exceptions.
  14. You sound like a woman who just realized the guy she's been sleeping with doesn't want a relationship.
  15. What a surprise, convenience on the part of AFPC trumps actual unit, mission, and personnel welfare.
  16. Pretty sure it doesn't work the way you think it works...
  17. I'm pretty sure a couple years ago they (unexpectedly) threw a bunch of CV-22 assignments to FAIPs
  18. Valid...but nowadays if you SIE from UPT, especially after dropping an RPA, there is a 0% chance you would be retained in the Air Force.
  19. He's an American hero...in more ways than just destroying drones.
  20. Do you know if the Viper was on an IFR or VFR clearance at the time?
  21. In UPT it happened probably close to 10 times when RAPCON had us hold above a certain altitude in our MOA for a civil aircraft to transit through. I get that it's perfectly legal but it's frustrating (and dangerous) nonetheless. That's not to mention the multiple instances of GA aircraft blasting through without a warning and a close midair.
  22. There's already a Ski-130 so why not a Sea-130?
  23. Because something something fraternization, something investigations, something something unprofessional. That probably about covers the leadership's explanation for no videos.
  24. I believe at one point he even laid on top of some of the injured to protect them. Truly lived out the PJ's motto.
  25. That's not necessarily true for some platforms, they can have a pretty damn small footprint compared to unmanned.
