  1. Friend of mine had the same problem. No one would call him. Then got offers from 2 airlines on the same day. Nothing is impossible unless you want it to be.
  2. Correct, they do ask for that, and the key words you included were “want” and “desire”, not “must” and “will”. Anyone doing hiring will tell you if you don’t have something that is desired, you better make up for it somewhere else. My point is you do not have only one chance to get a flying job. I would not pass up a great opportunity in a non-flying job, to take a shitty flying job, just to have regency of experience. Most of the senior pilots at the Boeing Company started out in non-flying jobs. So, if you have not flown in 5 years, your resume should probably include over 5,000 hours (yes, 3K for fighter pilots, they get hired to), other aviation experience, test pilot/weapons/or safety school and a few real degrees never hurt. Oh, and try not to get arrested for fighting with a cop about your 4th amendment rights.
  3. I do not know why people think this. I guess it is because they knew a guy that talked to someone whose brother did not get hired because he had not flown in a while. There are people that just got hired at Boeing that had not flown in 5 years. FAA, hasn't flown in 7 years. Alaska, 2 years. I depends on your flying background, why you were not flying, and your personality.
  4. Why would he use a spoon? Why not a knife or something?
  5. For a while now. From the guys I know it has been about 50/50 for take bonus or GTFO.
  6. Yes, Rocket Surgeon, a difficult profession similar to Brain Science. You need to watch more TV.
  7. Or he is a foreigner trying to steal secrets: Sorry guys, the poor english quote here is Baseops standard!
  8. Honestly, what would the Governor of Oklahoma need F-16s for in a "time of crisis"? Don't start with "Red Dawn".
  9. I said I was not running. One of the 6 that are not. If I were President the Secret Service would not have to pay for hookers, they would be included with the room.
  10. Holly shit. I am actually in that picture! Not running though. That was at Paine Field in Everett.
  11. Yea, they were interfering with the airflow at the inlets in high crosswind situations causing compressor stalls. So they had to be removed to prevent unconatined engine failures
  12. Wow the news is killing me. "He was smoking really bad. Bad smoke was coming out of the engine. It kind of backfired a couple times. I heard two pops … then 15 seconds later I heard the explosion." Had to have been the engines, no way that was the 2 guys ejecting.... using the "ejection button" Timmy referred to. "Jet had rear flames before crash"... Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't that how jet engines work? What is supposed to come out the back, water? beer?
  13. Ask anyone who has ever done a safety investigation. 100% of you civilian witnesses will say they heard something going wrong with the engines.
  14. Last time I saw that was in the PACF SUP to the MDS Vol 3s. Not in the AMC regs. Not sure about USAFE.
  15. Looks like they skipped the portion of her story where she said she was giving him a BJ then stabed him with her dick. AF Times can't get anything right.
  16. Sometimes they do. It depends on what time of the month it is and what BS AMC/18 AF/TACC is peddling at the time. This shit has been going on for 10 years. Problem was some guys were using "safety of flight" calls as a form of legal mutiny. If they got sent to the Deid to many times they would make the call then be miraculously rested when they heard they were going to the ETAR/EDDF Stage. It was easy to spot those guys. However, because of a few shinanigans they started this crap of having to write a book to prove why you were tired (while being tired). Bottom line. If you feel the need to call safety of flight do it. Be prepared to back it up. That will not be difficult if it is legit.
  17. Wow, bad timing... April fools is not for another 13 days.
  18. Not the C-17. We get to go off-roading now and again. BTW: The Army now refers to any ditch as a C-17 arresting device.
  19. Good catch! I meant a dude with 2 gay pet gerbils.
  20. What if it is 2 gay dudes?
  21. Boeing. Fuck yea!
  22. He means before the "Shoe war". Yes they are pictures of Bagram at the begining of OEF, but that was a shooting war and shoes don't know anything about that. Back when the Taxiways were a little small. There is another well publisized pic out there that the AMC A3 saw and wanted to know who approved a C-17 to be on a 40ft wide taxiway so he could chew their ass. He calmed down when they told him "Sir, it was you, that's Bagram".
  23. WTF guys? I heard Obama wants to put microscopic serial numbers on firing pins and RFID tags on ammo... fuck! Gay people are getting married and serving in the military, and all you are worried about is a $25 Tricare fee? Shit! Almost forgot, I heard Obama was going to make Officers take an oath to him instead of the constitution... just like Hitler did. Also, the whole controversy over the USMC Scout Sniper getting in trouble for the SS flag… turns out Obama is creating an SS (Schutzstaffel) and they sued the Scout Snipers for copy right infringement. We are fucked!
  24. Fuck, I really have no idea what is going on here. But if I had to guess, I would say he meant he would or would not "vote for them with Rainman's cock" can't tell which. However, I don't know anyone that votes with their cock.. much less someone elses.... I for one think with it, but never vote with it.... unless Pailn runs again.
  25. Actually, if my memory serves, that is a dude, not a Nav
