It's the price, isn't it?
-
Really, you assume not? Some people are just dense... ... for these people I offer a very special service... Come one, come all to Butter's sarcasm detector repair shop! For a low low monthly payment of $500.01, over the course of 10 years, I will personally repair and maintain your sarcasm detector! But wait, there's more! Call now and I'll double your offer. For the same price, not only will I repair and maintain your sarcasm detector, but the sarcasm detector of one of your friends (you do have friends, right?) for free! Disclaimer: I am not responsible for your sarcasm detector, and will only repair it when I feels like it, which is probably never. This is a test: No one would ever use a movie as a source for describing how something works or is done in real life. Well, unless that movie is Iron Eagle. This shit was spot on!

Can't really believe this, but AIB is never going to be out. AMC/CC is not convening one. Apparently, he does not want the video to be seen by anyone. The SIB brief does not include it. Seems they are going to recreate the vid with actors to use for CRM training.

Not a lot going on at work today... bla bla bla... Well, she is in the GAL now, but under a different name. Jill M. Mayo.. Looks like she is still married and took her husband's name. Still a Maj and neither of her names is on the Lt Col list. So we have that going for us.

No he did not know what you said... You said “So now privileged information includes discussion if a SIB is on AFSAS yet?” Maybe you should have said: “So now privileged information includes discussion about whether or not an SIB is on AFSAS yet?” Sounds better that way Here's a rundown on privileged information since you don't understand. Not true.. speculation is not privileged. If I say “Hey, did you hear about the C-17 that flamed out? I think it was cause of [sic] al-Qaeda.” How did I violate privilege? I didn’t, I speculated on the cause. Even if I say “the C-17 flamed out because it’s 4 Pratt & Whitney F117-PW-100 engines ingested more water than they could handle.” I would be stating a fact, not any privileged information. Violating privilege would be if I told you how the aircraft came to be in a situation to ingest that much water. Probably al-Qaeda though, or the Democrats. No I don’t believe you, or your Chief of Safety. You might as well have posted that you read it on Wikipedia. The COS is a guy they threw in that position to await a SQ/CC position. He may or may not be safety trained. If you had said your Chief of Flight Safety said it I still would not believe you, because it is wrong, and a safety trained guy would never say that.

Remember there is a limit to what you can contribute to the TSP annually. Most say to max out your contributions to TSP, so if you do that already the bonus will not matter, if you do not max out monthly you can catch up by adding you bonus to it.

Thread revival: Anyone coming up on 15 years or past that and took the 30K CSB? To me it looks like if you make it to 26 years you have got made. Any math guys out there know what you lose it you retire at 20 years and only get 40%?

Yes, the bonus is in there. Subtitle B Bonuses and Special and Incentive Pays. The bill would reauthorize over 30 types of bonuses and special pays aimed at encouraging enlistment, reenlistment, and continued service by active-duty and reserve component military personnel. Found it in the text earlier and the only change is 2011 from 2010. So, you get the bonus and $5.47 billion for missile procurement, which is $7.7 million above the requested amount;

Why? If you can't tell what was said during the crew brief after reading all 34 pages of the AIB you really don't need to know.

Yes Watch 20100719162905.mpg From: mfreyhol | July 21, 2010 | 2,046 views Now google other C-17 demo profiles and compare.

Dear Air Force Times, YOU SUCK! Seems these dickheads used their super detective skills to determine who was sitting where from the flying histories listed in the AIB. Then a few short poorly written paragraphs later they state that HOLY SHIT, 9,000 ft/sec that is just about 6,136.3636364 mi/h. Awesome journalism.

Full AIB is available now. AIB

There is no link the 4 engine flameout video. SIB is still in progress.

It don't make no difference, you know what I mean. Miami grads don't read too good nohow.

2 If you want to make O-5 and fly your entire career it can be done. I just made O-5 and have spent only 12 months out of the cockpit. If you do your PME early and get the masters done, I have found the "leadership" will pretty much let you do whatever you want. Beging good looking and an FSU grad doesn't hurt either.. Also, we have a O-5 with a little over 25 being forced to retire... he wanted to stay in and they said no because he did not do AWC.

A newt? I heard it makes you float. What else floats??? Rocks!

I heard if you drink 3 in one night you turn gay! Really??? chemicals?? cocaine? Looks like you need to take a break from the internet for a few days.

Actually, driving to work is much more dangerous than flying. You would be hard pressed to find a group of fliers that die at a greater rate in the aircraft than in cars. Well, I take that back. Now that I look at a most of the fatal PMV accidents in the AF involve non-fliers. So maybe flying is more dangerous.

I wish there was some kind of hotline you could can and report guys like this. Then 20 minutes later he is thrown out of the safety office. Does he have the brief? If he does, get your SQ/CC to lean on him. Mishap prevention is his job, and this brief give a lot of insight into how mishaps can develop over time and you won't notice until bites you in the ass. I am surprised the AIB is taking so long. Side note: SIB on C-17 4-eng falme out is due out soon. If you want to know more about this one, start new thread.

1060 West Adison? That's Wrigley Field.

Shoe: "Hats gentlemen?" Crew: "No Thanks, we already have hats in our pockets."

I have seen this go back and forth in the safety world. Every pilot needs to see this, I don't care what you fly or flew. The HD video and CVR/FDR are not privilege. So, when the AIB finishes they will be release publicly. No one should have any trouble getting the final safety message, if you are your safety guys need to be reminded what their job is. The safety office is not a vault.

Accident/Safety Investigation Board (AIB/SIB)
Butters replied to Ryder1587's topic in General Discussion
Happens to all of us. I was just asking for clarification. I am TDY and the nearest AF base is over 6,000 miles away. Oh, and yes, you want nothing to do with an AIB. Lawyers crawling up your ass the entire time. It sucks. -
