  1. I think this belongs in the WTF? thread!
  2. AFPC just sent out a correction. The 550 is metric and AFPC still uses standard. The actual number after conversion is 341.755005157394. I rounded off the last digit.
  3. I just want to know who is playing the fucking piano.
  4. Thanks! I shut down an engine once in the tweet but did not get a form 8 for it. So, it looks like I have to take the CFI check. Thanks for the info on the ground school portion. I actually have mine, it is just burried in the vault behind my stockpiles of Ammo and Porn.
  5. Do you have to be current and qualified to take the MCI?
  6. Sorry to dissapoint but is was harm_138, and ChiefSlapahoe saved it!
  7. Yes, my knowledge of totem poles is only Wikipieda deep. Cut and past is easier than typing all that shit out. Oh, and I love the Guard. Why shouldn't each state have it's own independent CAF? We will need it when they come for our guns.
  8. Nope, Adoption Tax credit. Did some research and the only ROTH I can contribute to is ROTH TSP. I am not even sure I can back door a Roth IRA. The problem is my wife makes too much money and the Goverment hates that. Over ~188K married joint can't contribute to Roth IRA. Over 155K or so, you can't deduct your contribtuions to a traditional IRA if you or your spose is covered by a retirement plan... So, can I contribut 10.1K to a traditional IRA and pay taxes on it since I am over the deduction limit and then still back door it? Very complicated, which is why she has here pension/401K/crazy benefits at her company and I have TSP/Roth TSP... now that I know there are no income limits for ROTH TSP . Rest goes in the Booze and Hookers fund that gets taxed like a bitch.
  9. FYI The vertical order of images is widely believed to be a significant representation of importance. This idea is so pervasive that it has entered into common parlance with the phrase "low man on the totem pole". This phrase is indicative of the most common belief of ordering importance, that the higher figures on the pole are more important or prestigious. A counterargument frequently heard is that figures are arranged in a "reverse hierarchy" style, with the most important representations being on the bottom, and the least important being on top. There have never been any restrictions on vertical order; many poles have significant figures on the top, others on the bottom, and some in the middle. Other poles have no vertical arrangement at all, consisting of a lone figure atop an undecorated column. Sometimes a very exclusive or prestigious family crest is placed on the bottom. There it supports the remainder of the crests above. Placing a figure on the bottom increases its prominence as a feature of the pole, as trees are thicker towards the base, increasing the bottom figure's size. Placement on the bottom also brings that figure closer to the people, increasing their interaction with that crest. Haida doorways are often seen embedded in the bottoms of house-frontal poles. These were kept deliberately small. To enter, guests and members of the house would need to bow in respect to the supporting crest of the pole. Conversely, the tops of Haida poles often feature a family's moiety-crest. Haidas come from one of two moieties and identify primarily as the descendants of an eagle or a raven-associated family. This 'primary' crest could be said to be more important as the first level of family identity and societal structure, or less important as one of the most common and least exclusive crests. Given the complexity and meaning of symbolism in Haida totem poles, which figure is most important could be considered arbitrary. The importance of each crest is in the observer's informedness and connection to the meanings of each figure. Asserting that one figure, story, or history is more important than another because of its placement on a pole may reflect the observer's own cultural perceptions of hierarchy than the actual significance of the figures.
  10. M2? Charges unlikely for Houston dad accused of shooting daughter’s boyfriend, prosecutor says
  11. So who is better? MAF pilots or CAF pilots?
  12. Judge rejects financial support requests by New Jersey teen suing parents Some justice! Someone should send her Larry Flynt's number.
  13. Call the Joint Base Education Center
  14. I call bullshit. If someone had done that he would have had it DNA tested to find out who did it.
  15. This... because this is the way we put the Taliban in power and it worked until Al Qaeda showed up.
  16. And there is the problem. Afghans have no national identity. Family/Tribe is at the top, country is somewhere around 4 or 5 on the list.
  17. Thanks for the link. Also found in there that there are no income limits for ROTH TSP Contribultions... That would have been nice to know, YESTERDAY! Well, you know the Goverment will always find a way screw you with taxes, one way or another. It is up to the individual how much time and effort you want to put into avoiding it.
  18. Wow, I always thought the limit was the limit. So, as I understand it, you can covert your TSP to ROTH TSP right? If so, I am in luck this year. Long story short I am deployed most of the year and I am going to be getting close to a 24k non-refundable tax credit this year. So, I need some good tax liability to get the full 24K. Guess now I need to figure out just how much tax I would owe on my non-deferred TSP contributions. Why isn't this shit just easy?
  19. Is there's limit to the number of times you can back door this thing? If the answer is no, then why do we have Roth IRA contribution limits in the first place?
  20. They are talking about your line number at the bankrupt airline that is going to pay you 30 cents on the dollar for the retirement you earned over X number of years.
  21. Well, on 17 Jan someone was approved. I know a passed over Nav that was approved, so they are not denying them all. I think they want to see how may they can separate that do not have ADSCs before they approve guys with one.
  22. Me too. It is fuck this shit o'clock for me!
  23. Honestly, I do not know if you are off target. If you take his quote literaly he says "For intermediate service school, or senior service school, don't take it by correspondence. In fact we're going to keep you from taking it by correspondence." That is why I think the article took that out of context. Doubt they could get rid of it completely. I think he was only talking about guys that were slated to go.
  24. So, then the part he left out was... what happens to the ones that do not complete it? Everyone can't go to a year long course. Maybe this is a new force shapping tool? Who knows.
