  1. Which PSDM tells me if I'm eligible to "apply" for that? ... But seriously, I missed the cutoff by less than 30 days. Anyone know if there will be an FY15 VSP part deaux? -BUSTED
  2. Anyone know of any valid reasons why the FY15 VSP doesn't include 2009 dudes? Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!
  3. Can anyone clarify whether there are minimum requirements other than total hours (Night? Instrument?) for the restricted ATP? From reading the reg, it looks like 750 hours is the only requirement for military pilots.

Assuming both strats were given to 1Lt's, which would be a better OPR strat from a secondary rater (Squadron CC, in this case): #1/6 Lts #2/15 CGOs I recently received an OPR with the #2/15 strat, while another Lt received the #1/6 strat, literally less than a month later. I have always been under the impression (mainly from lurking here at BODN) that a #1 strat was better, no matter what the "/XX" was, but my primary rater said that the #2 was better, because it was out of a larger pool. I realize trying to split hairs between the two may be trivial. It's not my intent to quibble about OPR strats... I'm simply trying to figure out the super-secret code used in OPR-writing. Does it even make sense to give those ratings to two different Lts? If one guy is the "#1 Lt," and another Lt is the "#2 CGO," wouldn't logic tell you the first guy is the #1 CGO?

"Have no clue how that happens." Here are a few clues: Step one: dudes are good at their j-o-b. Their primary job. Not building building habitat for humanity houses, not planning community "fun runs." Executing their primary mission. Step two: their commanders/raters are good at their j-o-b. Their primary job. Managing and leading their people. Not looking at spreadsheets with AAD stats. Oh, snap. I forgot where I worked. I meant to say... ... In residence SOS without even putting in enough effort to get a BAC+?! What an outrage!

I had heard that they did this for the last few years due to a shortage of AC's in both the BUFF and Bone. How's the AC picture looking now? Is this whole sequestration thing going to mean that they are still short on AC's because there aren't enough young guys already in the airframe who are ready for the upgrade (therefore making it more likely that they'll continue to send FAIPs straight to AC), or is the sequestration going to clog the pipeline, causing there to be a lot of guys who are waiting on the upgrade that they should have gotten sometime this year (which would potentially max out the AC pipeline for the next year or so.)
