Apparently there is a possibility he can still resume his seat in the 119th It's unclear if Gaetz can return to Congress now, since he resigned from the current session but had already been voted into the next session for his district in Florida — or whether Trump will give him another spot in his administration.

Is Hulk Hogan busy? Is Sgt Slaughter still around?

They are also using cabled drones now to counter the EW efforts.

Agreed. Neither side is going to 'win' at this point. UKR is at the mercy of those willing/un-willing to fund their attrition war at this point. Short of Europe pushing all in and funding/manning the UKR offensive to retake UKR territory I'm not sure what they expect. I wonder what would have happened if RUS had been halfway competent and taken Kyiv as they set out to do.

Will be very interesting to see how the rhetoric about hitting the cartels will come to fruition.

Yup. No disagreement there. My question was of his stance on restrictions placed on US provided weapons. I've searched to the end of internet and can't find any quotes so I think I made it up.
-
I thought I read somewhere that Trump was in favor of removing weapons restrictions on UKR in order to further his peace plan? Maybe I didn't. I can't find anything actually quoting him.

Let her talk. Just digging a deeper hole.

I'm positive this isn't anything unexpected. Whether its a recess appt or something else.

Polymarket has Gaetz at a 24% chance of being confirmed
-
Just not a fan of the hero worship some bestow upon him. I'm sure most of our elected would have the same wikipedia entries if they garnered the attention Gaetz draws on himself.

Just your standard elected rep: Gaetz's tenure as congressman led to widespread criticism and controversy.[4] In 2020, Gaetz was accused of child sex trafficking and statutory rape.[5][6] After an investigation, the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) decided not to charge him, although Gaetz remained under investigation of the House Ethics Committee up until his resignation.[7] He also became accused of illicit drug use, sharing inappropriate images and videos on the House floor, misusing state identification records, converting campaign funds for personal use, and accepting impermissible gifts.[4] He routinely conflicted with and undermined members of Republican leadership.[4] In October 2023, Gaetz filed a motion to vacate which led to the removal of Kevin McCarthy as speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives.[8][9] Though a financial disclosure form Gaetz filed in 2016 showed a net worth of $388,000, he donated $200,000 of his own money to his congressional campaign. He also resigned from two Florida House political action committees he had started and chaired; the PACs closed down and transferred $380,000 to a federal super PAC, North Florida Neighbors, whose purpose was to support Gaetz's congressional campaign.

Point counter point on twitter: Nominated to AG by Trump At least 2 US senators came out publicly saying they would not approve - it will take 4 He cannot be named an "acting" in a 3-day recess appointment because he doesn't work in the DOJ House Ethics Committee prepared to release its investigation of Gaetz on Friday Gaetz immediately resigns from Congress, leaving House Speaker Johnson shocked Resignation drops the number of confirmed Congressional seats for the GOP to 217, bringing into question which party will control the House DeSantis will fill Gaetz's seat by Jan 3 - Republicans retain majority of both House & Senate Republican House and Senate calls for a 10-day recess Trump appoints Gaetz as AG w/ no Senate input Gaetz then serves as "Acting AG" until either Senate confirmation or for 2yrs.

AZ's yearly response is 'we do it right'. Sure, almost every other state gets them done in a couple of days at most and they just haphazardly tabulate ballots and what not.
-
I'd make that deal. How 'bout you Utivich, you make that deal? I'd make that deal. I don't blame ya! Damn good deal!

FBI director just announced retirement prior to inauguration
-
Someone please explain AZ to me. How the in the hell does it take them this long to finish an election. It's every year too. 4 days in and they are at 82% overall but some are still around 60% reported.

I don't even bother with "news" sources anymore. They are always about 6-12 hours behind anything. The more reliable OSINT twitter pages are pretty fucking good. They will frequently self-correct quickly if they get out ahead of something.
-
Still at 25 from what I can see. They lowered it from 27 to 25 back in the spring.

Lots of chatter on twitter directly from UKR defense leaders on their inability to re-fill units through conscription. Lots of very degraded manpower strength units that suffer from AWOL/conscriptions not showing up. Time is ripe for a settlement. UKR won't like it but it's inevitable unless we take all the handcuffs off. I saw Biden removed the 'no US contractors in UKR' restriction yesterday.

Flynn needs to be kept far away

Yup. Way too convenient aligning with current events. What does Russia gain? What could they lose? Are they really that incompetent.....
