  1. By the absolute book, the only authorized holster is the holster you qualify with. That being said, its literally the wild west when it comes to "in theatre". Have seen it all when it comes to holsters. Don't worry about it.
  2. The AmEx deal takes a very long time. I had forgotten about it and couldn't figure out why I had a $200 plus refund one month.
  3. This BAMF spoke yesterday on DM https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&ved=0CDIQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.express.co.uk%2Fposts%2Fview%2F222791%2FThe-man-they-couldn-t-break&ei=NChjUbroEcbK0AG5mYA4&usg=AFQjCNG-UPD6N85GU_pWq9ahqMjO7A3smA&sig2=7GvpHlQf4-U0VKKpcLgTlg&bvm=bv.44770516,d.dmQ
  4. Round 2 is being filmed this summer.
  5. Have not seen the IDMT in the TOC more than a couple of times over a 4 month deployment. Me thinks the cameras had a big influence in his appearances.
  6. Maybe it's good for 10 or so new helicopters?....
  7. Dempsey also had the following to say;Gen. Dempsey responded: “f we do decide that a particular standard is so high that a woman couldn’t make it, the burden is now on the service to come back and explain to the secretary, why is it that high? Does it really have to be that high? Read more: https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/jan/25/gen-dempsey-hints-bar-likely-lowered-female-combat/#ixzz2J9ZBwZkB Follow us: @washtimes on Twitter
  8. Same in the AF as well. Giant voice testing on individual poles.
  9. Remember sitting on the ramp at Kadena inside a 135 in the middle of summer watching the aircrew and various ground folk having this very conversation for a good half hour while everyone is overheating. There was actually an infant on board they had to kick off because it was starting to "overheat". In the end, the AC's wife was allowed to stay on board.
  10. Ditto for me. Pretty much the exact numbers I ended up with. Thanks Greg.
  11. Pets can only enter the UK through the PETS scheme which requires certain airlines and certain routes. Space A will be a def no go.
  12. Didn't make a big deal about it either, showed up pretty much unannounced and did what he wanted to do. Bravo.
  13. Ha! Real cute but not seeing the correlation other than being lucky goes a long way sometimes.
  14. No. Its a testament to the only luck they had that day.
  15. Not seeing the equivalent. Nothing was damaged. Aircraft flew within 12 hours. Obviously they ######ed up and will reap the consequences but to equate it to severely damaging something I don't think plays out. Also, not much skill involved in getting it stopped.
  16. Here is the PP kill job done on him https://www.google.com/url?q=https://fiswg.research.ucf.edu/Documents/PPT/F22%2520OPSEC%2520brief%2520(unclass)%2520Feb%252008%5B1%5D.ppt&sa=U&ei=C6-2T5OzC8SrgwevoYy5Cg&ved=0CCcQFjAF&usg=AFQjCNFN7HzhtwrBDG_K2BVXvWphndZhVA
  17. Its not available until October at the earliest.
  18. Tops in Blue don't get per diem anyway. They get a monthly allowance of $240.
  19. I crewed jets for 10 years. I knew my place and it was to fix aircraft when broke. My only issue was when OPs made it harder on us to get things done without any reason. Being on the Ops side now, I still see the same attitude in some flyers. Regardless of my bickering, it was an awesome feat pulled off by everyone involved. I know how big of a bitch it had to be to get 69 crews lined up to fly as well as the work involved in getting 69 crew ready aircraft.
  20. Really? I'm detecting a trend as well. You'd recommend executing this feat on a Friday on the basis that it would allow you to "rage" in the bar versus midweek leaving maint some buffer so the entire squadron isn't in on the weekend fixing them for the next week?
