I question why anyone outside of 5 or so years to retirement would want to stick around full time to be honest. I’m sure every unit and every airframe is different. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
SocialD and mp5g, are your orders title 10? Our orders are title 10 Contingency so they look exactly like deployment orders. Just trying to figure out why you guys wouldn’t be USERRA exempt like us. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
Not sure. I know all our days are sent from AMC to “pay the bill”. I heard that AMC decided to fund it this way through these type of orders rather than allocating AGR assets to the ONE mission. As far as our local manning I have watched it go from feast to famine and back to feast. It’s a buyers market. Last year we had guys on orders for the whole year, only coming off ONE orders for a quick deployment, then back to ONE. For the first time since pre-COVID we are going to have guest help because we don’t have enough volunteers. Going to be an interesting year! Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
It is crazy how these orders are all over the place. I was talking to another base that all of their guys get full per diem while on ONE. At my base you have to live >75 miles away from base. Then from what I understand the fighter guys on ONE are all AGR? Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
Good info. Our orders are ONE Alert and USERRA Exempt but not statutory. Would have been nice to get the $35-25k, but still if I can grab some $15k bonuses for my guys, every little bit helps. It’s getting tougher as the airlines start to get more desperate for bodies. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
Thanks Brabus! The only problem with Tier 1 is it says it’s for AGR or Statutory Tour Only. Does anyone know what a Statutory Tour is? Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
Before I get someone’s guess at my base, I figured I would reach out to the bros on here. We have a Title-10 mission at my base and we get fed man days from AMC and TACC quarterly through the M4S system. Last year I had guys that were on orders the whole year (365 days+) and it got me thinking, if or how could I get them a pilot bonus. Has anyone had any experience getting a traditional pilot on full time title-10 orders eligible for the bonus? I figure this could potentially help retain some guys if I can figure out a way to put some extra $ in their pocket. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
Back when I lived in Florida, they wouldn’t even provide insurance for my house in the middle of the state. I couldn’t get any further from the coast. I switched everything at that point. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
I’ve got nothing against the guy and really don’t know a whole lot about him but it seems all he does is grandstand. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
I think I remember loving SOS, but I’m not 100% sure. Everyone else said I had a great time though. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
Agree with Lesson 1 (while still a candidate), but partially disagree on Lesson 2, unless units are asking vaccination status as a form of weeding out, then by all means go get the jab. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
Back at ENJJPT you had to be in the top half of your class to FAIP, but during the glory days 15 out of 20 students would get fighters. So at worst the FAIP would be 10 out of 20 and five or six guys below him would go fly fighters. How bad it must have sucked when the FAIP drop came out and he ended up getting a bomber. I’m struggling to find some info. How can an ANG Officer find when they are eligible for promotion? My DOR to O-4 was 1 Oct 19, and my unit is having a mass exodus of O-5s this year freeing up a ton of O-5 billets. Would I be eligible to meet next years O-5 board and pin on 1 Oct 23? Good points in reference to commuting. I live near my guard base and when I go back to the airlines will be 2ish hours from domicile. I would never live in the cesspit of my domicile. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
