I have encouraged my students to evaluate what they are getting at assignment night. If they are happy with the big possibility that they may never fly a manned AC outside of ENJJPT, then I tell them go for it. I tell them to talk to the many dudes we have in the reserves who got non-vol'd into RPA service and see if that is a life they are satisfied with. If not, assignment night comes before graduation for a reason, and I tell them to faithfully serve the ADSC they got from ROTC/USAFA and part ways with the AF.

It's so great we are passing over so many fighter dudes. I mean all I ever hear anymore is how overmanned we are in 11Fs... /sarcasm off. Who is running this s#itshow?

Not official, but my two cents. Don't push for getting BAH for spouse location, take the w/dependents BAH at wherever you get assigned and for the love of God live as close to base as you can find that is safe (class party house, is a great way to make friends). You will have super early mornings and a 30 min drive sucks. Just my opinion as a UPT instructor, some others may disagree or have other opinions.

Has anyone else noticed having a sad story seem to help getting out? The people I know who got out with extended ADSCs seem to have pretty valid reasons for an early Palace Chase.

Not sure how long enlisted. He is at 18 years and passed over twice. Wants to get TERA but continued to 20. That's all I know based on what he told me.

I know a dude 11M 2ABZ prior enlisted, took pilot bonus putting him at 18 years = no TERA

Is the TEB adsc being looked upon negatively? Does anyone know?

The guard was never designed to be the same or work the same as Active Duty. If there is no difference I am willing to bet the Guard would have the same retention problems we have on AD.

My guess is former WSO? Hence F-15E time and only senior pilot.
