  1. Sorry to hijack but what are the financial implications for walking into a Technician job from Active Duty (UPT base/IP)? Is that a good deal as an IP? What kind of compensation should someone expect compared to the AD teet I've been sucking on for the past 6 years?
  2. Is there any reserve component there? Looking at options with this VSP!!!!
  3. Joe, that is perhaps the most intelligent post you have ever shared with this community.
  4. 365s for everyone!!!
  5. Hey kid, you got to get in first and realize how horrible it is before you start talking about Palace Chase! To answer your question, someone will correct me if it has changed but it is 2/3 of your initial commitment and you are PC eligible. Chance of success however is a whole different ball game.

Great advice. I like the look and nostalgia of the wood furniture, but ultimately I want function, so I think polymer is what I should look for. I would like a fixed stock though. Definitely looking for a 7.62. Thanks again guys!

I'm planning on digging through this thread extensively, but I have about $1000 in my pocket that I would love to put towards an AK. Any quick advice? I have a AR and know some basics about AKs but nowhere near the level that you all do. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
  10. Thank God he finally sought out the help he needed.
  11. He has only got more "awesome" with rank.
  12. So what ever happened to Joe1234?
  13. What about the RIF me letters to the board? Anyone know on the last round the success rate of that course of action? What about the RIF me letters to the board? Anyone know on the last round the success rate of that course of action?
  14. Between him and the previous Little Rock WG/CC aka SOS Commander, they are producing some real winners.
  15. Hmmm... that guy keeps popping up on the negative side of a lot of our BO.net conversations. Just sayin...
  16. Too many people are leaving!!! Quick change the regs!!!
  17. I remember the rudder effectiveness drills while load is on the jet. Little unsure of stomping on the rudder while stalled...
  18. Had a classmate trying to tell other studs that during TP stalls you should step on the rudder to recover because it was more effective under G-loads.
  19. I was debriefing a T-38 sortie with my FLT/CC when I realized my pins were still in my G-Suit. Did the old "Forgot something out at the jet" routine on the bus driver and sheepishly put them back in. Also did half of an instrument ride with pins in - I was back seat so IP never noticed. Makes me wonder how the hell I made it through Phase III without hooking a ride!!!
  20. Anyone want to post his bio for full FS humiliation and shaming purposes?

  22. Honest answer... Our best and brightest in AMC are now working for Southwest, FedEx and hell probably McDonalds right now. Think about that next time you meet a Two-Below the zone O-5, AMC guy who is their poster boy.. The level of bullshit that I saw during my prison term with AMC was enough to make the decision for me. Even though it's the non-flyers who gleefully enforce those stupid rules, it's that 2 BTZ Superstar Pilot that comes up with the bullshit in the first place.
  23. Talked to my buddy who was one of the ACs, and got some clarification on the story which only makes it funnier. SE Boom commented to them he flew commercial out there upon finishing some AF stuff down in Florida specifically to give them a check because they were a TFI crew on an AMC mission and that was the one way he could get around the two weeks notice to their OG/CC, Guard O-6. Which proved to be illegal according to the Reg. He mentioned the booms did get debriefed on cargo loading procedures one on one with the evaluator, but afterwards he debriefed the A coded AC on what their Q-3 items were so he could pass to the OG. SE booms plan was to Q-3 the AD boom for insufficient EFB charge and the ANG boom for not adequately addressing Infants during the Passenger Briefing. The AC says he kept the notepad paper where he wrote down what the dude said because no one in their right mind would believe him back home. The OG/CC and Ch of OGV back home were pissed about the whole situation and called the AMC Ch of SE. Side note: I need to get a copy of that paper so I can add it to my "Boss, I quit..." Book that I plan on publishing when I get out...
  24. I'm sure the truth is somewhere in the middle. I do find it funny that he didn't know his own regs that stated he couldn't give the crew a checkride. Q-3 to him for SA. Lol
  25. Dude reading comprehension! First of all how do you know we are even talking about the same guy? Second I recommended the FWA after I heard he flew commercial from Florida(?) to Hawaii only to give a checkride he wasn't legal to give. Had he been cool and not a giant douche, The crew wouldn't have given a shit that he got a sweet Hawaii vacation on the tax payers dime, but when you start trying to swing your evaluator dick around needlessly, don't be surprised when people try to screw you back any legitimate way they can. Bottom line nothing was done about it either way and he lives to be a douche to another unsuspecting tanker crew. Stories like this make me glad I got paroled from AMC.
