  1. Further progress, kinda neat: https://theaviationist.com/2025/01/26/first-public-glimpse-of-the-franken-lightning-built-from-two-damaged-f-35s/
  2. Yes, and I laughed about how 4Chan pulled one over on tons of people. This is NOT that. If you can't see that then you clearly lack the ability to think critically or overcome your own bias. The dude did the Nazi salute...twice. Now the WHY has me curios. Also, interested to see if he will comment on it or just continue to delete/ban people on X for discussing it.
  3. He can say whatever he wants while still doing a Nazi salute. Doesn't erase the actions of performing that gesture. He could have recited the "ha'tov ve'ha'metiv" (Jewish blessing), in Hebrew, but it still doesn't make it any better. Maybe it's because he is autistic. Maybe it's because he likes the Romans. But just dismissing it as TDS or leftist talking points is basically doing the same thing you claim but in the opposite direction. I'd like some follow up on the matter if he is involved in the government...just as I'd like follow up to any other government official supporting Hamas/ISIS/etc.
  4. I watched the video. Dude does it twice. Unless there is some South African cultural connection to this gesture it really can't be explained away or dismissed.
  5. Not worth it. But, OCONUS we wore self procured suits. So they could be as nice or shitty as you wanted to invest for,
  6. Some good news (for us) in China following their two fancy new airplane flights: Citizens not having spending cash has to one of those events that happens right before mass protests which hopefully leads to civil unrest which then can lead to regime change. One can hope...
  7. The renovation was completed in 2011 then basically sat unused as a VIP house. Not saying that was a good use of funds or defending the decision makers here...but it wasn't exactly like the $1.2M was spent last year and it knocked down this year. They should have just knocked the rank requirement off and given it to an FGO who wanted to live on base, IMO.
  8. If that movie doesn't end with the national anthem and the raising of the flag I'm gonna be pissed...
  9. Definitely apply! IMO, there are no more "mandatory" requirements for the 89th. There used to be a no fighter rule and now they have hired two 11F's (but only 1 actually made it there). Worst they can say is apply again later.
  10. Daddy Biden pardons Baby (Hunter) Biden. Calls it an unfair witch hunt. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/joe-biden/joe-biden-issue-pardon-son-hunter-biden-rcna182369
  11. I agree that illegals voting can happen. But, I don't believe it did, especially in any significant numbers, occur in this election. I'd be happy to see proof to the contrary, though. I am all for legal/approved ID being required to vote. I think that's just (un)common sense IMO.
  12. Classic correlation vs causation. Liberal states vote left and a leftist tenant is their disbelief in voter ID laws. Not that a lack of voter ID turned those states liberal. They were already liberal. Also, as of today, that list seems to be incorrect since Trump has won Nevada and Pennsylvania.
  13. Future Onion/Duffle blog Headline: Spirit Returns Fire, 10 EKIA in Haiti.
  14. I think with the advances in technology we could design something fast as hell, stealthy, and still able to turn (YF-23). Just don't put a lift fan in middle of it...
  15. Automated boom refueling has already happened: And the Navy's Boeing MQ-25 is LO and obviously a drone. I'm sure it does a lot more than just buddy tank too. Hell, the even Navy did automated receiver AR in 2015 with their X-47 off an Omega KC-707. So, LO tankers aren't "that" hard. But scaling from fighter size vs transport size is definitely a challenge. It'll have to be a custom build like the B-21. Why not just build bigger fighters, I dunno...let's call them interceptors...and stuff them with enough gas to make it the fight and back (ie: MIG-25/31, F-14, J-20, etc). A lot easier than building LO tankers, IMO.
  16. I would love Rand Paul as Sec Tres. But I don't think Tres can really solve our national debt issues...that comes down the Senate and House passing pork filled ridiculous budgets. What are the con's of taking a sitting Republican Senator and making them a cabinet Secretary? Is there some worry about losing that seat in a reelection?
  17. Man, doesn't Purple already have it bad enough with their activist investors and contract negotiations? Now they gotta deal with Putin's package bombs too?! They can't catch a break...
  18. I blame State way more than I blame the DoD. Fire them all first.
  19. I found this chart pretty interesting: Basically, Trump did a better job getting people to vote than Kamala did. The Republican's didn't win the election, the Democrats lost it. My guess: because they ran a person people didn't like. Even Bernie agrees with me:
  20. So, I am unfamiliar with the intimate history of NATO courting Ukraine for membership. But, I did just read the Wikipedia article dedicated to the subject, and it seems like the only recent (in the last decade) time Ukraine seriously considered joining was after they were invaded by Russia in 2014. So, while I continually hear the narrative that this is NATO/West's fault for seducing Ukraine into the organization...I'm not seeing it that way. But, I am open to learning if you care to refute the Wikipedia article and educate a mostly uninformed individual on your counternarrative.
  21. Tit for tat.
  22. Further googled: Dutch and Danish F-16's were donated to Ukraine. Those are AM and BM configured which have been upgraded to have HMD's. Also this picture from The War Zone helps: Definitely not an -9X in the picture, but that doesn't mean they do or don't have them.
  23. UAF F-16 allegedly downs SU-34. Follow ups: - Do their Vipers have off boresight capability? - Did we give them -9X's? https://armyrecognition.com/news/army-news/army-news-2024/breaking-news-ukrainian-f-16-fighter-wins-first-air-to-air-fight-shoots-down-russian-su-34
