  1. So Israel and Al Qaeda are on the same side? That's a first.
  2. Hope she enjoys her first double track w/the autopilot inop. Or hell, first sortie downrange with the autopilot inop. Hello 10 hours of hand flying.
  3. So who has a really high speed LPA? All we could manage was a limo...so this would be major one-upmanship right here.
  4. I agree, the scene at the end of the credits was more like the one after the Avengers, good for a chuckle but not a teaser for anything else.
  5. Aren't 747s fly by wire? The stab trim brake on the KC-135 is mechanical and I really hope the 747 doesn't have the same bike chain we have for trimming.
  6. Damn. Too much of this lately. To the crew.

    Lube: Lithium grease.
  8. That post went up after a recall to, in person, inform the squadron.
  9. Damn, pilot was from my squadron. Him, him.
  10. Haha awesome. That reminds me of this for some reason:
  11. As a scheduler I can see it now: This flight crew is too monochromatic...throw someone else in. Or 95% of all sorties are flown by males...why is that? Maybe because there are only 5% G codes in the squadron...
  12. It's all Kosher.
  13. Damn. Him, Him.
  14. No KC-135? D'oh! Edit: And the C-20 costing more than a C-17? I call bullshit on that one...
  15. Here is a real test drive from some guys I knew out of Chicago. NSFW at 4:50
  16. Sploosh.
  17. It was posted about 4 or above yours. Thus, repost ops.
  18. Any chance the AF will stand up a unit or is that dead? Sounds like it would be a hoot to fly and a pretty bad ass mission.

You obviously aren't in this thread enough to know my stance on firearms. Yea, I can see this easily becoming a stepping stone toward wider confiscation, which I definitely have issue with. I definitely haven't put enough thought into it, I'll be the first to admit. But my gut response was what I wrote. Not a terrible idea, but definitely in need of tweaking and very clear rules. That's really the part I'm leaning toward. Obviously, mental health is tricky to diagnose and very easy to cross the line on infringing rights. But I think for felons this is a non-issue and should be enforced. In other news...when will gun prices drop so I can finish my 14.5 AR w/pinned break (thanks Illinois for no SBR) super lightweight build? Thank God I got my polymer lower before this thing went full retard.

So...you prefer convicted felons maintain their access to firearms? Or you trust them to follow the law and turn in their firearms if they owned them prior to the conviction?

Hmm I'm slightly on the fence with this one. If Adam Lanza's mom didn't have any firearms then the kids ability to shoot up the school would have been greatly reduced. While perhaps a long shot, this proactive law does make a lot more sense for violent felons who may have already legally owned a gun but then got convicted. What are they odds they just turn in their guns after the conviction? Dangerous ground I admit...but I'm really 50/50 on it.
