Any guesses on implications of Chinese military activity around Taiwan? I’ve never seen anything quite like it. if they were going to invade, which I’d always thought unlikely, there’s no better time. We just lost a war, no political appetite to pay the price of defending Taiwan militarily, etc. Perhaps it’s just harassment, but there’s no doubt the level of aggression is increasing. Open source article (which is lame) for context: https://www.nbcnews.com/think/opinion/threat-china-invading-taiwan-growing-every-day-what-u-s-ncna1273386

Are you asking for a screenshot of the “false positive test being recalled?” I have no idea what rates are.

Criminally underreport? How do you know that? Illegally funding gain of function with tax money in a foreign country to hide from congress then lying to congress is an example of real criminally under reporting. We just received an email that the COVID tests we’ve been using for high schoolers (in Florida) are recalled due to inordinately high false positives. Is anyone going back in time to subtract all those false positives? No. This whole thing is bullshit. In a real pandemic you don’t spend all this time and effort trying to convince people a pandemic is happening. It’s apparent.

Lol. Sorry I’m late to the online party.

This hypothetical scenario based speculation is mildly interesting, but it’s quite clear CJCS is a disgrace for many reasons and must resign or be fired. I personally think Austin, Miley and McKenzie at a minimum no longer remain credible in their positions after the AFG debacle. Unfortunately we all know there will be no accountability.
-
Happy to talk if you want to Dm me. I know exactly what you feel, having done more of this than perhaps anyone in the AF. But I would challenge a few of your assumptions. The things you’ve done are not for nothing.

Lol. Liberals love to pretend they cherish your above stated core tenet. But there’s always an anti-freedom catch that forces others to comply. There’s a catch with owning guns, there’s a catch with free speech on campus, there’s a catch with medical care, posting on Facebook, abortion, church services, public schools, election law, immigration, etc. In fact there’s no subject where liberals actually live out your alleged core tenet. They’re just tyrannical hypocrites every time.

R9X: don’t believe the hype.
-
No. Don’t believe they hype, he was and is a political creature. That he was fired because his underlings were undisciplined and foolish does not equate to speaking truth to power and being willing to fall for it.

Controlled det. But it remains spicy here.

Not sure what you mean by Dunkirk or what your working evacuation has to do with this, but the ANA folded. There's no resistance. Maybe there will be in the future, but for now our investment in this military appears to be a total waste.
-
I've seen a few of your posts saying things like this. Not sure where you're getting your info, but it's completely wrong. The entire AFG military folded without a fight when the enemy hit Kabul.

https://taskandpurpose.com/news/air-force-afghanistan-special-operations/?amp It’s an article about an article, but still worth a few minutes of your time.

I think we mostly agree: words mean things. Chinese military scientists made a virus more transmissible & deadly. That involves a high degree of intentionality as you say. We helped fund it (naively thinking “gain of function” is something other than weaponization). You might not like the nomenclature, but that is a bioweapon dude. Whether those scientist meant it to be a weapon or not I don’t know, but surely you don’t think PLA involvement was altruistic? That I think lab escape was accidental is irrelevant to my language. The only way this conversation is productive is if we all assume the best intentions of each other. It’s not hyperbole for me to label something a weapon when military scientists are intentionally increasing lethality. But I understand why you are sensitive to potential hyperbole; emotion poisons logic. If you want to call it something else that doesn’t bother me and I’d prefer to focus on areas we agree. All that said, what do you think we can do to China to combat what they’ve done to our economy? How can we fight back at something that has hurt us, and must be defended against, but does not look like the traditional war we have trained for? These are the questions that can unite us.
-
Quote for me exactly where I said “intentional bioweapon release.” Because I specifically said accidentally funded. No idea why it was released; but an accident is more plausible than intentional to me. Your entire post is predicated on me saying something I did not say.

This might be an area were those of us in disagreement can have a constructive conversation if we all assume the best of each other. I’ll start: no I do not think mask mandates are some weird DOD mind control experiment. I think DOD bureaucrats are doing what all bureaucrats do: curry favor and survive by knowing which way the political winds blow. I also don’t think masks have an appreciable difference on the spread of Covid. We can disagree about how the statistics read, but when I look at numbers & spikes worldwide that is my opinion. Let’s not bother debating it, we probably disagree, just realize I hold that opinion in good faith. so what is my answer to your question? I think the mask debate is a giant distraction in order to divide us against each other as a population. divided, we’re all at each other‘s throat‘s about who’s fault these episodic spikes are. And none of us are able to look up and give the obvious answer about who’s fault it is: the Chinese and the idiot scientists at NIH. Our government accidentally funded a Chinese military bio weapon that was released on our population. Think for a moment about the implications of that statement. And then realize nobody’s doing anything about it, we’re all busy talking about whether or not third graders should wear one mask or two and yelling at Floridians for wearing none. The Chinese are loaded with cash. They have bought our media, many of our politicians are in their pocket. These are not fringe conspiracy theories. What do we do? World War III? That’s not going to happen. An FBI investigation of NIH or some kind of bi-partisan origins probe would be helpful. But none of those things are going to happen either, and is there any good reason why not? I think our adversary, the Chinese, are deliberately waging information warfare against us. The CDC and NIH are focused on the small shit and these smalltime debates because they are complicit in the origins of this pandemic. Whether you agree or not, many people have a good reason to believe there is some weird ass hypocrisy going on: Americans are being blamed for choosing not to vaccinate their children By the same people importing Covid positive illegal immigrant children. Church in CA = jail but BLM riots are encouraged to stop the “white supremacy pandemic.” “Scientists” are saying these things, I mean seriously what the fuck? Every mandate and piece of information is suspect coming from people obviously playing politics. You’re a smart dude, tell me honestly d you not at all understand why rational people have serious reservations about what’s happening and are hesitant to just shut up and obey?
-
Just to be clear, you are calling people with three page vaccination sheets who do not want this particular experimental vaccine “anti-vaxxers?” And you are calling the huge number of Democrat voting minorities electing not to receive the COVID vaccine “Trump supporters?” Do you think those with natural immunity should be forced to vaccinate? Do you think it makes you sound smart to falsely label people? Or is name-calling just a sad outlet to vent frustration in lieu of cogent thought? I am vaccinated, still got COVID, and am 100% against forcing my kids to get this injection. There are idiosyncrasies here that should be considered rationally.
-
What makes you think any of us will be able to take our masks off?
-
Irony is a two-way street: lots of people wearing pussy hats and screaming about a women’s right to make her own choices regarding abortion (despite what the father thinks) who are now 100% good forcing an injection into women concerned about second order fertility effects. Disgusting. I like the red herring spear at bible thumpers. As if they had anything to do with this conversation. Some people just love tyranny, and hate debate.
-
Good point. The “trust the data” position was undermined early in the pandemic. The same scientists who I’d normally trust were telling me Trump political rallies were super spreader events but then signing letters saying BLM riots were ok. Data indicates kids not statistically significant spreaders but we have to cancel schools when the teachers union edits the CDC talking points. “This definitely developed naturally” turned into a total hoax as the scientists were discovered to be behind an attempt to hide the origin in a lab in China they were donating to. These aren’t conspiracy theories, all of these events above happened. When data originates from people caught lying, their additional data is suspect. This is why Fauci’s “noble lie” approach is so damaging. We are the most advanced and scientifically minded society to have ever existed. That we’re back to telling each other anecdotes is not a sign we’re idiots, but rather the scientists should have stayed in their lane of science.
-
Yes, I’m convinced the vaccine has an effect. Clearly I chose to get it. What exactly the effect is and why it differs between people I don’t know. Ergo I’m opposed to mandating my children receive it. And folks telling me my experiences are “false” is unproductive.
-
UK reporting 40% of COVID hospitalizations are from double vaccinated. Maybe we can at least agree that more is going on than headlines reveal, and more data with less censorship will help the public be informed. ”your actual experience means nothing because I have government figures indicating otherwise” has proven to be an unconvincing tactic. But I see you will continue using it regardless.
-
I’m fully vaccinated and recently tested positive. Also, everyone of the positives we’ve had recently have been fully vaccinated— I can see the vaccination status of my members. There has been a peculiar phenomenon during this entire pandemic: people like you certain that things are true or false without actually knowing at all.

Looks like we’re not totally done out there.
