They have to go off of "market value". If you get a 3/2 you'll pay max which is around the 1575. If i would have taken a 2/2 I'd be making money but it wasn't enough. I was quoted a reg by the dude that filled the slots. They needed an AETC waiver to get me to IFS because of the blurb you just read above. Its annoying but Doss isn't bad. The IPs are legit. It is what it is.

Apparently as of the next class anyone is eligible for AMS. News to me, seems crazy.

What was your pcsm? AFRC reg states below 80 goes to IFS regardless. I spoke with a civilian guy who works with AFRC for filling these slots and he says the goal is to make everyone go. The folks in the office feel it will be a good transition for anyone moving to UPT. Having never been, I'll hold my opinions until afterward and go in well prepared. Do you have a class date?

Consensus says macbook pro or air. I'm actually a bit surprised to see no love for a tablet at all. As far as UPT, since it's still paper pubs (as far as I know) I'm curious if a tablet would even be worth it? Im over the one trick pony iPad but the galaxy tablets look legit. Either way, off to the apple store or checking online for refurbs and used. Anyone have any good links for the HUP for Microsoft Office?

I second time hatred for lotus. Gear, I have an 09 macbook and shes slowing down. The repairs for some of the hardware are almost worth replacing the unit. I know I can get the hup and office but I can't update the os anymore without hardware upgrades. Its just hard to pull the trigger on a new macbook or an air. I'm headed to OTS next month and looking for a fix before I head out. Im starting to really loathe apple for there prices and the formatting between Mac and windows is always a PITA. I guess I'm looking to see what people have recently purchased and whats working for them. My apologies, I'll lock it up Butters. And once I get my O/E pay I'll be looking at those forms of Lotus as well.

I've been contemplating a Galaxy tablet to replace a laptop but still need basic work functions for EPR/OPR and Lotus form. I currently use a Mac but having both Windows and Macs OS bogs down the system and the laptop is due for an upgrade anyway. Has anyone tried Lotus Forms on a Galaxy Tablet? Are the Bluetooth keyboards worth while in making this a laptop replacement? Or am I just wishing at this point? I'm tired of forking cash over to apple, but windows is horrible IMHO. As far as work goes, I don't think I have an option to avoid windows anymore unless something like this could work. Any input?

Anyone going through during the new program without the upperclass? Just seeing if there are any changes anyone feels is worth noting or being prepared for.

I used the Sporty's Study Buddy App. I aced the ground test and the questions were pretty much verbatim. So if you had your PPL did they say what they'd do? I'm going to be a tight squeeze as well, and although I have my PPL AFRC says I'm going. Just curious how pushy they were on the height issue... did they try to make you cram and make it work? Or pretty lenient after they saw the tight squeeze. A few people I've talked to said "get a haircut". I guess it's time to start cramming, literally.

So what was the word? On the Intro page to the DOSS IFS arrival guide it has all of the measurements to fit in the cockpit. I'm within an inch of all of the prescribed measurements to fit inside (sts). Just curious on what they decided to do for you.

Update to my status, I hit the June AFRC board and received a 15-03 OTS class and UPT starting in March of 15. This may give timelines to those in the future. Board results came out 8 July.

If you think about how inflated the EPR system is, it really doesn't matter. The fact that stratting doesn't start before E-7 has impact with this. Regardless, it's interesting that the E culture is that way. Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!

State of Oklahoma... If you're .05-.07 and pulled over in suspicion you can receive a DWI with DUI penalties. Basically lesser fines but still a slam. Its a state thing. But you can't get hit at a checkpoint unless you show reason to be pulled over like speeding or failing to yield, swerving etc. Hope that makes it about as clear as mud. Another reason to avoid OK. I'm torn because the loyalty that many people have with their product, and thats why I'm intrigued with the stock. Share price is on my mind just out of curiosity in max shares along with a public perception as the stock gets higher. I'd imagine more interest at $5/share vs $40. I personally think the stock will pop for a few days and then pull a facebook and lack profit for some time. I've never done the IPO thing and I've recently tried playing around with stocks. I was just curious to see others thoughts. Thats a great perspective from Buffet.
