What is the source of this fancy graph; I was never given a chance to participate. And you just casually throw out that 16% of Americans, or up to 53 million people, belief the "Satan worshipping" line. I'm thinking we're identifying part of the problem with political discourse in our country...

Investment showdown -- beyond the Roth, SDP, & TSP
jrizzell replied to Swizzle's topic in Squadron Bar
I guess the factors that led to the financial collapse of 2008 was all based on sound reasoning....It’s one thing, greed. The events of today were 100% market manipulation by Wall Street. Melvin, the hedge fund shorted 140% of GameStop stock, yes more than was available. Citadel, funded Melvin when it became apparent they didn’t have the financial backing to cover their anticipated loses. Citadel also own Robinhood, which then conveniently stopped individuals from buying shares today. Oh yeah, the former FED Chairman during Biden’s VP term, Ben Bernanke, is a senior advisor to Citadel. Wall Street makes and changes the rules in order to make money for themselves, they could give two shits about whom the destroy in the process. The WallStreetBets crowd was literally acting in accordance with the rules of buying and selling stock. There should be people in jail for this...But we know that won’t happen, 1 person was given jail time following the 2008 meltdown.- 1,190 replies

Ditto this, and honestly I would be even more conservative. After I talked to my VA rep, when you start to feel pain, is when you stop...You can absolutely push through until it hurts a lot more, but what's uncomfortable today, will be way worse in 10-15 years.

The ol’ BBC...how did I end up on this website [emoji51]

With the Dems in charge, the repercussions of this idiotic event will be the thing to watch. I think this author (Glenn Greenwald) summed it up perfectly. "But as was true of the Cold War and the War on Terror and so many other crisis-spurred reactions, the other side of the ledger — the draconian state powers clearly being planned and urged and prepared in the name of stopping them — carries its own extremely formidable dangers. Refusing to consider those dangers for fear of standing accused of downplaying the threat is the most common tactic authoritarian advocates of state power use. Less than twenty-four hours after the Capitol breach, one sees this tactic being wielded with great flamboyance and potency, and it is sure to continue long after January 20." I haven’t been paying attention to the events in D.C. today, but based on some replies on the Interweb’s, sure seems to be a whole bunch of D’s are real big “Law and Order” types today. Regardless of your motivation, we can all agree the destruction of property is wrong. And storming the capital while holding a Confederate flag, isn’t making the statement you think it is...

Republicans need to move on from Trump and focus on how they’re going to attract new young voters and grow the party. The day he leaves office, Twitter is going to ban him, and he loses the most effective tool he has for promoting his message. I honestly feel like if the Senate goes D, we’re in for a unprecedented time in our nation. And Republicans need to have a productive counter narrative.

This is a really thought provoking documentary on the ease with which election votes can be manipulated. It’s from that right wing conspiracy channel...HBO https://www.hbo.com/documentaries/kill-chain-the-cyber-war-on-americas-elections

Trump knows he lost, he’s just dragging it out to try and inflict political damage on Biden. I personally don’t think that there’s a massive multi-state conspiracy that’s keeping him from a fair election; that requires too many moving parts to execute. His own actions turned previous supporters against him. I will say this, if the tables were turned and Trump was getting all the mail-in votes, and Biden lost his election night lead over it. We all know what the reaction on the streets/MSM would have been...and it wouldn’t be how Trump supporters are handling it.

I don’t know, nor is it important. The only thing pharmaceutical companies care about is money. And getting their vaccine distributed global, first, is all that matters. OWS created an environment of accelerated development, which they were directly part of.
-
Pfizer was in direct competition with every pharmaceutical company looking to be the first to market with a safe vaccine.Whoever gets there first “wins”; they will make billions. Even if they didn’t take a penny, they were racing against those that did.

In 2000, Al Gore conceded Florida on December 13th...just for a frame of reference for litigation purposes

I’ve never understood this part. America is terrible and racist, with a government that oppresses women and minorities. But it should also provide everyone with an basic level of income, and all with free Universal health care, So what’s the system/model that offered all this? Where on the globe do you not have evil...

If the Republicans can hold a majority in the Senate...A 50-50 split and VP is tie breaking vote on bills 🤞

The election results aren’t going to be official for weeks. At least with a landslide victory there would have been quick resolution. Now it’s going to be non-stop “mystery ballot boxes appearing” and “count every vote, even if it arrived a week late” rhetoric until it gets resolved by the SCOTUS....basically right on brand for 2020

The Harris/Biden campaign waited until many people had early voted before she posted this cute Twitter clip. “Equality of outcome, so we all end up at the same place”, is contrary to what has made America an environment which people across the globe seek out. I absolutely accept that many people, don’t start off on the small place. But if we start to expect the “Government” to ensure we’re all ending the same, that’s the opposite of freedom.

Point of order...I never mentioned your comments. I was referring only to Joyrides silly statement; my panties are unbunched.
-
I’m going to venture that Joyride has never participated or planned an event like this. For many airframes, TOT control is critical to “combat effectiveness”.

If 24 years works for you and your life situation, then sign the paperwork. ThreeHoler is correct, it’s not an ADSC, you can leave whenever you want. The purpose of Continuation is it provides you a path to obtain a full military retirement, once you fail to get promoted, that’s all. No one will be forcing you to stay the full 24, but it’s there if you want.

He’ll serve 12 months; then have the “courage” to step down while his family deals with his newly diagnosed cognitive decline issues. Or they keep his body at the helm, and try and run the country behind the scenes like Cheney did...Either scenario, the most liberal US Senator will be POTUS sooner, rather than never.
-
I think we can all agree after watching those interviews that Harris is just remarkably unlikable. Her fake smiling laughter “tick” is odd and off-putting.

The general public has no idea how military aviation operates. They don’t understand the training crew gains by hitting a set TOT, they don’t recognize the work that goes into route study and all the coordination it entails. All they see, is the awesome jets flying over at the right time of the Anthem. Then make silly comments like “hard earned tax dollars at work”. Yeah Joe that’s exactly what we’re all paying for...letting aircrew execute their skill set #FlyEaglesFly

The Hunter Biden narrative isn’t going to move the needle, unless you can show that VP Biden actually did something illegal. Here’s the deal, there are hundreds of thousands of parents who have to deal with their children’s addictions, yes even grown children. You don’t stop trying to help your kid just because he’s an adult. It’s what you do, because you watch them grow from an infant, and try to help them ever step of the way. I don’t care if HB was a coke head, that’s his cross to bear. He’s not running for President.
