  1. There is a form you submit as “justification” why you should meet an SSB. Autumn Foley helped me as an Active Duty member. The goal is to find anything that you can, to get yourself another look.
  2. Good luck to all those people waiting on the info. If your boss is worth their salt, they should be letting people know before the July 4th break...
  3. If you’ve had limited work interaction with the Civilian Force of the DOD, then it can be a bit of a culture shock. Ask most of them and they know a “blue suiter” will be gone in two years, that’s good or bad. If you work at the Pentagon I’m sure the turnover is greater than that. Try this leaders, treat people like you would like to be treated. Screaming at people, in my opinion, is an ineffective technique.
  4. I read the comments and I think what it shows is the civilian population complete lack of understanding of the US armed forces culture. This is not an indictment on them, just they have no clue on what we do or who we are. Every military aviator saw the MAGA patch and thought “that’s funny”. They see it as something entirely different, as they have no idea what a morale patch is.
  5. Yet...they haven’t been fired yet...
  6. I guess somebody just realized she had a FIRE BREATHING dragon at her disposal...Like what has she been doing this season
  7. Is PTDY able to be broken up like that for multiple weeks at a time....I didn’t think it was just free leave to use at your leisure, it’s for your “transition” to the real world
  8. Looks like it’s a wrap for the flying mission at the Puerto Rico ANG.They had to send all their flyers through a gentleman’s “requal” last summer... https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/27408/puerto-rico-air-guards-c-130-airlifters-and-flying-role-are-being-taken-away
  9. More food for thought https://news.clearancejobs.com/2019/03/30/can-i-invest-in-a-marijuana-business-if-i-have-a-security-clearance-ask-cj/
  10. Keep the current test in place; eliminate the “minimum passing standards” for each event. All that matters is if you get above a 75. Unfortunately the fear among the generals is seeing a bunch of fats kids in their uniform, so therein lies the purpose of the waist measurement. There are multiple ways to skin the cat, and it all depends on what you think is the best way to achieve fitness; i.e. Running, weight training, or HIIT.
  11. This absolutely would be the best way to use a DA. But as that is common sense and logical; it has no place in this decision process 😬 I hope this turns out like it should...
  12. Not any knock on those who put in their time on that desk, but Big Blue has enabled sending 220 Execs directly to school...do we think a Wing/CC will send anyone else??
  13. Each lead MAJCOM will have a list of “certified” Simulators that meet the requirement to log an OFDA creditable flight.
  14. As much as many old crusty fliers hate to admit, but women can and want to fly in the USAF. And we celebrate someone who is a “first”. Having a female face can be a powerful recruitment tool to appeal to the people who we protect. And per most comments about her, she was a great aviator as well; i.e. not just a pretty face
  15. Two weeks...most “leaders” are still trying to play catch up to their new responsibilities at two weeks. Something is really fishy, especially considering how big a deal it was for her to lead the demo team.
  16. Looking at AFPC stats with a P and APZ 2018: 2.5% 2017: 3.2% 2016: 0.6% 2015: 2.9% 2014: 0.2% So chances aren’t in their favor without DP
  17. This narrative method is the way some leaders like to write their PRF’s. But that “If I had one more” push line is like the Super P
  18. Nobody Expects The Spanish Inquisition
  19. And this right here is why the OCP becoming mandatory wear is another goal of Big Blue. We all need to be “equal”
  20. Is your CC questioning you about wearing a bag? Or are you just trying to not rock the boat? Can always wear it until it becomes an issue...unless your the only one in the cube farm doing it ;)
  21. I just closed on my new house at my impending PCS location using the team from Trident loans. This was an incredibly smooth process! My lead was John with assist by Lisa. They were both incredibly quick with communication and information they needed to complete the process. There were some minor hiccups; but I attribute that to the underwriters being diligent and doing their piece of the puzzle. Big thumbs up for this team!
  22. As an Air Force aviator, I enjoy the heritage of my service and that includes being a bag wearer. Thanks for your input; and have fun shitting in the woods in your OCP’s
  23. This is the absolute truth, DP your okay, P is a coin flip
  24. For those of you who didn’t make the cut, I would call AFPC immediately and talk to the promotions counsellor (believe her name is Autumn Foley). If you see or find a mistake in your record, you can submit a request to meet a supplemental board. It’s worth a shot. As one who didn’t make the grade, it’s a shitty feeling, but not the end of your career. If you choose to stay in, find the job that’s best for you and your family. And realistically, unless you can earn a APZ DP, your not getting promoted. It’s an imperfect, brutal system.
  25. If you look at the past stats on AFPC, having the DP is what’s important. If your IPZ or 3APZ, doesn’t really matter, just having the DP is vital. Good luck brother
