  1. Ditto, Mine has been up there since 12 Feb.
  2. "Conduction some civilian training" ...good luck on your ATP Got a question for you all, someone in the office said now that the waiver authority has been delegated to AFPC, you must pull your VSP and resubmit under the new guidelines. Has anyone done this? Had anyone (11M) been approved VSP yet and this is what they did or was your app the original one from back in Feb?
  3. Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!
  4. I've heard a ton of people balk about this, has anyone actually filed an IG complaint yet? If not, stop threatening it. If so, let's hear how it went down. I love how everyone turned on each other so quickly. AFPC on their 2 day vacation is probably sitting back, feet up, waiting for us to take care of this ourselves and then will claim credit.
  5. not taken personal at all and you are correct, 10% truth and of course I am not going to miss a suspense or submit crap work, just makes more work for other people and thats not my motto, i try to make peoples job easier if i can. but i also find it more interesting reading everyone's situation vs. developing another COA for the OG that will never get implemented (thats why there is a door to the office) and with 5 ADOs in the office, there really isnt much that I cant chaff off to the guy who kinda gives a damn. and there is plenty of mentoring going on to the CPs, i am always going to tell them what i f00ked up and how to not make the same mistakes and how to prepare for this storm when it comes their time. if we just let them figure it out on their own then they are going to end up like the people we dont want to work with. thats why I wanted to be a t-6 IP vs a t-1 IP, i wanted them young (STS) so i could teach them how to fly like i wanted them to fly, before they were tainted. And I forgot to say, trunk monkey, you have a 7 day suspense, so its either 7 day opt or sign is my impression.
  6. funny thing, if they broke up 365s into 60-120 day deployments, you know how many guard reserve units would play? you know how many people would volunteer for them? instead they have to resort to this deployment schedule via the excuse that continuity and readiness requirements dictate it. i feel like the unit climate assessments are more of a tool to implement community practices we hate. oh you dont like CBTs? here is more of them, you dont like 365s? thats what all deployments will be like in the future, you dont like sitting at a desk all day? well we are stripping all flying hrs, all training will be done in a sim now I agree Altus, people think publicly bitching about this process will actually make it better or improve their situation or that knowing that someone got approved means they are going to. at least here it is more of an SA builder and place to vent so we dont drink ourselves into a stupor every night. but i will say, the amount of productivity towards my wings mission is significantly diminished. now i just search the web for jobs, work on my resumes and apps to places and constantly try to track my CMS case, hopefully i will be able to get on with my life soon jrobe, what unit did your buddy get hired on with and how long did his PC app process take if you dont mind asking him, also did he apply under the 1-1 or 2-1 program?
  7. WOW!! they are willing to rake your dead corpse over the coals just to get one more deployment out of you, and not a little 2 or 4 month vacation, but for 12 fricking months just in time for a couple months prior to 1 yr from your ADSC. Bravo indeed AFPC, dont show people where the door is, pull the fire alarm and force them to run for it.

  9. troof! i had a friend who had three years missing! i am currently going thru my last 10 yrs, cant wait to get to those 1,000 UPT sorties! 1.3 at a time!
  10. I see it more at super Sq bases that bend over for TACC, but like someone previously stated, have the ability to say no. Like at a UPT base, if it is going to be thunder-storming or chance of hail for the ENTIRE day, do you know how many CGOs will go wash your car and mow your lawn if you just canx for the day vs have everyone on Wx hold ALL DAY long? Or if TACC keeps sending down short notice taskings or the Wing sets a suspense for yesterday, be able to say NO. It goes hand in hand with creating extra work for no reason. Seen to many times the "What if so and so asked so and so?...Can you develop COAs that answer all the unknown what ifs?" Then these COAs sit in someones email for a couple months, never to be seen again. Too much busy work. Are leaders now empowered by seeing what crazy request they can come up with and how fast commanders say they can get it done? Guess what, it isnt the commanders that are doing the pointless work, the hard working individuals that are already tapped from flying all week and putting together RIF packages now have to drop everything and create ANOTHER COA presentation. Know what problems face commanders and flight commanders. These are your issues too. These are the hurdles you can help with. Have anonymous suggestions. Thats the only way you are going to be able to dispell rumors. You have seen it here with the complaining about how General Officers and the SecAF answer townhall questions, they beat around the bush, say a lot of big words and never really answer the question. Also people are too afraid of retribution, if you want the real story offer many anonymous avenues for feedback.
  11. just curious why you think this will do anything and what exactly the complaint is?
  12. All i hear is an excuse that you didn't show the big guns you claimed you were going to brandish. Way to let us all down. Go shack yourself! ;) Three holer, you were at Travis? That was hilarious when RM said, "sir, we are about to go Non mission capable due to funding!! And we need TP too!" Our sq/cc pulled us all in and was like, while I admire your passion for the subject, in no way are we close to Non mission capable. Just goes to show how they are so unwilling to call the baby ugly. Or when a short notice TACC tasking comes down and of course we aren't going to say no...god forbid! Call that guy in on leave, I don't care but don't negative reply to that tasking because I don't want the other sq to get it...or even worse, the reserves!!!! Man just playing catch up and you guys get butt hurt easily! If you are going to post something on here have the thick skin to take some licks and its not necessary for the three musketeers to come running to your aid when you get your PP schwacked for what seems like a ridiculous comment, even if someone takes it the wrong way. It's the INTERNET for gods sake. And FLY6584, everyone changes their mind and that is their right but don't say I was going to be 100% big blue but only drink half the cool aid, stop dangling one foot in. Do what you want, for the right reason, but go all in dude.
  13. I love how you all still have hope that pilots are going to get the VSP. Too much green beer
  14. How are the enlisted the most expensive? Just because we have more of them? Everyone knows the backbone of the AF is our enlisted force. Cut mostly officers...please.
  15. Who has beers with their wing/cc....on a weekend? Either at a UPT base or we have an insider folks!!! ;)
  16. The PSDMs do not govern the ADSC waivers, they just try to explain them, but do it horribly. the SECAF is the waiver authority. That's why the CSAF was meeting with her, to explain the situation and come up with a way ahead. I know it sucks sitting around to hear about your life, your future but I would rather wait another week and get the right info and right answers than the goat rope that was their first attempt.
  17. memo from CSAF is dropping tues. https://washingtonexaminer.com/veterans-affairs-purged-thousands-of-medical-tests-to-game-its-backlog-stats/article/2544580 so true
  18. "or maybe they've decided to not release any pilots at all?" DING DING DING. thats my guess. All of a sudden each and every one of us is needed.
  19. I worry about that everyday!! NAF, run with it
  20. well even if they give us a position number and for some reason our PC paperwork gets denied, they can pull the psn nmbr and give it to the guy off the street right? he is just sitting in alternate status until then, i dont think they will really be missing out and ive never seen a reserve unit really hurting for bodies unless they are running a full up ftu. As for the IR statement, you can go into your vsp package and look at the one you submitted to ensure it was the right one, it is the one off of 14-08 and is two pages and specifically mentions the vsp in it. To calm the waters a bit, rumor has is the CSAF is meeting with the Sec on Mon and releasing something hopefully by tues. Maybe party streamers, maybe more tears, but hopefully more resolution and firm answer instead of the run around. I for one dont care one way or the other, I still want to continue my service in the reserves. But I do care that out of the 85 pages on this topic there arent two people that were told the same information. Not one right answer, all wrong ones. If there was a "Stan/Eval" doing a supp eval on this event they would have a hay day. It would be enough to constitute a safety down day across the entire AF. This has consumed so much energy of so many people and we havent even gotten out of the starting gates yet, we are still warming up for the race. Think of the lost man hours across the AF on all of this, hours we could have spent working on our RIF packages...oh wait those arent due yet....working on our PRFs....oh wait those got pushed back. Speaking of which, if you arent a school select, why are we wasting the AFs time putting together a 2 below PRFs or even 1 below? more man hours just down the tube!
  21. So are you saying the chances are better to PC under the 2-1 versus the newly established 1-1 program? The ISR said if I get denied one I can immediately apply for the other one the next day. So wondering which one I go with first, looking to try and convert my remaining 15 months, for some reason 12 months is such a magical number with AFPC, my position is going away so I dont know why they would want to delay an inevitable process, I am giving them a solution to their problem a year in advance an individual in my Sq had to submit the correct one, it went through the process again and AFPC said they are holding them in a batch until 10 Mar.
  22. this is completely and utterly false. The entire point behind the Palace Chase program is to transfer your remaining commitment to the reserves. So unlike the LADSC waiver or VSP where you are ridding yourself of an ADSC entirely, you are merely transferring it to a different entity. I think they are mixing and matching the programs and dont have a clue. I would try to talk to a different bases ISR or their chief to ensure they are giving people the correct information. i hate it when people are misinformed, I especially hate it when they are misinformed by people who are supposed to be the subject matter experts. AHHHHHHHHHHHH
  23. Question for any 11Ms that have or know someone who have Palace Chased recently, what commitments are guys getting curtailed? 12 months, 16? wondering what will be the most likely to get approved balanced with what is the most is reasonable to put on the app?
  24. "Air Staff and AFPC experts are working aggressively to refine the eligibility criteria and provide accurate information as quickly as possible" ...so we can have the time to return more applications from officers that were under the impression, from our lack of clear guidance, they were eligible. And I'm pretty sure I'm not making general
