Wouldn't more customers entering the exchange encourage insurance companies to lower the premiums and deductibles in order to get those customers to choose their plan? Unless, of course, they're the only insurer in the area or there's collusion amongst the insurers. In turn, wouldn't that also encourage providers to choose those plans which are gaining more customers?

What the blacks did with that freedom is on them, I believe. If they've used that freedom to turn their nation into a shithole, that's their own fault- not his. I'll need more info to make my mind up.

That sentence sounded like speculation and/or editorial showmanship to me. Maybe someone called it out- not out of being emotionally distraught but because they knew it was in violation of the reg, or maybe someone(s) did get butthurt, or maybe this organization took it on their own to call it out. Now who's going to extremes? As I stated earlier in the thread I have a 32 inch waist and sit at 172 on a 6'0" frame... so I'm hardly what you would consider "overweight". I've just seen the effects of those that are pushing the waist measurement, the stress it causes them. They, and their leadership, ends up focusing on meeting some arbitrary standard rather than focusing on mission accomplishments and those results. Yes we're a military organization. But we're not grunts. We're not infantry. Most of us sit at a desk punching away at the computer as opposed to our other military brethren that are kicking in doors and sweeping villages. One job requires great physical shape, the other doesn't.

Japan isn't a surprise. Consider they have very limited natural resources and relied heavily on trade with the U.S. and European colonies to fuel their booming industrial economy. Throw in Roosevelt, who disliked the Japanese, and his economic sanctions and trade embargoes on Japan... it's easy to understand why they attacked us. You back them into a corner and cut off their lifeline the only other option is to strike out.

Then talk shit about them. Make sure to yawn as much as humanly possible. Make it noticeable. True story.

Re-evaluating the waist measurement on the PT test. It's not a concern of mine- I'm at 32; but I know some dude's this was their biggest stressor.

A couple things I like, but before I list them I'll preface this by saying I think health insurance should only be needed for catastrophic care and that routine medical care should be priced so that the vast majority of Americans can afford it out of pocket. That's what the ACA should have been about, rather than what it is about. 1- Insurers can't deny coverage for pre-existing conditions. If medical care was cheap enough to afford without insurance, I wouldn't be in favor of this as much as I am now under our current health system. 2- Tax credits for small businesses to offer insurance to employees. 3- No lifetime limits 4- The 80/20 rule

I think the blame she's putting out there on the state is for the errors their exchange was giving her. Look at it this way- McDonald's is selling a Big Mac for $5; the employee ringing you up pushes the wrong key and tells you it'll be $1. So you go to pay and he say's "oops, my bad, I hit the wrong key. It's actually $3.50 (while pressing the quarter pounder key). Realizing he screwed up again he says "I'm really bad at this... the actual price is $5 for the burger you want." Who are you going to be mad/frustrated at? The kid who couldn't get his shit right and give you the correct information? Or McDonald's for pricing their burger at $5?

Ok- just to clear the air, AGAIN, I am not a fan of Obama. Yes I defend him when absolute bullshit is thrown his way. He has enough bad policies out there that there's no need to make shit up- which happens a lot. I appear to be an ardent supporter of him on this forum because most everyone on here is so far anti-obama that anyone who calls BS on BS gets labeled a supporter. And because I don't dogpile on with everyone else on every little thread that has to do with him. So if you want to know my actual view on a particular subject- ask me. I'd be more than willing to give you an answer.

Did you read the quotes by the ret Generals? “People I’ve spoken to would like to see..." "I talk to a lot of folks who don’t support where Obama is taking the military..." "I hear from many off the record who are upset with the current military leadership..." A lot of "I hear" and "I talk to" yet no "I witnessed" "I can show proof" or "I can verify". Sounds like gossip to me.

Because unless they are in and actually observe what is happening first hand, everything else is speculation and gossip. Or contrived stories for the sake of an article on a site that is known for making up stories.

I may appear as if I almost always support Obama because I look at things with a neutral eye first, whereas 99.69% of the members here come in with a predetrmined mindset on the president. And Obama was elected when?
