  1. So you're problem with the Post Office isn't the Post Office but rather Congress. "Congress, in a 2006 law, required the Postal Service to make annual payments to fund 75 years' worth of future retiree health benefits in 10 years." Try sending a card top your mom with Fed Ex... see if you can get that done for under $5. Notices were sent by most schools to the students prior to the election.
  2. Smart little copiers. Let the U.S. blow the huge amounts of cash to invent, design, engineer, build, test and field a product then come along and copy it.
  3. You can thank Saint Abraham Lincoln for signing the forerunner to our current progressive tax system into law (Revenue Act of 1862). Yet another one of his great deeds.
  4. Yep- good call.
  5. No need to reinvent the wheel. Find a system in place that works and use it.
  6. You mean the Lifeline program that was expanded in 2008 under the Bush administration to include mobile phone coverage? You people do realize the Lifeline program only offers discounted phone service, not actual cell phones—any free cell phone would be provided and paid for by a private company, not by the Lifeline program or funds from the universal service fee. I particularly like how you try to equate the $8 Bushphone with a car... nice touch. https://www.radioshac...ductId=13097267
  7. A bit off topic but... https://www.liveleak.com/view?i=55a_1353810189
  8. Nah... more because he was an emo hipster.
  9. Sure-- if all landmine fields are in dry lake beds with no obstacles, hills, and the winds are constant.
  10. Not being a fan ≠ hatred. I acknowledge his overall impact on civil liberties, I just don't follow along with the hype of him being a saint.
  11. Just curious if the article you quoted is counting capitol gains as income or if it is just using wages.
  12. I'm not a big fan of Lincoln (the man, not the movie) myself. Suspending Habeus Corpus, imprisoning those that spoke out against him, freeing the slaves in the South while still allowing some Northern states to carry on, extensive land grants to the railroads, placing judges on house arrest when they ruled against him, etc. He wasn't the saint Hollywood makes him out to be.
  13. Are you serious? Wonderbread motherfucker! I'm still trying to decide what dry ass bread I'm going to be eating until some buyer comes along and starts production again.
  14. Speculation... You haven't seen his wives.
  15. Since I feel like being a nice guy I'll help you out. Start by reading the first page of this thread... specifically starting with post #7 by Rainmain.
  16. No? Then why is this section called this:
  17. That was, most likely, a part of the contract to maintain the housing when it was turned over to civilians. That's not the same as having a team of enlisted guys to do your yard work, wash your car, iron your clothes, etc
  18. Why can't the four star hire his own lawn guys out of his own pocket if he wants his yard taken care of for him?

  20. Ugh. They're not upset at the death of civilians and children on both sides... but suggesting you might shut down the internet crosses the line.
  21. See, this is where we differ. You only blame one side for the collapse, whereas I blame all that were involved. Capitalism isn't looting the payroll to give the CEO a 240% raise while in Chapter 11. The laborers weren't responsible for flagging sales and outdated products. The laborers didn't mismanage the company. Yet they are to shoulder ALL the blame for the demise of Hostess? They were the straw that broke the camel's back, but there were other strains prior to that straw.
  22. One example of inept management- ask for major concessions from labor while looting the payroll for the executives. https://online.wsj.co...3512506050.html A good read on what went on behind the scenes: How Hostess Failed: Hedge Funds vs Unions
  23. I guess squadron leadership isn't to blame when the squadron is a fuck up. No, more like down with inept management. Interstate Bakeries filed for Chapter 11 protection in 2004 prior to this bankruptcy... I was unaware Obamacare was retroactive to 8 year ago.
