    One thing that is often overlooked is how much foreign debt we OWN. As of 2010 that number was $6.8T- that's how much other nations owe us. That's more than what we owe to foreign nations. To put it in OP's terms: We owe $142K on the Visa card but we have a $68K credit on the Mastercard.

    I'd prefer if the security officers protecting federal offices didn't have any ammunition in their firearms. Lets see, 174,000 rounds by 41 federal buildings equals roughly 4200 rounds per building. Estimate anywhere from 5-10 security officers for 24/7/365 coverage... sounds about the right amount of ammo for routine use and emergencies.

    Are you denying there are people who confuse Sikhs and Muslims? Are you denying people have a problem with Muslims? Did I say this shooter was one of those people? No. I answered his questions as to "who has a problem with Sikhs". BTW, the ATF's preliminary assessment is it's domestic terrorism and the shooter is ex military.

    Short answer: No. It's only illegal to videotape somebody if there's a reasonable expectation of privacy. For example: in your own house, in someone's bathroom, at the tanning salon, etc I'm pretty sure there's cameras in that Chick-Fil-A for security reasons, so there's no reasonable expectation of privacy when the company is also filming you. If you're in public anyone can videotape you as long as it's not done in a lewd manner (i.e. up a female's skirt).

    Not much of a story to tell. I was driving around the hammerhead on my way to work, watching the E3 take off headed away from me, saw them bank left when they were airborn (as per usual at that strip), watched it just "slide down" into the trees while still banked and then the subsequent fireball.

    I was in Misawa this weekend. I flew out a couple hours prior to this incident so it hit somewhat close to home. I was a witness to Yukla 27 and don't wish to be anywhere near another accident again. That incident still haunts me.
