He says he wants $600 for it, but I don't think it's worth but maybe $500. I haven't seen it yet so I don't know the condition. I'd use it mainly for plinking and SHTF weapon. If it is what I'm picturing it's not really what I want in an AR which is a rail system, collapseable stock, etc. If I'm going to spend a few hundred bucks swapping out parts on it to get what I want wouldn't it be better just to build what I want from the start or should I modify the recivers using them as the base?

Any gouge on Essential Arms J-15? Know a guy trying to offload one on me. Don't know much about the model or manufacturer.
  3. I didn't say I thought you should be... I just said the option wasn't there. BTW I voted Vertigo's the douche.
  4. The option of "Ban Kuma" is missing from my poll. Please fix.
  5. This thread needs more Polls.
  6. Why does AMC bill for moving cargo and pax? Why does Services charge for meals for single troops? Why does one function charge another? Probably because these things aren't being produced by the AF (i.e. fuel) so they have to purchase from outside agencies. I think they would like to be reimbursed to buy more of that item rather than not being able to supply any more of once their stock is depleted. If you're talking that ALL of the AF should fall under one big pot o' money, well then it would be hard to spot waste wouldn't it?
  7. No- their inputs will be counteracted by the openly gay females.
  8. LOL Not retarded, just a vegetable. And be careful, you don't want to incur the wrath of Palin for using that word.
  9. Who is Kuma?
  10. And that is why I don't go jogging.
  11. I think they get that, but realize it can't change with the snap of their fingers, so in the interim they ask to please pass your tail number.
  12. Sage advice. And for the love of God if you don't get a full time slot don't go posting a hurt feelings report on facebook and other social networking sites. (Yes, I know someone who did that - wasn't good).

I would think that if SWAT responded then someone in the Police department did some investigating and decided that sending the SWAT team would be a safe, appropriate response. If the mental evalution turned up nothing then I'm sure the person will be getting his guns back. I think it's a little early to tell what came out of the evaluation and we may never hear anymore on this.
  14. The gift isn't coming from a foreign state. It's coming from the Nobel Peace Prize committee, which is not a foreign state nor a representative of a foreign state. It's members are picked by the Norwegian Parliament, yes, but active parliamentarians cannot sit on the committee, unless they have explicitly stated their intent to step down shortly. Like others said... there's plenty of other Obama bashing threads this can be taken too without mucking up a good Foglesong bashing thread.
  15. It's HIS money, not the nations. Thanks for playing.

So it's bad when people see warning signs and ignore them (Ft Hood comes to mind) and bad when people see warning signs and do something about it? It would be one thing if they arrested the guy or just seized his weapons for no reason... but they didn't do that, they took him to get a mental health examination. Much rather have this guy get looked at then risk him going into work and shooting up 30 of his co-workers. If a muslim man had been making statements about how he hates the fact that American soldiers are in Arab lands suddenly starts buying ammonia nitrate... would you not expect law enforcement agencies to look at this guy?
  17. LOL @ someone railing against the president for donating $125K to education scholarships.
  18. So you're the one requesting. They're the ones doing the approving or disapproving of the request. In other words they're running the refueling.

In late 2008/2009, SIG Arms imported a limited quantity of German made P228 pistols, but with the more modern P229 railed frame (basically, a P228R). These are said to be US military contract overrun weapons and many have frames marked "US" and "M11" (though these markings are visible, they are etched over for sale to civilians) although no railed M11s are in service with the United States military. I haven't see one personally. Will let you know if I do.
  20. It's there - just look for it.
  21. Well I liked it... BUT i watched it right after it came out and no one had heard of it. I wasn't expecting anything great. It felt like I was going to watch some indie movie and was pleasantly surprised. Yes I found somethings lacking (like you said running through the streets of Iraq in civvies). But remember, the guy who wrote the screenplay was a reporter embedded with these EOD guys who then went on to wrote an article for Playboy that turned into the movie. It was based on real people and their real stories. The writer is getting sued by a MSgt Sarver who claims the movie is based on him and he wasn't compensated. Anyways I liked it because I wasn't expecting anything good when I watched it. Had I watched it after all the Oscar buzz I probably would have been disappointed as well.
  22. 2 I own a Toyota as well, and when I look at getting my next vehicle I will first look at Toyota. This recall hasn't changed my perceptions of the company and their vehicles at all. If anything the bad press they've received will surely encourage them to correct whatever engineering/manufacturing mistakes that led to these problems in the first place. In the 13 years I've owned my Toyota I have spent under $500 in maintenance on it (not counting oil changes). I've only had to replace brake pads and a starter on it. Coming up on 200K miles. Most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. I had a Ford Explorer that the gas pedal would stick down on occasionally. After the first .69 seconds of "oh shit what do I do?" a smart person realizes that if you disengage the transmission you will stop accelerating.
  23. Linkie Supposedly a photo of the area-
  24. Sure... when it's the exception and not the norm. This chick made it a routine thing, which undermines the junior officers ability to lead his/her enlisted personnel. Look at it this way. If an E is watching his OIC get berated and put down on a routine basis by the CC then eventually that E is going to start seeing his OIC as a regular fuck-up... even if they are not. This woman is instilling an environment where the E's are seeing their O's as incompetents. So when the shit hits the fan and a real world scenario is developing, why would that E listen to his OIC? It's obvious the OIC is a fuck up... the O6 made sure the E's knew it on a regular basis.
