  1. The only BMW I'd own:
  2. Well considering it doesn't start for another 3 weeks I'd say not for awhile.
  3. I wasn't intentionally slamming AMD... I understand thats a pretty tough gig. I was just trying to put up a bit of defense for the ATOC guys. When I was in ORAT I asked one of the ATOC guys what their mog was... he said it was the example I used (3XC 130 or 1xC17+1xC130). Its been a few years so my numbers may not be entirely accurate- but it's close, I remember they only had 13 people to work the whole ATOC at the time for 24 hour coverage. Anyways my point was I have video showing a 130, 2 x IL76, and a C17 parked on their only 4 parking spots, another C17 on the taxiway waiting for someone to leave so he can block in and another 130 on short final. They only had enough manning/equipment to really work one plane at a time... I just shook my head and wondered what the hell were they thinking. At the time they were truly overwhelmed, but they pushed through and got the work done. The good thing was all the AF crews were pretty reasonable and understood the situation, the russians not so much.
  4. ::cough:: AMD ::cough:: When ATOC has a working mog of 3 C-130s or one C17 and one C130 but AMD frags 2 C17s, 3 C130s, and an IL76 all coming in within a 30 minute window SOMEONE will have to wait. I believe the ATOC guys are probably sweating their balls off as well out the back of some other plane and will sweat their balls off at the back of your plane as soon as they can.
  5. They're holed up in a compound on the south side of Pope. You won't know they're air force though, they wear civvies and beards. Good luck trying to get in!

Seems the ammunition supply is finally catching up. Was walking around the local WalMart today and as I was passing through the sporting section I noticed the clerk unloading a shopping cart full of ammo. I asked him if he happen to have any 45 auto in there and sure enough he had a couple cases worth of WWB. Picked up two 100 round boxes at $29 a piece (great price!!) 200 rounds for $60 aint bad at all.
  7. This is an AVIATION forum... where people talk about things related to AVIATION. Get over yourself jackass.
  8. Chuck- True... but it's hard to make progress when we're going one brick at a time and the shoes are replacing that one brick with another 3 feet section of wall.
  9. Good job answering a 4 1/2 year old question.
  10. It's a law that your POV has to be locked now? WTF??!!???!

I know they can handle the load (sts). A couple months ago I was doing some research on the XD and +P loads because that was all that Cabela's had on the shelf in 45 ACP. I was thinking I ultimately didn't buy the +P because it could void the warranty... but I may be wrong. I may of not bought it due to the excessive wear it causes. I'll have to check my warranty when I get home but you may be right and I'm just confused.

Aren't you worried about voiding the warranty using +P loads?

Wow... government intrusion at its finest. Make sure you ask to see a copy of the search warrant when they come to "see the receivers and PS90". I finally got my ammo in from Cabela's. It was only 40 days past it's original delivery due date.

  16. Hey dumbass, maybe you want to do some research on my political beliefs before spewing your obviously ignorant mouth off; especially on my stance on the GM thing and the closing of dealerships. I've backed the pres on some things and have slammed him on others (the GM thing being one of them). Go choke yourself with a bag of dicks. My argument was that it was the FBI that was doing the mirandizing and not the military... which is what seemed to of towed the topic to the Posse Comitatus Act. The Congressman said what he saw was the FBI and the CIA (please show me where he said it was US military doing this). I'm not arguing whether it's right or wrong to read them these rights. I'm just pointing out the facts of the original topic- that it's the FBI doing it and not the military. That and the fact that you're so stupid that you believe the miranda rights only apply to "AMERICAN CITIZENS". The Detainee Treatment Act of 2005, while not allowing a standard habeas corpus review, provides that each detainee "has a right to appeal to our civilian-justice system. — specifically, to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. And if that appeal is unsuccessful, the terrorist may also seek certiorari review by the Supreme Court." Now if the terrorist does appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals or the Supreme Court for that matter -wouldn't it be nice to know that their conviction isn't going to get overturned because Sotomayor maybe believes that they should have these rights afforded to them? Just playing devil's advocate here... seems like a possible scenerio doesn't it? Just like how the Military Commission Act of 2006 was overturned by the Supreme Court in 2008.
  17. So we don't mirandize foreigners who commit bank robberies in the U.S.? Only American citizens huh? How does the cop know the suspects nationality before interviewing them? Magic 8 ball? Isn't it the FBI, a federal law enforcement agency, the ones doing the mirandizing and not the U.S. military? According to the Justice Department, "There has been no policy change nor blanket instruction for FBI agents to Mirandize detainees overseas. While there have been specific cases in which FBI agents have Mirandized suspects overseas, at both Bagram and in other situations, in order to preserve the quality of evidence obtained, there has been no overall policy change with respect to detainees." Sounds to me like it's a few rare cases that are slam dunks and the feds are taking EVERY precaution in order to insure a conviction. I don't see the harm in that.
  18. SF = Security Forces as in Security Forces Squadron = SFS; Spec Ops = SOF You are correct about the contract security though... they shouldnt be called SF; it just demeans them (the contractors not SF).

I had a drink while in PR that they called a Cubajito... it used dark rum in a mojito mixture. Was pretty decent... I think they used Bacardi 8 in it.
  20. I have nothing relevant to add so I'll ridicule you for spelling sergeant wrong twice. That's the standard for this community, right?

Ok, I'm pretty cheezed off right now. I ordered 500 rounds of .45 ACP through the Cabela's website on May 2nd. The website said expect delivery in 10-14 days. Ok so I figured I'd get my ammo by the 18 at the latest. Well I went TDY to Puerto Rico for a week and when I get back (it was the 20th) I notice I didn't get a call saying my ammo was in. So I drop by Cabela's to see what the status of my order was... maybe they forgot to call. The girl tells me "Sorry, looks like it's on backorder until the 27th. You should see it in another week." Ok no biggie... I can wait one more week I guess. Expecting to go pick up my order either today or tomorrow I open up my email this morning and have this from Cabela's: WTF! Since when does it take over a month to fill one order of 500 rounds? It pisses me off even more that Cabelas is advertising they can get the ammo in a two week time frame when they obviously know they cannot.
