  1. Nah... Debbie Does Dallas, Behind the green Door... what about those?
  2. Marty, something must have gone wrong with the time space continuum! We’re in an alternate 2012; one where the Shoe’s are all powerful and controlling. Where one butt hurt individual is powerful and rules with an extremely stupid perspective. No, we have to go back to 1947 and repair the damage!
  3. That's what I loved about working ARM end at EOR. Sit in one of those old ass bread van EOR trucks when the jets launch. The noise will rattle the fillings out of your teeth and cause you to need a pacemaker to re-adjust your heart rate. Awesome beyond words! There's lots of stuff I don't miss about being retired, but there is some things I do.
  4. That shit's funny. I don't care who you are.
  5. Spelling and grammer count. For example: My Uncle Jack's off the horse. My uncle jacks off the horse. These things matter.
  6. This tells me the member is more focused on their personal goals than taking care of the Air Force's fundamental educational expectations. Some leaders offer guidance and encourage their subordinates to transfer their baccalaureate degree courses to CCAF so they get credit. But again, this is another step that reinforces the notion that the CCAF should be an afterthought and not at the forefront. Damn straight! They should be focused on personal goals. The Crunchy Chicken And Fries degree is like a mini version AAD on the officer side. Just cause some guy CLEP'd some classes don't make him a better crew chief, bomb loader candlestick maker. Yes, a bachelor’s degree should be the ultimate goal for those E’s perusing a degree. For The CCAF is a joke and worthless outside the Air Force. A guy could have a PhD in quantum physics but it don’t mean sh*t to Big Blue without a CCAF in their job. Believe me, having a CCAF don’t mean dick other than brownie points for quarterly awards or promotion to E-8/9. This guy is a total tool. EDIT: To a bigger font so old guys with short arms could read it.
  7. So she pro-rated the cost; just like getting per diem, BAH or other entitlements. Sounds like she had a handle on her customer base (STS) and adjusted the price margin to the going market. I guess she passed her CLEP exam for economics. (CLAP exam is a whole nother' story) Must have been interesting conversation rating that girl out... "So, Lt Snuffy, exactly how do you know that A1C Yummypants is charging more for O's than E's?" "Well sir, ahh ummm..."
  8. What'dda wanna know? If you got little ones avoid living in District 81 if possible. Mead schools, while a little bit of a drive to the base, are the way to go. You gotta pick what you feel is best, but Spokane's South Hill; above oh say 18th Ave, is a nice area but a tad on the expensive side. Darn near anything you could want (shopping, restaurants, bars, etc…) is on the South Hill you could stay up there for weeks if you had to. Commissary & BX are small but nice. Base housing is nothing to write home about but acceptable. Summertime awesome with 40 some lakes; some huge, some real small, within a short drive from the base. You'll be here just in time for the Harvest Festival at Greenbluff pretty cool event where all the orchards up on the north side of town have events like corn mazes, deals on fresh picked tree fruit, awesome fresh cooked pumpkin doughnuts, food, you get the idea. Real family friendly kind of stuff. PM me if you have specific questions.
  9. What?! This was when?! I spent (did) time at PSAB and heard nothing of this. Swing shift MX guys getting the short end of the stick (STS) again. Damn it. And another group of hard working entrapenures put out of business by overburdening government regulations. What's wrong with this country? EDIT: Because I still can't spell.
  10. Agree 100% with both of you. Great movie Saw the movie at the base theater while in Germany working on then 4 year old Eagles. That base is now closed and one of the jets now belongs to the Oregon Air Guard.
  11. The Few by Alex Kershaw story of the American Pilots who risked jail and loss of passport/citizenship to sneak into England and fly in RAF squadrons during the Battle of Britan while the USA was still trying to stay out of the war. These guys flew in "regular" RAF squadrons LONG before the Eagle Squadrons were set up. EDIT: Spelling and Eagle Sq info.
  12. I saw that report! Pretty cool.
  13. That and the C-17 is full of MX guys, tools and parts as at least one of those Eagles will hard break when they RON somewhere off station. Spent too many years working Eagles, this is closer to the truth than anyone will admit. To the Eagle Keepers!
  14. When I was outprocessing for retirement I heard of a story about some bitch who was in the process of divorcing military husband number three and working on hijacking his retirement! WTF? Something is seriously wrong with the system. You can't tell me this chick just had a string of bad luck with military guys; this bitch knew what she was doing and was fvcking these guys for her own gain IMO. NOTE: I know sometimes things just don't work out for lots of reasons which results in divorce and the ex-spouse is awarded a percentage of the military members retirement, but this bitch was in a leauge all her own.
  15. You got off (STS) cheap. I know several dudes that lost 50%. One guy was so bitter at the bitch that he bailed at 19.5 years just so she couldn't get a dime. Gotta be really pissed off to do that one seeing how you're really hurting yourself at the same time. Wow.
  16. Applied for CCW permit weeks ago still awaiting for the damn thing to show up in the mail. Will pack once it shows. (All STS's as req'd)
  17. Yes, always an open parking spot and the easy access to the food with the hot dog/drink combo for a buck fifty (those of us on a fixed income really need that deal) is the icing on the cake. Now you kids get off my damn lawn!
  18. Shout out to no one in particular: Found a nice 2010 Heritage Softtail Classic for $16K with 17,800 miles; might be a lot, but a trip or two to Strugis would rack up the miles really quick. Any inuts/feedback on this bike r.e.. overall good/bad etc...? Hopefully from current/former owners. Awaiting spears from the non H-D crowd. Thanks.
  19. Or at least retired SNCO straphangers along for the ride....
  20. Yes, but seeing its Costco ya gotta buy a twin pack of 55 gal drums. But at least its shrink wrapped on a pallet for easy transport.
  21. No one should be that indispensable. So what happens when you PCS/separate/die/go AWOL? Do we just throw our hands in the air and give up? This isn’t meant as a slam on you, but a comment on poor management/leadership that allows a culture of “only Snuffy can do that” to even exist. Well, what happens when Snuffy CAN’T for reasons beyond his or anyone else’s control? What 'cha do then, cause ya can't call Ghostbusters? EDIT: Had ot adjust micro font to some thing old guys can read without glasses and/or longer arms.
  22. Big giant "2" on that. Watched re-runs almost everyday after school growing up. Always loved the way the had to reign in Deputy Barney Fife when Barney went on some crazy rant/binge/craze. Farewell Andy.
