Throw in one of theose snack-bar frozen burritos and a diet cola and it sounds like a normal day in the weapons loading shop at local AMU/AMXS/AGS or whatever the f*ck it's called these days.

A-men brother! Leadership expected all the slugs to take the money and run when it was just the opposite. Many talented guys bailed and we were left with a vacuum of knowledge in the middle ranks (SSgt-TSgt). Nothing like being a weapons load crew chief with zero experience on a given MDS and being given two fresh from the schoolhouse three-level kids for a load crew and being expected to train said kids on the jet when you don't know squat about it yourself. Gotta love those 12+ hour days! INFO NOTE: Weapons guys can work anything with a gun/wepaons system we're not "locked" into any given MDS like some other MX AFSCs. You could PCS 5 times and work 5 different aircraft.

3, Freaking awesome!

A-men brother! Take me down to Sontag City where the girls are sluts and they got no t*tty. Or so goes the song....

AMF. I grew up in PA... I can say it. Another chance to even up the numbers ala the special election in Mass a week or two ago?

How bout that half-time show? Not bad, but they were surley outshined by these guys. A true blast from the past! Read all about them in this link... https://www.wral.com/news/local/story/115214/

Similar incident... almost. Arm end EOR in AK approx late summer 1996ish. 4 Ship of Hogs show up, first two go cold gun (for an A/A sortie, just like the schedule said) number 3 goes hot gun. Mmmmm weird, but maybe there was a last minute change. (I know, strange; but it's been known to happen.) Then number four goes cold gun, so I ask Mr Pilot of # 4 if # 3 was was out to play with everyone else and if so why did he go hot gun. Four calls three asks WTF and then requests that we return to # 3 safe his gun. Three was not a happy camper. I'll bet 3 bought a lot of beer that night. And although grateful for what we did, for not a drop to the weapons crew who thought to ask WTF.

Local news reported this morning (0700 Pacific time) that the NCAA is gonna hook em with the tickes.

The same guy authored the book Badass knocked it out in no time. Great read, lots of the same type of "write ups" for other Badasses. Someone needs to submit Robin Olds to this guy and get him featured as BAOTW. Heck his Wiki page, properly tweeked for Basassness, would work great. (Yes I know it's Wiki, but everything on there I read from a "legitimate" source, its just all consolidated on the Wiki page.) EDIT because I still can't spell... damn it.

Awesome!

More likely this d-bag CC has set new standard of stupid and all following bases/units/ice cream stands will follow suit. "Base X's reflective policy was lauded by the IG so we must do the same to avoid getting a write up " Either that or they will set the bar even higher (er, ahh... lower); no civilian clothing, NEO all dependends off base for the length of the exercise, close the BX, bowling alley, Class VI, GO #1 for "adult" pubs, etc... Just think of the possibilities. WTF is wrong with the AF today? EDIT: Me not spell so good.

"2" on everything. Mead (Norhtside of Spokane) and the Central Valley (Spokane Valley not far from Idaho boarder) while both a bit of a commute to the base have the best schools in my opinion and from what I've been told (my kid attends a small private school, not public, and worth every dime IMO). Spangle would be cool, but very small town in the middle of farm country south of town if that's your thing. OBTW, don't even think about living the the area of town called Hillyard.

Pretty typical send off for a maintenance guy, seen hundreds of em'. Good clean crew chief fun, but I agree with Flyboy 2181, it could make for problems for this guy down the road given his new career choice. Oh and Jeremy, good luck and kick a$$ at UPT.

Hong Kong. Red light district. No extra charge for the wife to join in/spectate. Shucka shucka pow wow. Long time, short time twenty dollar.

Kenny, Cliff Canyon as in the apartments? If so, they're fairly new and an easy commute to base, area not bad. Manito: Anywhere on the west side of Spokane's South Hill above about 14th St or so is the cat's a$$. Something off the High Drive (yes, that's actually the street's name) in the 57th St. area near Manito Country Club near oh say 44th and the High Drive is very good too. Comstock as in the park, farther up the hill and not far from Manito Park, again very nice neighborhood. Not cheap but nice. West Central, if its where I'm thinking (and I culdbe wrong) = Beruit (aka "Felony Flats"), nuff said. Northtown, as in near the mall? YGBSM. Now the Northside (there's a difference) near Whitworth Univ/Wandemere is also nice. Shadle Park area has seen better days, as has the area near the VA Hospital/Joe Albi stadium. Other areas to check into: Medical Lake, Cheney (Eastern Washington Univ. ) and Spoakne Valley i.e. Liberty Lake. little bit of a commute but nice area and only mear minutes to Cabella's Mega Store in Post Falls, ID. To get a picture (sts) of Spokane check out the TV station's website at khq.com I think you can link into crime rate stats from there. Not trying to scare you but it can give you an idea of where you wanna leave mamma and the little Kennys while you're out doing the j-o-b. Edit casue me not spell so good. 2x.

Beer: Almost anything as long as its cold. Spent too many years bending wrenches and loading bombs to be too picky. Scotch: Famous Grouse Asbach Uralt: "The Great Brandy from the Rhine," Soju, in those giant glass "combat" bottles from the early 80s. The empties made great bowling pins when used with actual bowling balls. Ahhhh Korea in the Regan years, awesome place. Don't really like soju, but killed too many brain cells with that stuff not to give it a nod here. Soju, like Agent Orange before it, really should be banned for GIs under the Geneva Convention. Korea folks, back me up on this.

You are correct sir! However the in -8 you can taxi to/from EOR with the canopy open like a Walter Mitty Joe Cool pseudo P-51 driver; kinda hard to do with the -4's tip over. Add in those of us that are a little highter on the "bubba scale" need the larger cockpit (sts) the -8 affords.

So it's been like SEVEN YEARS and they haven't cleaned that sh*t up yet? (Granted, cleaning lava has got to be a royal bitch) But Holy crap, they could have moved that stuff by hand in that amount of time. In WWII they built whole airfields in China/Burma by hand in a matter of months. WTF is the problem here? Oh wait... it’s a UN run operation, that explains EVERYTHING. But I'm sure they could have got the UN (ahem... the US taxpayer) to fund a clean-up under ICAO, UNHCR, UNICEF or some other bullsh*t UN operation.

Why not? Seems the junior senators from New York and Illinois seemed to do pretty good power/influence wise in their freshman years.

Great, give em more ideas. What about us retired folk? They gonna have disposal RB dispenser, that works like a box of kleenex (pull one out (sts) and another pops into its place) at the front gate? Perhaps it really is only a matter of time where RB usage will be mandatory 24/7 in or out of uniform, on duty/off, on leave, drinking beer, wooing juicy girls, etc... But excellent point on the uniform vs. civies point of view.

Wouldn't that be awesome! If it is, I'm gonna grab a cold one and some popcorn this'll be good.
