That's awesome, I would love to see the reaction this would have MPF wide; Forced attention to detail by personal accountability.

A Nav in the 20 to 24 TIS is more than likely a LT Col. to Col. rank, So wouldn't they be serving in paper pushing Jobs (Staff Positions) rather than flying centric positions? I guess that the Bonus is for that crowd to continue to fly in that rank rather than serve in staff positions. I would "Guess" that in another two to three years we will see the the ACP being offered to Navs again after their initial commitment.

Does anyone know what effect cutting CSO's (NAV) ACP has done to their moral, retention etc...? Are CSO's jumping ship?

I was told that once on active duty they will just put you on meds and give you a waiver and its not that big of a deal. However that is once you get your FC1 and on active duty. And again this is just what I was told by a Med Tech where I did my 5day BP check. And as gay as it sounds the "streeseraser" really works for white coat syndrome if that's your problem. Good luck

Well when i was about 12 years old growing up in NYC when it snowed heavily we used go "Sketching", which is holding on to the back of a truck or car and "Ghetto Skiing". My "Sketching" days in NYC were short because my mom caught me one day and beat my ass right in front of the whole neighborhood; it did wonders for my "street cred". ( "street cred"is important growing up in NYC it could be the difference of getting beat up very day after school) Was it a smart thing to do? no way, but then again I was a little kid; when I see these grown men doing this type of stuff I can't help but wanting to see them hurt themselves. Anyway my point is that if parent's would exercise a good "ass whipping" to reprimand their children we wouldn't have so many Darwin award winners in the US.

There are several ways to set up the test: 1. Talk to an Air Force recruiter if your interested in going the "Officer Training School" route. 2. Talk to a Reserve Officer Training Corp (ROTC) Unit Admissions Officer if your interested in the ROTC route. 3. Talk to a Guard unit Recruiter if your interested in going the "Academy of Military Science" (AMS) route. 4. Talk to a Reserve recruiter if you interested in joining the reserves. 5. If you are already Active duty, a dependent or have access to a Base Education Office, they can set you up to take the AFOQT . 6. Call up the local MEPS

The Enlisted Assignment swap does exist. At least it did when I was enlisted in 2006. It was on AMS and was like a craigs list with people requesting assignment swaps. I've seen it done twice and both times money was involved behind the scene; One airman pays the other $XXXX amount of dollars so they can get that assignment. I know that for the swap to work the Air force can not incur any expense. The Airman must also take personal leave to move. I'm surprised that option is not available to officers.

That is absolutely the best USAF commercial I've ever seen. I really liked the way they focused on our service heritage.

Jcxp15, Thanks for the info about the waiver. I don't have hypertension according to my last reading at the clinic, Systolic in the mid 120's and Diastolic mid 70's in both arms. My civilian MD recommended I get a Relaxing Aid called "STRESSERASER" and it worked. The "STRESSERASER" is like a video game and teaches you how to breath in response to your pulse and biofeedback (whatever that means). I sat for about 15 minutes with my eyes closed breathing in slowly counting each exhale to about 7 seconds following the "Stresseraser's" beeps. So tomorrow I will go in again and hopefully will be that last BP check with a average sub 140/90. Thanks again for the info, knowing that at least it's possible to get a waiver puts me even more at ease even though I don't think I will need it.

So I have been having the Blood pressure spike every time I go on base to get my BP checked! My 5 day BP checked has turned into two weeks of BP checks everyday. Luckily the Base clinic med tech NCO has been more than willing to help me out till I get the required numbers. Currently My average is 144/93 on the left and 142/91 on the right arm. I can not believe that I'm about to loose my CSO slot because of this "white coat syndrome" . Does anyone know if there is a waiver for high blood pressure? Or has any body ever received a waiver for high blood pressure? I know there is a waiver for rated officers but the regs don't say anything about the Initial FC1A. Any insight would be highly appreciative. Thanks

So from what I have read in this thread is that if a Pilot candidate washes out of IFS he/she is often or sometimes given the opportunity to go CSO. What happens to the CSO trainee that washes out? Are they just pushed along to UNT as well ? Are instructors easier on CSO trainees at IFS? If not, it doesn't seem right that a Pilot trainee washes out and gets pushed through to CSO but a CSO washes out and gets retrained in a non-rated AFSC. Can someone that knows the process explain it? Thanks

I was a Graduate student and three semester ROTC "Commissionee" (SP). You don't need to be in a specific program (IE one year or two year program) All you need to do by by the regs to commission is complete three semesters of ROTC and Field training (with out a scholarship). AFROTC is the easiest path to commission. Also FYI find a small DET because it is easier to stand out for commanders ranking. My Det has less than 50 cadets total. If you have any questions shoot me a PM and I will try and answer them for you.

Yes, it is charged against normal leave. If you have to take more leave than your current balance you will go negative if approved by your CC.

Part two is up!

Would they really do that? or have the authority to do so? I would say it went more like they got a judge to shut down the site under the pretense that the info Military Corruption was going to release was classified and a threat to national security if released. Or Military Corruption was full of B.S. and never had any real info.

Pot calling the kettle black! I was joking too.

Hahaha that's awesome! (Begin Tangent) I guess that's what senior leadership says to mid career officers like yourself thus how messed up certain thing are in Big Blue. I can see it now: Lt Col. X: Sir, I really think we should have an experienced pilot set requirements for this new aircraft platform. 3 star Gen X: STFU Lt.Col X When we want your opinion we will give it too you. Where is my exec from three years ago he was great as an exec and did an evenly more stupendous job as a Civil engineer! And the cycle of dumb shit continues. (End Tangent)

It's not like they have a choice on what they get to wear to work. It's like that squadron that is required to wear scarfs (or what ever) they don't like it but they got to wear it. I mean seriously you are giving these guys shit over something they have no control over. Now that's

I'm all for "airing out the dirty laundry" and her getting "Hammered" if she lied or whatever but to hope and actively pursue that AP and other news agencies pick up the story is in bad taste. Apparently we will soon find out what the report states from the "OSI source" if there was a cover up the Maj and every one else involved should get punished for the part they each played. Now if news agencies don't pick up the story at that moment why would you want to actively pursue News agencies to pick up the story and report negative news? Certainly the story will be reported by AF times and regular AF news so that should be enough to get the word out to set the example for the rest of the Air Force. Now if the Air Force after the report is leaked continues to cover it up then I could definitely see going to a news agencies to push for media attention so that those involved get there punishment. But even this step is drastic because if there is a “cover up” I would think this is beyond the Air Force trying to sweep it under the rug it is the DOD telling the AF to keep it quiet. And I will refrain from typing at 1am to avoid the Officer “Core” LOL.

I don't think AFSC will matter much, what's more important is AFOQT Scores, GPA, Recommendation, EPR's and "Brownie Points"(volunteering). I personally think unless you are a PJ, Combat Control, or TACP AFSC will make no difference in being picked up. And the reason I think the previous three AFSC's will make a difference is because the training alone is a good indicator they will succeed as an officer. purely just my opinion! Good luck!

Looks like you will be Huffy-ing it till your old enough!

I have a 2006 636. I started riding back in 1999 on a Ninja 250 and got bored with it real quick, however I recommend anybody new to riding to consider the 250 as a first bike. And I definitely recommend a 600cc over liter bike for twisties. Laters
