Taxes, the Deficit/Debt, and the Fiscal Cliff
How would you explain Greece and the multiple other European countries that have or are starting to fail fiscally?

RPA/Cyber has their medal on the way
Yep... had a 'command' chief (who apparently was in the chain of command for E medals) try to deny a MSM for a tech (who had actually been promoted to master by the time the paperwork finally made it). Literally wanted to see that the guy had gotten 5s on all his EPRs *ever*. O-6 intervention later required.

More SARC briefings soon.
The list of everything seized is finally out: https://militarytimes.com/projects/air/health-welfare-findings. Good to see, among other things, we're protecting the AF from multiple instances of nose art, Avenger comic books, and guys with pictures on their desks of wives in swimsuits at the beach or "Photos of individual with wife/girlfriend (no nudity)".

Blues on Monday
Most of the Tricare cost issue is the 20+ years of a large number of retirees. Unless we keep a PT test to keep the checks coming, people are still free to get fat the second they get out if that's what they tend toward.

Good military/aviation books
He resigned because some people on his staff were a little too frank and got thrown under the bus by a Rolling Stone reporter.

Taxes, the Deficit/Debt, and the Fiscal Cliff
Unfortunately right now we're in the situatiion of a household trying to get out of under crushing debt; even with higher taxes, we need to cut spending (especially the so-called entitlements which are the majority of the budget); only once income>spending can we start paying down the debt.

Gun Talk
This is in a state that tried to ban recording police activity in public and re-elected convicted (not indicted) criminals to state offices, though.

DoD "ready" for DADT repeal
"Heterosexual couples that don't meet the church's requirements" don't have their own lobbying organizations and DoD-designated pride/heritage week.

C-17 Pilot Charged in Training Jump Death
Sorry for your loss; the 2 sides to a story is why we have safety investigation boards - to find the truth and disseminate/apply the lessons learned to prevent the same thing from happening to others in the future. If the mistakes were egregious or intentional, a flight evaluation board can be convened on the aircrew involved. The court-martial system is simply not equipped (or the proper venue) to investigate a safety incident.

It'll be a huge pain for these guys - they'll have to completely rename all their squadron stuff: https://www.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123166420

Taxes, the Deficit/Debt, and the Fiscal Cliff
Most schools are funded by property taxes, the rates for which are not progressive like the income tax scale.

Foul. Have him get the history books out of the squadron until the situation is resolved.

Thought the friendly host nation customs officials took care of keeping offensive materials out a long time ago. /sarcasm

Behind the scene tracking
NotScripts will take care of the script issue; Ghostery is designed for tracking cookies. Don't know of a RequestPolicy equivalent.
-
Behind the scene tracking
In addition to NoScript use the RequestPolicy extension for Firefox. It's like NoScript with the option to allow/disallow requests of any kind that aren't directed at the current web page. For example, if DoubleClick has a pixel bug on facebook.com, visiting facebook.com with the extension enabled will not load anything from doubleclick.net, google-analytics.com, etc. and will flag it for you to allow/disallow. NoScript, RequestPolicy, and BetterPrivacy (to block/delete Flash cookies) should take care of 90.69% of the stuff that's out there.

Yes, still have the ratings at the end. Had a good flight so they viewed it as more of an 8 week break from work/drinking opportunity

Tactical need for the F-35B?
The Army tends to misapply what's delegated to them in the FW air realm hence the need for ALOs/JTACs to be AF people. The split with the CCA/helos going to the ground commander and everything else moving to JFACC control makes sense.

General Petraeus resigns amid affair scandal
As CENTCOM commander, he was the one that signed the General Orders enabling said lower echelons to hand out paperwork.

Threshold rule is only in the AF version of GO1B I believe.

Any AFI cites? Several of the Lts in my shop that got picked up on the last board are trying to sign up; some were able to but the education center is refusing to sign up anyone who is more than 6 months from pin-on (so the summer session commissionees are getting screwed).

Dog Breed Restrictions in On-Base Housing
Valid. So if his dog is well-behaved, that satisfies your stated intent of the AFI, and he can therefore do what he needs to do. Much of the time "lawyering" is trying to execute the intent in spite of the wording.
