  1. There should be plenty of open opportunities for promotion if you go to Minot...
  2. Maybe it uses an advanced new computer display technology:
  3. For those near KNPA it was announced today that he will be the speaker at the AF birthday ball here on 26 OCT.
  4. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P-factor Basically the tendency of most prop aircraft to turn left without control input.
  5. Go to the bottom of the page and click "Group Travel" and it will be on the sidebar.
  6. Are you ROTC (you do not go to BOT) or OTS (aka BOT)? If you are ROTC and put pilot as your first choice and do not get it there is a waiting list which they can draw from in case people with pilot slots fail out their senior year, get med DQ, etc. Once you are on active duty there are AD pilot boards you can apply to as well as non-rated or after a certain amount of time in service as nav.
  7. AFAIK OSI does not take OTS applications unless you are already an enlisted OSI agent and trying to commission.
  8. If you right click on it and do view image it goes to sr71.net and shows another picture of the XB-70. It looks like the webmaster of the hosting site set it up to show a different image if you are not viewing the picture from his site (to deter including it in forums, etc and using his bandwidth) like airliners.net tends to do.
  9. No, your clearance has to be sponsored either by a government agency or a contractor with classified contracts.
  10. We have managed to get the normal post-LLAB fun condoned as an 'official' event as long as it starts before 2100 (so everyone can get into the bar).
  11. Internships: https://public.afosi.amc.af.mil/career/intern.asp As an update to the post about board statistics, I believe they only took 6 applicants from the May 07 board that just met (not sure how many applied though, usually around 100/board)
  12. https://forums.realpolice.net/forumdisplay.php?f=51 https://www.911jobforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=61 https://ask.afpc.randolph.af.mil/Docs/DPA/OSI/CADETS.doc https://ask.afpc.randolph.af.mil/Docs/DPA/OSI/DEADLINES.doc From the AFOSI Global reliance magazine from their website: '2' on HD's post as well; while the application instructions say that OAF-OSI is not given preference over a regular interview, most of the agents I talked to this summer on OAF said it definately helps with the interview portion if you do a good job since the interview is then more of a formality instead of the Det/CC trying to find everything about you in 40 minutes. 13. 1. Drug use of any type is automatic disenrollment, especially with the current zero tolerance for alcohol infractions. 2. While reporting the incident will end your ROTC career, lying on a security clearance will make it much more difficult to get a cleared job in the future (even if your employer is willing to give you a second chance on the MJ use, they will be much more reluctant to excuse a major integrity violation).
  14. Try to hook up with local Guard/Reserve units if possible - we got GP-Mediums from an Army National Guard unit just by calling them, and the local reserve civil engineering squadron was going to send trainers and equipment and make it count as a reserve weekend for them (fell through because of some budget issues on our end). PM me if you need details.
