Ugg... You guys sound like the bitchy wives club. At least take the time to attack the idea and not the speaker.

Fogleman, not Foglesong.

I stopped reading after seeing Cannon at #10.

How do people not understand this concept? Lazy leaders are the ones that look for easy discriminators. It's either that, or they are unable to own up to the responsibility of having to look a subordinate in the eyes and tell them why he ranked them where he ranked them, using "well you didn't get XYZ done" as an easy cop-out so they don't have to shoulder the burden of telling someone they weren't ranked as high as they expected.

Cliff notes all the way baby. I scored higher on the tests than my buddy who only did the reading. Imagine that.

There's a quote from the SOS in correspondence reading that has always stuck out in my mind. It said, "Accountability is knowing who to blame." It's this kind of BS that keeps the ship moving in the wrong direction.

The ISPs are the roads, the bridges, UPS, FedEx, Swift, JB Hunt, Old Dominion, every truck, every car, and for that matter, every vehicle. Not only do they get to decide how fast you get to your destination, but they also get to decide what route you're taking to get there. The fast/slow lanes would be like allowing your car to go to Walmart and Target at 70 mph, but God help anyone trying to build a new business. You would only be able to drive to the new store at 15 mph because the new store doesn't have enough capital to pay the fee. Killing net neutrality will make starting a new online business extremely difficult and stifles competition because it favors the behemoth corporations that already have your business. Edit: It also looks like the sarcasm was missed in my earlier post.

In short, they're all over.

It's funny how a company could actually be hated. If you don't like their services or their prices, don't use them right? That's how a free market works, right? Edit: (This was sarcasm)

That documentary made me feel like a fool. At what point does the police become the military? It seems the only thing a lot of police departments lack is a PT standard.

I don't buy your assumption that ISPs are not monopolies. See Sky_King's post. That shows how many areas of the United States are serviced by ONE (and only one) broadband provider.
-
No. This is what happens when wealth is concentrated in large corporations and extremely large sums of money are controlled by a handful of people. They change the rules of the game to favor themselves through prolific lobbying and campaign donations.

I think they TOTALLY get it (Suicides)

A bit of a long video, but Dr. Sapolsky (Stanford professor) explains how depression is just as much a biological disease as diabetes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOAgplgTxfc -
There are plenty of successful helo pilots flying fixed wing, so I think that's probably just confirmation bias. As for the SRO part: recognize that the SRO has a tremendous impact on the performance of the class as a whole. The best classes I ever saw were led by SROs who did their job keeping all the cats running in the same direction. The weakest classes I saw were always led by SROs who were really nice guys, but did nothing to guide the class. When I was in UPT, I was fortunate enough to be in a class with a strong SRO. He had a level head, studied his butt off, and immediately quashed any bullshit us dumb 2Lts tried to pull. He was a role model even as a student and you should strive to be the same.

Resist the urge to feel like your experience has built you a platform from which to quibble and gripe. Shut up and color like every other student and you'll be fine. There was a guy with similar credentials that went through a year or so ago. He could be a little over confident at times, but mostly an ok dude. Someone told me he washed out, but I didn't hear the full story.

It's always seemed odd to me as well that religious prayers are routinely given at official functions under the jurisdiction of the federal government. If you don't think it's weird, try to imagine a change of command with a Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, or Jewish invocation. I could see that not going over too well.

And how exactly are all of these raffles that require you to buy a ticket legal?

Lazy leadership.... It's disgusting really.

When I think back to all the ROTC nazis that went intel, I can't say I'm surprised to hear about all this.

I'm a little late to the party, but this is the loophole I've seen used multiple times: 1. Put the kegs you don't buy from the club just outside a side door. 2. Prop the door open. 3. Drink

For better or worse, we are an organization that lives and dies by the "regulations." I wasn't around when they were AFRs, but didn't we make the change to AFIs to get away from the "well it doesn't say that in the reg" sallies?
