I'll have to stick up for the XL O-club; its probably the best I've come across. Its a pilot-heavy base in the middle of nowhere with little local talent, so it doesn't have much competition. Other than the fees for drop-nights, its actually pretty good and usually is packed on Fridays. Drop nights, even with the fees, are especially packed to the point where it takes forever to get drinks even with 2 bars open. Leadership on base over the last year also has done a lot to make the O-Club closer to what they were like when they were LTs, and many of the squadron commanders and wing leadership are there Friday pushing it up with studs and FAIPs. A certain group/cc may not have done a keg stand one night ;). That certainly wasn't the case when I first got here, by the way. The place sucked, but it was renovated and since has been doing pretty well. Not saying its the best in the country nor as good as the O-Clubs of the past. Doesn't make up for living in Del Rio, but the booze helps.

I can't count the number of times I've seen an F-14 in USAF material, even to this day. This includies a $70 crystal engraving given to each of us in our ROTC graduating class. UFB

I couldn't help but laugh at the scenes where he's singing while everyone around him is doing their J-O-B. If he was doing that around me, I'd be like 'Dude, stop that goddamn singing and grab ATIS'. It'd be a little hard to concentrate, not gonna lie.

Haha definitely got ninjaed the LOC for not watering my backyard. Yeah, that e-mail threatening people about this? DEFINITELY made it to us AFTER we got the LOCs (this and more went into my rebuttal MFR). And yeah, the general reaction to this is WTF!? My front-yard looks nice :)

I think what ski&fly fast is referring to is the upcoming drop for 10-14, where it has C-130J to Cannon AFB as an option. We were trying to figure this out last night. Its either a typo or what Cucci is referring to... no slick Js at Cannon.

Does anybody know if U-28s are currently available to T-1 guys? They seem to drop only to the T-38 side, whereas NSAs go to the T-1 side (which I haven't seen in awhile at Laughlin). On the selection sheet NSA and U-28 are lumped into one option. Thanks for the help.
