  1. I’m guess ERU has more online courses than MTSU but you might be able to be paid more as tenure track at MTSU. Adjunct might be a fun distraction if you have a great paying job you don’t want to give up. I almost took a job at MTSU in 2002 since the College of Business and Aviation school share a building. The CofB said they’d allow me to teach an aviation class as part of my teaching load. I was tempted, but went to a smaller state school. If you could go there as tenure track I’m guessing you’d be into 6 figures with a great quality of life. And Murfreesboro and surrounding area isn’t too costly compared to many places. Regardless what you do with it, you should feel some pride in your accomplishment.
  2. If only that song were true. Sadly they wont go away and delusional men will continue to endanger women and girls because there is no shame in 2025 America.
  3. I won my bracket friends group with the Gators taking it all. Most everyone in my group had Duke going all the way. I knew Houston was rough and physical but even with their seeding, I didn’t think they’d make it past Elite 8. They were physical and aggressive and had me scared in the final.
  4. Congrats on completing your doctorate. That’s proof of a lot of time and energy spent. Are you going to teach at the university level now?

The boat comic is exactly the opposite of what’s happening in the U.S. leftist have been setting fire and killing anything that challenges their idiotic anti-human flourishing worldview. Nice try though.
  6. That makes me sad to read. If the desire for freedom has wavered in Taiwan’s AF pilots, what are the odds it will be strong amongst the general population. I grew up in Taiwan (8 to 18) and the 104 drivers who were my dad’s friends were gung-ho about fighting China if it ever came to that. Of course this was (1970 to 1980) when U.S. F-4s were station in Tainan and also rotated through CCK in Taichung on a quarterly basis from Clark. CCK had 2 or 3 F-104 squadrons (US and Taiwanese). There were also US C-130s in Taipei and at CCK as well as a squadron of KC-135s on permanent TDY at CCK. The U.S. presence diminished greatly in 1977 when Carter threw Taiwan under the bus. We should have helped establish Taiwan (in the UN) as a separate nation from Communist China instead of playing name games for 47 years. China might have given up their laughable claim.
  7. Gators squeaked by for the title.
  8. Officially ended in 2016, but even before that Chinese men were going to nearby Asian countries to find wives. It took the CCP officials a little longer to see the impact of their bad policies. I was in Vietnam in 2013 for a while, and saw tons of Chinese men shopping for wives in both Hanoi and Saigon.

On their face these high tariffs seem unwise in the short run, but I’m not an economist. I know the imbalance has caused our industrial base to just about disappear. We bought the cheapest crap when we had a choice, and now most of what was made here has been outsourced to China and other cheap labor countries. We’ve now lost the choice in most products and we’re addicted to cheap throw away crap. I like the idea of bringing manufacturing products home and I’m also hoping there are discussions happening behind the scenes so that we don’t face high tariffs (import and export) and the trade market is more fair for the U.S. We have high labor costs and it might require subsidies to keep some level of competence in heavy industry here in the U.S.A. Our collective patience level isn’t very high (based on the market volatility). Who knows what the best long term strategy is and maybe Trump is making a terrible policy decision and the markets are letting us know in real time. Either way, we’re in for some volatility over the next few months (I know, I’m just stating the obvious).
  10. Willie allegedly had a “highway men” club too. Screw that, i was having too much fun flying on Uncle Sam’s dime to do drastically stupid shitte like that and get booted. Even without social media, you could still end up being seen by the wrong person and lose your wings.
  11. This is about what they all looked like (at varying speeds) back in the 1980s. This one is more recent and I think was discussed here on BOs when it happened. The crews got reprimanded if I remember correctly.

  14. Yeah, that lesbian underwater basket weaving masters degree served her well.
  15. At a Bills game. Sadly I was watching and not flying. I was a tanker guy at the Burgh.
