Unfreakingbelievable. How can any sane person even question the holocaust? I say make any doubter sit down with a survivor for 5 minutes (fewer and fewer are still around), visit any of the "camps", view official military slides/pictures, and read and write a report on a few historical accounts from prisoners and guards. I'd say with most genocides that have occurred, we don't really have the true account of how many died/tortured. It's like the killing fields in Cambodia (est. 500,000 to 1.3Mil), Hitler's rampage (est. 11 to 12Mil), Mao's ccp murders and starvations (est. 30 to 80Mil), Stalin's/USSR's mass executions and starvations (est. 28 to 126Mil). Wide ranging figures and scholars can at best guesstimate with available documentation and witness testimony.

VA disability that doesn’t affect FAA/ civilian flying
bfargin replied to Guardian's topic in General Discussion
From AOPA: Driver's license and the student pilot certificate: The Sport Pilot rule allows a pilot to fly light-sport aircraft without the need for an FAA medical certificate. However, a sport pilot must hold at least a current and valid U.S. driver's license in order to exercise this privilege. The only exceptions are for operations in a glider or balloon, which does not require a driver's license. A person using a current and valid U.S. driver's license must comply with each restriction and limitation imposed by that person's U.S. driver's license and any judicial or administrative order applying to the operation of a motor vehicle. That person must also meet the requirements of 14 CFR 61.23(c)(2), which states the following: Have been found eligible for the issuance of at least a third class airman medical certificate at the time of his or her most recent application (if the person has applied for a medical certificate); Not have had his or her most recently issued medical certificate (if the person has held a medical certificate) suspended or revoked or most recent Authorization for a Special Issuance of a Medical Certificate withdrawn; and Not know or have reason to know of any medical condition that would make that person unable to operate a light-sport aircraft in a safe manner. -
I love how crappy the news is in vetting information. They keep reporting that she is the first AF member to ever compete in Miss America when this thread provides proof that statement is not true. Do news agencies even bother with legitimate fact checking, or is that job relegated to making sure nobody ever (news, social media, politics) says anything against leftist dogma?

The woman reporter tried to totally ruin her career and chances with that "gotcha" question. While 5 minutes ago, it wouldn't be the minefield question it currently is, she did pretty well dodging and not having to give a truthful answer while also not coming across as a complete leftist douchebag. Pretty well done on her feet there.

I saw that too. What a joke. To be fair, it might be Google or Expedia instead of United tracking that crap.

It's way cheaper to fly now than when I was a kid flying back and forth to Taiwan every couple of years. TPE to BNA was $1,000 in 1976, fast forward to the last time I flew that a few years ago (2015) it was $1,200. I just now looked ... $939 rt. I realize prices change constantly but that's insanely cheap.

throw out a dumbass scenario as a legitimate one, get results

If China attacked Hawaii, China would no longer exist as we currently know it. I'd launch everything we have that makes things glow from the West coast and destroy every major city, military complex, and populated region of China. There'd be no nuance about it. Obviously with Guam my calculus is slightly different but I wouldn't just fight a battle where we were losing men and women slowly in a meat grinder. If talks didn't work quickly then they might get hit with the same massive strike as in scenario 1.

YGTBSM ... allow almost the total number of American war deaths (from all of the wars we've fought to date - 1Mil vs ~1.3Mil) to save Guam?
-
Thats FUBAR. I'm not sure how/why you're getting off on seeing dead soldiers, much less soldiers from a country we aren't at war with. Putin sucks and Russia has no business in Ukraine, but I'm not happily celebrating that any of them are dying.

DEI and intersectionality should be returned to hell where they originated. When you seek to divide, it’s usually successful, to your detriment and to your organizations.

Epic, that lard ass knows his landing is going to hurt, but he's like "screw it, full speed ahead".

I think pretty much everyone but Russia wants them to win. But we've done enough and don't have a pot to piss in right now anyway.

It looks like this owner deleted the minigun option in favor of the out and back to Navy Brunswick lobster cubicle. Many a tweet trip from Plattsburgh and Loring to Brunswick was made in the 1980s and early 90s. Every time I made that run out of the 'burgh, there was another tweet there picking up lobster...I mean practicing PAR approaches.

what about sea bass?

Given the choice of saving innocent human life vs losing elections, I'll stand for life every single day. Without life nothing else matters (no rights to protect). I understand losing elections means the democrats get to decide who they allow to be killed, but the principle remains. We just need to do a better job of framing the question/topic and recognize that not every jurisdiction is happy with the exact same restraints (sadly even on the killing of babies). The 2nd amendment in our republic is/was/always has been law, abortion was a made up right to kill innocents. They are not even in the same ballpark. Comparing those two is like comparing the right to own material possessions with the right to kill someone you don't like.

Do any of the jets in service still have the aft stairs a la the 727? Ole Joe might have taken a stroll out the back door.

In order to be consistent you’d need to eliminate voting by people on any welfare/gov assistance programs as well.

I’m shocked they would try something so underhanded.
