Dude - you've proving yourself as unproductive and value lost to the process. The benefits of a different point of view and dissenting opinion are lost when you act like a complete ass. You have quickly become a liability instead of an asset to the board/community. Well, I take that back - your actions are so predictable its entertaining. So please continue - we are laughing at you not with you. Your obvious military experience that may be beneficial to the masses is lost when you talk outside your lane. I highly recommend before you post again to read the rules - and figure out where you fücked up. e

Moneydance -- good across all platforms. Particularly good if you deal in foreign currencies. I liked quicken better for tracking basic investments when I was using a PC - but do NOT recommend that for a Mac. Moneydance was the best Mac compatible product I cood find when doing research a couple yrs ago on financial software.

Ha! When the fück would that have been? Seriously. Flew with a guy once who did the Cannon - Korea - Vance trifecta. Shit before Vipers wasn't Cannon the mecca for Varks and Sparkvarks? The 111 wic was there no? Never heard of any location in the CONUS being considered a remote. MAYBE, in the back of my cranium might remember an old 102 driver talk about a remote CONUS flying gig in the northern mid-west as part of ADC before transitioning to the F-15A. But that's going back a ways. Get back to nursing your hangover - hair of the dog never hurts. e

Copy - by not answering the question you answer the question. So how have you come across all this inside information on the school? -
When is a Masters degree needed for a Guard Officer?
BigE replied to guim's topic in Air National Guard / Air Force Reserves
Probable and possible I am highlighting my lack of knowledge on such subjects - I'm not in the guard/reserve. Was more pointing out he had probably close to 16 years of AD time - which is a good chunk towards an AD retirement that could be achieved in the guard/reserve. Something that was probably keeping him on AD in the first place as making O-5 was something he wasn't interested in. I had thought that in such cases, units could not deny full time orders to guys solely because said orders would take them over the hump for points on an AD retirement making them eligible for immediate payout verse waiting like a normal guard/reserve retirement. Something units may or may not be keen on doing. Thought that was called sanctuary - being within 2 years of an AD retirement. Also thought it was one of those factors when transitioning out of AD well on your way to 20 years of AD time. Sounds like Van knew what he was doing, had a plan, with a built in branch, that executed well. Glad a dude was able to take an unexpected pink slip and make things work. e -

Scholar - I'll ask the question - what is your interest in being on this forum discussing TUI? Admittedly, it sounds like you are a former employee who got let go and you have a bone to pick with the school, on this site collecting information to use against the school for personal means. What ever your reason - it does not appear to be genuine and the nature of your posts and questions indicate an agenda you have not shared or made clear. Perhaps I am wrong and you are just sharing information to help bros make an informed decision on where they spend their money and time working on an AAD. e -

Van1 - congrats! So am I reading correct you intentionally did not complete ACSC prior to your O-5 IPZ and APZ promotion boards, indicating you wanted to continue as a major to 20, instead got non-continued, and then decided to complete ACSC? All prior to collecting your separation check, transition without a break in service to the guard, and then getting promoted with only a couple more years of finding full time orders to reach sanctuary? That would be how to play the game! Solid. -

A new bomber. Anyone think the AF procurment people can get this right?
BigE replied to gmwalk's topic in General Discussion
Numbers are great. So let's see, using smart weapons to make this argument. The B-2 carries 80x GBU38 at 135k/hr. That's only 1.69K per DMPI! Oh wait the F-15E carries GBU39! Fück -- I hate public math, let me go get my calculator... Stupid argument, as Rainman is trying to point out. -
You fückers are funny! I left SZL summer '09 so my dope is a little dated. But for a data point I spent 6 years at Whiteman, ~1250 total hours between T-38 and B-2 flying (6 yrs flying T-38s, ~600 hours / 4.5 yrs flying the B-2 ~650 hrs). Nothing to write home about but not 80 hours a year. Manning was like the rest of the CAF - always 6.9 dudes below authorized strength. I don't think that has changed. I have no SA on current hiring practices. If you would like a good number or contact let me know and I'll see what I can dig up. Like every assignment there are good and bad aspects of the job. The B-2 community is small with only the one main base at Whiteman. Means you don't move around much - that can be good and bad. It also means there can be bullshit politics. I've always said the more good bros we hire and the younger and more normalized we get -- the better. Seriously, we hire are own guys - its our own fault if we hire jackasses. Make up of the community is by my WAG about 50% bomber, 25% fighter, 10% FAIP and 15% other (MAF, UPT, etc). Background has little to do with success. If you were raised right in your previous community, a good bro, can fly and employ the weapon system while not being an ass it doesn't matter if you previously flew AWACS, Eagles, BUFFs, KC-10s, C-21s, F-16s, etc. And anyone that really does care what you previously flew beyond busting balls at the bar is a self-identified ass. And yes, straight from UPT dudes can excel. I understand in the last couple years the younger dudes, even some straight from UPT bubbas waiting on a B-2 training date flying as pseudo FAIPs have been able to deploy downrange gaining experience in the MC-12. Good on em. Be advised if you are thinking the B-2 is something you are interested in - once you have nuclear stink on your record it will stick with you. That probably closes more doors than it opens. I got to do a lot of cool stuff while at Whiteman. My timing in the jet sucked as far as direct kinetic feedback on effecting the current fight. But there is plenty of good other work to keep life interesting. The program began in the black world after all. I can't speak to the current morale of the Wing. I enjoyed my time there but certainly bitched about plenty (i.e. standard). I've never heard of an AFSOC dude making the transition - but that doesn't mean it has never happened - especially as I have been out of the loop for a couple years. There are a couple others on this board who can add some more recent dope on what is happening in the community and/or raise the BS flag on what I've written. Except that Bluto kid - don't listen to a word he says! e

Small Schools Brd is the selection board for schools that don't have a significant number available 'slots'. I don't know at what number they make that cut... a couple maybe... e Concur on the above - and will add TOS waivers for attending school probably have a high approval rate.

If I had a sweet gig working in Garmisch Germany you would have to drag me away as I repeadidly smacked you on the cranium with an overflowing Maß of Helles to get me to leave. Decision making = Unsat. -
To them! Thank you for the reminder. 560th at RND has some pretty cool stuff/memorial hall from those days and the repatriation flights pilots would get when getting back in the air...worth a stop if passing thru Randolph.

Well the B-2 carries two so you could go for a shocker... Or a two-ship coordinated penetration with agreed upon ROE and a clearly set BeNo line for frag seperation and counter clockwise safe escape and re-attack plan...

Congrats on reaching escape velocity!

Thru military sales about 5 years ago the price for an X-33 was under 1000. I think I paid 750 without a metal band and it was 900 with the metal one. I'm surprised it went up as much as it did.
-
I have a Breitling Aerospace and a Omega X-33. The X-33 is a much better pilot watch - a better watch period - and unless the military price has changed significantly at about 1/3rd the price of a Breitling order. If you like watches in the slightest and can get an X-33 go for it.

Never been stationed in the NCR - but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night... I thought dudes stationed in the DC/Pentagon area got money for public transport because the commute sucked so much - couple hundred bucks a month or what ever for a train/subway pass...
