  1. Work/Guard-life question: How often are you able to get in the jet given your hectic schedule? Any trouble getting a good year? Do you even have time to dip into the AFTP bucket? I know the challenge of balancing a non-airline .civ job with the ANG...but you are on a different level. The AFRC -135 unit at ADW able to get you on for a quick 1-1-1 now and then?
  2. Great info! Any chance there is a reg reference for that? My AFRC recruiter does not know this.
  3. If someone was going ANG to AFRC CAT E....does anyone know if paricipation in the ANG gets you on the scroll? Obviously going AD to AFRC requires scrolling (which can take some time) but what about ANG (which does not require scrolling but MAY (as I have been told) get you on the scroll) to AFRC?

  9. As folks have mentioned anything with a start or end counts. So airshows..yes. Also deployments, ORI/UCIs (incl prep), process implementation (ie incorporation of E-readers, getting folks spun up/quald on new systems such as CTIIor testing out new systems. Large scale exercises are also legit....the planning, scenario development, beddown, execution, roll-up, etc. Be ready to be audited, tho. As long as you have some sort of documentation (ie OPRs) you will be good to go. An MFR from your boss saying yes, his application is legitIve reviewed it works. Be sure to also do some reading up on Agile (Scrum). No need to go and spend money on a scrum master course if you are newbut to say you know PM and are familiar with Agile is clutch on a resume/in an interview.
  10. The syracuse program is legit. Knocked out my PMP with them....which made me far more marketable as I get out of AD. Lots of other stuff in there as well for you, your troops and spouses. You may need to give em a call after you apply to follow up/get things moving...but other than that they have great customer service (surprising since it is all free)

  12. How would PC make him ineligible for guard/reserve bonus? And what are the reqs for said bonus?

  14. I've heard about getting the ARC commission...but had not heard about AOs being a sticking point. It it a AD HARM to ARC-HARM issue...or just the way business is done?
  15. For someone going from AD to the guard and doing a qual/requal program...how much time is needed to complete the inprocessing, etc before going off to the schoolhouse? A week? Month? It depends?
