You must have missed the thread in the squadron bar where he was called out by someone for editing people's posts, then deleted the subsequent posts of everyone who dared to call him out on his bullshit. Classy. Don't think he's been back since. https://www.flyingsquadron.com/forums/index.php?/topic/19621-roll-call-rainman/ Check out the last few pages. Apparently someone (hopefully ClearedHot himself) went back and un-deleted the posts. We need "leaders" to participate on these forums... and we need them to be receptive to the fact that not everyone is going to agree with them.

Ugh. Much like Liquid, ClearedHot, and other "leaders" to frequent this board... disappointing.

Can you expand on this at all? Another fake VSP, where AFPC initially claims pilots are eligible, then panics when an overwhelming number apply... then approves the VSP for folks who were 6 months from getting out anyway? Another RIF of those same folks denied VSP? See why a lot of us are skeptical? -
Aviation Continuation Pay (ACP - The Bonus)

The retirement will be changing, sooner rather than later, and definitely not for the better. If you're going to stay or go, don't do it for theoretical money that may or may not exist. -
To continue with this stupid analogy... You assume everyone wants to be a coach in the first place. Right now, your beloved system forces out great people who want nothing more than to be the QB their entire careers. They get penalized for daring to question the careerist path that you've chosen. It's all good. Eventually, all the QBs will leave, and you'll be forced to play with a team full of coaches and equipment managers, wondering what the hell happened. Best of luck.

This, ladies and gents, is why I can't wait to take my services elsewhere.

Some six months after we were promised a "vector", we're still waiting...

Aviation Continuation Pay (ACP - The Bonus)

So the relative handful of people flying Gulfstreams, BBJs, and 75s out of DC to cool places worldwide, all while never deploying, are happy with the AF (and yet still won't sign the bonus)? Weird. -

Don't forget that that $25k/yr becomes around $18k/yr after Obama takes his cut. Is $18k/yr worth that 365 to a shithole? -
Someone's gotta do the walkaround, preflight, and carry the DV's bags.

Been saying this for years. Won't happen, though. Can't wait to take my services elsewhere.

Don't forget taxes. Suddenly, that 365 to a shithole and the continued mind-numbing BS that comes with the bonus doesn't look so appealing anymore... -
This is similar to how they could and should fix the AAD issue. Stop tracking it completely- on SURFs, DVBs, "ribbon charts", etc- until you've pinned on O-4. The handful of career fields that require one for their actual primary duty can keep them if they wish. Won't happen, of course... that would require the AF to acknowledge that some career fields are more equal than others.

But he gave a great speech at the academy this one time! He sent a letter out to USAFE fighter pilots! He's going to release a "vector"... eventually!
-
Yep. Complete hypocrisy, from one of our so-called "leaders". Hard to take you seriously ClearedHot when you don't man up. Not at all surprising, really... par for the course for you and your peers. I'm sure this post will be deleted soon.

I hope you didn't really edit Vertigo's post like that. Certainly doesn't help your case at all. And it's especially troubling, given that you're an O-6 (O-7?) and one of our "leaders" who supposedly "gets it". Then again, maybe we shouldn't be surprised... If you, Rainman, etc don't like the idiotic political nonsense that Nsplayr, Pick Your Battles, et al spew on this site... then be like the rest of us and don't fucking read it. It's not hard.

WG/CC fired for failing PT waist measurement
Karl Hungus replied to BONE WSO's topic in General Discussion
Fixed it for you. Seriously folks, keep stuff like this in mind when it's time to make important career decisions for you and your family. The AF doesn't give a shit about you or anyone you care about, despite their claims to the contrary. -
Dice Douche is going to have to find a lot of people. I can count on two hands the number of folks in the 04-09 year groups in my community who plan on staying past their UPT commitment. Obviously that number will increase because people tend to be pussies and scared of life outside of AD, but still...
-
I don't know why people transfer their GI Bill benefits (while it still exists) while they're on AD. Why not just wait until you separate then transfer once you're in the ARC? Anyway... doesn't hurt to try. I've seen up to 24 months waived, with non-concurrence all the way up the chain. SAF didn't give a shit what the SQ/CC, OG/CC, WG/CC, and AFPC functional thought. Good luck.

I'm sure the IP was just heartbroken.
-
That's next up on the chopping block. Along with increasing TRICARE premiums and delaying pension payouts until age 60 for AD retirements.
