  1. Some background on the Gaetz accusations and, more importantly, the accusers. https://thefederalist.com/2024/11/17/house-probe-into-matt-gaetz-relies-on-witnesses-doj-found-lacked-credibility/
  2. Laptop - real as admitted by the FBI. Gaetz allegations investigation not enough to charge - also FBI. If there is proof of crimes committed then charge him, convict him, and I'll gladly join the firing squad. Unsubstantiated anonymous accusations which seem common in the last couple years or rumors do not a criminal make but do make for great reputation destroying MSM fodder.
  3. Took some jets to Nellis for some night A-10 FWS support. Can't remember the building we were flying out of but some F-15s from Elmendorf supporting the F-16 Weapons School were also there. I bumped into a former student now F-15 dude as he was coming from a 4 vs I don't know how many and they start to debrief the ride. Anyway, that was around sunset and I launched with the 1st go. Got back, took over as Top 3, and launched our second go. We recover those jets, put them to bed, finish the paperwork, and completed the schedule for the next night. Sun is coming up and F-15/16 guys ARE STILL DEBRIEFING.
  4. Some district in CA has successfully counted 76% of ballots. I'm envisioning some 90 year old dude with an abacus pulling sacks off the dusty delivery donkeys before dragging the bags into a 1930s vintage country store counting a few ballots between conversations with the locals about that new fangled telephone on the wall.
  5. I'm baffled in this age of near instantaneous information exchange, Google searches in microseconds, and real time tracking of millions of package locations by freight carriers, why the hell can't votes be counted in a day? A week is just plain stupid.
  6. I've got recurrent training next month. I'll get back to group if they have added a low level gun jink maneuver to the syllabus.
  7. Few on the Dem side had the testicular fortitude to call BS on this but a week later, everybody saw it coming and thought it was a losing path. Maybe they were also in China with Tampon Tim when Tianamen Square want down. The scary part is none of this would come out if Harris had won and then the past policies are good to go for another 4 years.
  8. And as I type this, CA District 13 has only counted 57% of the vote according to the Real Clear Politics page. And there are 8 CA districts total that haven't finished counting! WTF California??? Yeah, we really need to spread those California values across the nation
  9. Currently reading Spies by Calder Walton covering east vs west from the Russian revolution to relatively recently. https://www.amazon.com/Spies-Epic-Intelligence-Between-East/dp/1668000695
  10. Did the A-10 Reserve RTU at Barksdale for 8 years. We flew B-course, TX-course, Senior Officer course (mostly Active Duty guys), IP Upgrades either RTU or line, and Sandy Upgrades. Flew my butt off as a full time reservist and as much as I could when I went part time. The B-was the most fun, TX-the easiest, IP Upgrades were rewarding teaching guys how to teach, and the Sandy upgrade was challenging because of the need for rescue assets. We could take an IP to Sandy 1 in two weeks. (Not sure Sandys still exists) Overall, a good gig molding the future fighter force.
  11. Good point. Kind of like what the definition of "is" is.
  12. An update shows the FEMA employee has been fired. "Trump supporters are evil so therefore I'm doing this for the team" is the same mindset as the IRS employee and the other 3 letter organizations. That mindset is a direct result of the higher ups in the organization. This person would not have done this if she didn't think she would not suffer repercussions. I'm not sure how deep Trump can fire people to restore fair and objective thinking but he needs to use the biggest cutting implement he can get his orange hands on.
  13. Reminds me of the idiots arrested in Georgia protesting the police training facility referred to as "cop city.". Almost all the people arrested were from places far from Atlanta. Who pays for their traveling and lodging expenses? They obviously don't have a job if they can spend time playing protestor. The money is coming from somewhere to support the chaos.
  14. Same here. I'd like to see the data for Trump's Madison Square Garden rally. My mother told me that you are the company you keep. 6000+ Antifa/BLM/Pro-Palestinian protestors is not exactly good company.
  15. Project Warrior with it's focus on history and why is important to maintain capability and skill to kill people and break their stuff would have to overcome the DEI programs focus saying history is bad and killing people and breaking their stuff doesn't rate in the Top 5 mission statements. But I agree, it was a great program. I remember attending a Daedalians gathering at Columbus. This 90 year old guy gets up and says he was the original FAIP in 1917( -ish) and was teaching guys to fly in France before moving into a combat squadron and going up against the Germans. Definitely inspiring.
  16. Didn't matter in 2016, didn't matter in 2020, but now, she just has to get this information out.....riiiigghhhht.
  17. Iron Dome is for smaller threats, David's Sling for medium range threats, and The Arrow for longer range threats. Google says the latter two were developed in the U.S. How all that worked against the Iranian missiles, I have no idea.
  18. No matter F-35 delivered munition or 2 month prior delivery by Amazon, doesn't matter. What does matter is Iran was known as the safest of havens for terrorists and one of the Hamas leaders took the room temperature challenge and lost in Tehran. Israel has fully implemented the FO part of FAFO much to the dismay of the surviving dirtbags. Hopefully, more Hamas barbarians will get the invitation to meet Allah.
  19. If I sent word out through informal channels to Sq CCs, DOs and Weapons shops that too many pilots are pressing weapons abort criteria, buffoning instrument procedures or failing to comply with published regs regarding wearing rings and then I show up on an announced check ride only to find pilots are pressing weapons abort criteria, buffoning instrument procedures, and failing to comply with published regs regarding wearing rings, I'd have no problem complying with checkride grade criteria and grading appropriately.
  20. Anybody want to make Veepstakes predictions? I'm guessing Gov. Shapiro from PA.
  21. Reminds me of the cold war days with the USSR when the various leaders disappeared from sight and Pravda said they were in good health to they are taking a break to they have a minor illness to they have a major illness to they are dead. Gorbachev was the first to walk away vs being carried out in a box. Democrats have always admired communists and long for the good old days.
  22. Sitting in a car and getting surprised with a gunman at your window then shooting sideways from a seated position probably doesn't duplicate the typical range scenario. I doubt he got the gunsights to eye level. As a former FFDO, we did seated training like shooting around or over a seat and it ain't accurate like range work doing head shots.
  23. Look up journalist Sheryl Attkisson and the sketchy stuff that was uploaded on her computers by a suspected 3 letter agency because of her reporting during the Obama administration.
  24. The senior in the seat thing is great. I flew an AKL trip with a new CA (also Check Airman getting his 100 hours) and he said senior FOs should bid narrow body CA to share knowledge, experience, etc. My response was hell no. No point in suffering needlessly when you can get the vacation and flying schedule you want and only work 9 days a month.
  25. Article on Fauci, COVID, and big pharma. https://tomklingenstein.com/fauci-was-just-a-symptom/
