The "is the sacrifice worth it?" question is being answered by those currently in the military and will be taught to their children. Some will say "yes" but far too many will say "no" or even "hell no." Both my sons asked me about the military and my recommendation was other options are out there unless you really have a burning desire to do something military related.

Well, we couldn't have that because gas is a fossil fuel and therefore evil. Electric pumps would be environmentally friendly so the gas pumps are replaced. When the electric grid froze up, the gas power plants went offline. Genius.

"State of Fear" written by Michael Crichton sums up the environmental doomsday screeching quite well, keep people scared by preaching doom and gloom so that those preaching gain power and/or wealth. Despite the 3 or 4 dozen grim predictions since the 1970s of global warming, global cooling, mass starvation, overpopulation, extinction of animal species, seas rising, acid rain, melting polar ice caps, ozone depletion, etc., humans are still here doing better than ever and the planet continues to spin through space. But 100% failure doesn't deter these people. I might admire that determination if they weren't so annoying.

50 years of bad doomsday climate predictions and the planet remains undefeated in proving those predictions wrong. Throwing an enthusiastic but completely wrong 15 year old into the loss column continues the Earth's perfect record.

Nashville is not a urban cesspool with a large crime problem because the sanity of the surrounding Republican/conservative population won't let it. Where leftists and liberal idiots have been allowed free rein in deep blue states, chaos and misery has embedded into the cities. 500,000 people have bailed out of California, IIRC. Google population decline in blue states for better numbers. Claiming to be blind to facts or making false comparisons certainly won't improve the life of anyone too poor to run away from those bad policies. Prior to the recall of Newsome, something like 60% of voters didn't like the direction the state of California was going. However, when pulling the lever to vote, Newsome wins by 20 points. The level of disaster doesn't matter to these people because they think "I'm a good person, Republicans are bad, and conservatives are Nazis so I'm voting democrat no matter what." Children aren't allowed to drive until 14, get a driver's license at 16, vote or buy a gun until 18, and drink until they are 21 years old. Why? Because society does not believe that children have the mental capacity to make correct choices regarding those subjects. But somehow, when it comes to permanent devastating life altering surgical or hormonal choices, children including pre-teens are deemed by the left to be more than competent to make those decisions. The leftist fascination with co-opting children is downright evil.
