  1. He should pay her for her household work and then charge her for room and board. 5 minutes of chores = ~$0.69. If a kid wants to act like an adult, treat them that way.

I'll never forget when a guy in my class was bragging that he got a 96 on the the PCSM when myself and 5 others told him that we all got 99's. Never seen such a sad look hit someone so quickly. Of the 99's in my class, 2 got fighters. 4 guys that got fighters had pcsm's less than 80. 1 was in the 20's. Don't get too wrapped up in a number.
  3. Kadena is pretty radical for young, single types. If you're not looking for young, single types of the opposite gender.
  4. Those are full of LOX.
  5. I would like to point out that the guy making all the negative comments on that video is into "Live action role playing" and posted many videos about it. Here's an example of "Live action role playing" YCMTSU
  6. LMAO! Thanks for the new signature.
  7. I'm an avid reader of this site and actually contributed some ideas on a couple of the articles. One of my favorites is about Leo Major. https://badassoftheweek.com/leomajor.htmlhttps://badassoftheweek.com/leomajor.html Best part is the "Artist's Interpretation"
  8. If it ain't Big Safari, acquisitions in the AF is a disaster. Ref F-35.
  9. I heard people talking about how this would make it awkward between Brady and the rest of the team. GMAFB. I guarantee nobody on that team gives two shits what Gisele thinks about football. Additionally, it amazes me about the stupid stuff that spews forth from a lot of football fans. Just because you've watched football for awhile does not make you Vince Lombardi. I wanted to slap some people I was watching the game with who kept talking about how Eli Manning is "horrible" and "only got a shot because he's Peytons brother" and other such nonsense.
  10. I would, but they never align my gun correctly and that stupid triangle is always off the target. Gotta be some kind of conspiracy.
  11. One piece of advice to the new guys. Learn the local area operating procedures cold. Knowing the airplane is important, but knowing where to park, the rules for the pattern, departure procedures, etc are something you use on every single flight. Knowing the tire pressure on the nose wheel won't do you a damn bit of good when you are sitting at the hold short line and can't remember the proper radio call and clown up the pattern as a result. This will apply to UPT/IFF/RTU as well. By the time you get to your RTU, you'll have about a week to learn what you need to learn about the jet and then be in to the tactics and such. In the Eagle B Course, we had 4 days on systems and then it was right into Offensive BFM and Refueling. The course is 6 months. Do the math. FWIW, I went through IFS several years ago as a prior CFII and took it lightly. The flying was not a problem for me, but I had my attitude adjusted and conformed to the AF way of business. Pretty humbling, but it worked out well for me. And last, but certainly not least: Learn to bounce back while at IFS. To even get to that point, you've been a successful person and aren't used to failing. I have a very good friend who had been top dog at every single thing he had ever done until he started flying. He flat out sucked. It took him until T-38's to learn to let it roll off his back and actually LEARN from his mistakes. Telling yourself "I suck, I'll never get this" does you no good. Going back on your flights and remembering when you pulled power and floated too far on landing and adjusting from that will make you better. My technique whenever I do something incorrectly is to look at it as a challenge and best that challenge. It's just the dumb jock in me, but I turn things like that into a competition. I get pissed off AT THE PROBLEM (not myself) and attack it until I have beaten it (sts). Find what works for you, and deal with problems, not beat yourself up. Best of luck to all!
  12. Do those even exist anymore?
  13. Reminds me of this gem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rIGMR0leCk
  14. Just fired up my bike after a pcs and was getting some popping at idle. Took some work to get it to actually stay on without rolling on the throttle for about a minute and then it was idling fine. However, popping was still remaining at idle and through the first few gears just riding up and down the street. Is it just from the gas sitting in the tank for about a month and a half and just gotta get it going or is something wrong?
  15. Hahaha wtf was that shit?! That was horrible. Best line from the story: "All nine Somali hostage takers were killed. No Americans were injured in the raid."
  16. Recently pcs'd across the country and had to leave my wife behind to finish up some job stuff. Now, we're planning on flying her and the dog down and wondering about moving her car. We would drive it, but she's pregnant and it's about a week drive. 1. Will the AF pay to move the car? 2. If not, does anyone have any gouge on companies that do that and costs? 3. Will we be able to set up a move to take her stuff or is it all out of pocket as well?
  17. I vividly remember my dad telling me a story about when he was flying Huey gunships in Vietnam (20th SOS Green Hornets). It was on a mission when their primary mission was scrubbed and a FAC had them roll in and kill water buffalo that the enemy was using as transport. This was the only mission he said he ever felt bad or had any remorse. Conversely, he said that on other missions (including one where he was directly responsible for over 100 EKIA and earned the first of 2 DFC's), the main feeling was relief that the good guys got out of there in one piece.
  18. To piggyback on this (I hate that phrase), don't go putting shit up all over facebook about how you're deployed or put your profile picture up of you in a desert flight suit in front of a place that is easily identifiable. If you're a pilot, you're cool. You don't have to advertise your coolness online to get street cred.
  19. An E-9's brain just exploded looking at that uniform.
  20. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Denver puts up 316 rushing yards today on the Pats terrible defense.
  21. Even God's blessings have to have maxed out on Brady. Tebow's turn for some grace.
  22. Let me just grab my popcorn before the start of the show here...
  23. Respectfully disagree Beaver. There is a large difference between aggressive and arrogant. It seems like the guys that are doing their best Maverick impressions are the guys that have the smallest confidence. It's the guy who is able to flip the switch and become a killer when he needs to that is the best fighter pilot. Perfect example of someone like that is Cael Sanderson (Only person to never lose a college wrestling match and 2004 Olympic Gold medalist). But I digress...
