    FIFY...seriously, nsplayer's comment was spot on. If becoming a pilot is your goal, you have to kick ass now as a CSO to have any kind of chance. Go with the mission that interests you, and you'll succeed.

    Sorry, but if I had someone working for me who wrote like an idiot, and they were supposed to be a professional with a Master's degree, I'd call them on it. Race has nothing to do with it, although I'm sure enough people use that as an excuse.

    I got my EE degree back in the vacuum tube days (well, maybe transistors..doing Fortran programs with punch cards), and only had to take 2 basic English classes. I was being a tad sarcastic in my post, but you have to admit a lot of engineers tend to be crappy writers. Just ask any tech writer what they think of engineer's writing styles.

    For chrissakes, she spelled "collage" on her thesis cover page?? I'll give her the misspell on the PPT slides, but on her thesis?? And her advisors didn't catch that?? Maybe that's how they spell college in the Navy... And a big "2" on most engineer's ability to write - it's a perfect example of being smart without common sense. Back in college we used to say "I always wanted to be an inginner..now I are one".

    Stay classy, UMass...way to go! Pats looked shaky most of the night, Gronk being less than 100% hurt the cause too. Giants held their own all night and deserved to win. Though their 2 point PAT try cost me $250 in a pool I was in..at least that would have made the Pats loss acceptable. Spring Training starts soon...go Sox!
