  1. They'd reject every app for attachments containing unencrypted PII.
  2. If there are seats they can get on. Edit: For D, that's spouse or travel partner, parents, and kids. No in-laws, siblings, etc. We've had great luck going to off places in off times. We buy seats if we gotta go or there are few flights. We don't try to go to Orlando in March More edit: Our trips are always 1 leg. Exponentially harder doing 2 leg non-rev.
  3. The Herks had a mission in Iraq and elsewhere that was TS and required Advanced Beatings. Policy for a while was all ACs and Navs would have the TS. Didn't seem to last though once those taskers waned.
  4. Yes and no. You still have to get hired by a Sq/CC. He has to like you enough to accept you into his organization. No, it's not like applying to some primo F-69 guard unit, but still, don't approach it like they can't not hire you. And yes, guys have been fired from Cat E jobs for getting hired and then being slugs. Here's the kicker: Like I wrote in another thread, if you're moving to airline base housing in DFW, ATL, or DEN, then good luck. They can't have 6 ALOs for one high school, and you may not want to drive 3 hours to the high school they assign you when you have to see a kid in person. If you're going to commute from somewhere less saturated with airline guys, then there probably is room for you.
  5. Awesome. So the white dudes can go to the bar while the minorities and women go do show-and-tell after their 3-hop XC to Austin. Who thinks this stuff up and doesn't filter it between their brain and their mouth?
  6. Because your first V1 cut SHOULD be in a 120,000 lb, 4 engine airplane.
  7. I taught your mom all about apotheosis.
  8. Thoughts are that (1) if you're OCD and want it fixed, go for it. I get it. But (2) don't do it for the airlines' sake They're simply not going to look at it that closely. If they do question you on a penciled-in 2.3 discrepancy, it's to see how you react, not to actually question your hours. I handed the panel 4 logbooks (AF, Navy, electronic, and early civilian). Counting the application, they could have compared numbers from 5 sources. There's no way they all added up. Didn't hear a word about it.

Maybe SOCOM doesn't like them but I stick with them. https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2017/12/14/magpul-awarded-12-million-dod-contract-possibly-pmags-every-marine/
  10. I suspect you're the exception. You assume your RA isn't out flying, or on leave, or they work 4x10s and it's Monday, and FM isn't at lunch, or in training, or it's after 1500.

Dick's pulled a similar stunt after Sandy Hook. https://www.guns.com/2012/12/27/dicks-cancels-troy-carbine-pre-orders-troy-customers-irate/ Then undid it. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/other/dicks-sporting-goods-selling-assault-rifles-again-new-store-chain-f6C10964008 That's some serious conviction right there. They didn't sell them for a whole 9 months. Fuck em.
  12. Yet another reason I'd never make it as a politician or GO... I couldn't say that faux positive PC shit with a straight face.
  13. I couldn't totally follow your timeline but do your best to make a door to door move possible, meaning you can give the origin movers your destination address and be there to receive it without having to put your stuff in storage. They won't always have movers on the destination end available to unload you but avoiding storage should be high on your priority list.
  14. But guaranteed as soon as you bid to the Bus, it would reverse and the 73 guys would be sporting the Fu Manchu.
  15. You mean the intern they sent because it wasn't worth C-Suite time?
  16. Little Rock has some International Instructors in their LM school, right? Combined Loadmaster Initial Training?
  17. Right now, at my airline, in my seat, in my base, I regularly drop to 0. I don't have a trust fund so I gotta fill it back in, but if I wanted to go RVing for a month I could. Caveat: 22 months ago I couldn't drop ANYTHING. Those were lucrative times, but definitely short on flexibility.
  18. Yep, I was getting out. Airline hiring boom or not. Once I clearly realized that lots of guys dumber and lazier than me managed to buy nice houses and feed their families just fine, my AD days were numbered.
  19. Yeah, that was it. Been awhile.
  20. Yes. Whiting had OBOGS issues years ago. Guys were getting white solid flakes (yuck it up fuckers) in their masks. Gave guys a nasty smoker's lung cough. I left before it got to the "new boldface" level, so I don't know how the story ends.
  21. The first part was MPF.
  22. They're still out there. Unfortunately, like somebody said in this thread or elsewhere about the selective service gig, if you're just now moving to a major airline base and want to work PIRR nearby, get in line. There's seemingly been a mass exodus from the operational world in the last 6-9 months and everyone is trying to get out of the cockpit and keep their points. If you are going to commute to your airline gig from somewhere less densely populated with ties and short sleeve shirts, then you might have a shot.
  23. I don't know if there's any restriction on having one as your primary and one as your additional duty, but WTF would you do that? Guys get into these PIRR jobs to minimize their pain on the way to 20 years, not double it. You can get 35 points in either program independently, no need to double up.
